Football brings people together.  Beyond the players who are learning strategy, and team building skills, it allows fans to get together and mingle.  It’s also allows small businesses to get their name out.

Ancillary services.  Band, cheer squads, and athletic trainers all have the opportunity to hone their craft before taking it to the next level.

Supporter of other sports.  Football as well as basketball are the primary breadwinners in the IHS double A.  Therefore the money they take in through gate receipts, etc. will help fund the smaller sports such as wresting which ultimately FB players do participate in.

 

I didn't mean that from a numbers on the team standpoint,  I meant that the classification should be 32 in 6A, 62 in 5A and 4A and 3A and 2A, with the remaining lowest enrollment teams be in 1A.  Not leaving anyone out.  

While I dont agree with the contraction idea, the idea he has that I do agree with is the smaller size in 1A,  should be 32 in 6A, 64 in 5,4,3,2  and rest in 1A up to 64

He resigned at the last board meeting, things were not working out.

always found simple errors..... I even had a Hudl rep tell me last fall that he wouldn't even pay for the football assist as us football coaches can break it down just as fast and we will always be 100% correct.  

I agree with that assessment,  paying for something that can be done by a coach in about an hour.

I would say its a step up,  2A to 3A,  what Coach Spinks did with those players at Cascade was pretty phenomenal. They graduate a lot after this season. 

Congrat to Coach Spinks on the new job, I am sure he will have IC tough and ready to go come season time.

almost anything is better than Hudl Stats TBH,  I have told them this numerous times, but they want to keep their program in with what can be done on the breaking down of films and such,   there are alot of things missing in Hudl Stats.

I haves used and still use  Digital Scout,  it is the most complete FREE stat program I can find.

and there is the app you can download onto an Ipad or any device.  you can keep the stats on the sideline or in the booth.  There is an automatic dump to MaxPreps from this page as well. 

Just add your roster and schedule,  log onto the app, sync it up and you will be well on your way for the season.

New Pal and CG will no longer be playing each other either. Pretty good source says New Pal dropped CG.  I know CG picked up Decatur Central to fill that spot,  Not sure who NP filled that week with.

Welcome, and I am glad that everyone had a good time with their predictions. Was a great time for sure.

So, my question,   What happens if this got passed, and you end up with 2 MIC 6A Champs, because according to your breakdown,  that is probably exactly what would happen.

SO then it would be,  well the MIC cant play anymore, because they win all the time.

Not bashing the idea, just a thought.

Didnt WeBo chuck one down field to get to 35,  i dont have a problem with it either way,  the kid that caught the final TD for Triton Central, that was his only TD all year. probably made that kids night. But I keep forgetting, this is an  "Its all about me" world we live in this day. Dont think to wonder why something may happen, or just be happy for a kids to score his first TD. Good Luck in State.

I just dont understand why people keep bringing up "needing a good passing game"    This isnt the NFL, it isnt college,  you can have a really great running scheme, run the ball 98% of the time, and still win.  IMAGINE THAT.  

3 possibilites during a passing play, and 2 of them are bad. ill take my chances getting 4 yards and a cloud of dust, and must moving the ball at will.  I know its not pretty, its not exciting, but it WINS.

Unless, Triton Central brings in extra bleachers like Monrovia did for the 2 years MD visited,  there will be limited seating for the MD faithful.

So Monrovia played MD 3 years in a row, in 2014, they picked Saturday, we picked Noon EST I believe, MD wins,  next year in 2015, Monrovia at home again, MD picks Saturday, I believe we started that one at 7PM EST, Monrovia wins. 2016, Monrovia picks Friday Night, 7PM CST start I believe is what MD picked,  Monrovia wins.   Not that it says anything, but the one time I would say we picked an early time, it didn't affect MD at all.

Just from experience of driving down the Evansville and playing on a Friday Night and winning. Its not IMPOSSIBLE.  Monrovia did it in 2016 driving down on Friday, and playing MD in the Bowl the same evening.
