Sectional 34
Laville to Lewis Cass
67 miles 1 hr 5 mins
-
Didn’t say Laville was going to win but they will score!
And Lavilles defense can hold their own.
-
Laville can pass the ball!
-
Come on, 28 and 40 points!! Laville is 9-2 for reason! They will score and I say 35-21 game at most! I think they are primed for an upset.
-
Knox 35 Twin Lakes 14
LaVille 27 Bremen 6
Culver 38 SCUM 15
Judson 28 Winamac 14
-
Thought the Wabash game was the best game of the year offensively for Laville. They spread the defense out with some empty formations and had a good flow offensively. Hopefully it continues into the 2nd round. If so, I can’t see the game being close. Not sure Bremen can score against Lavilles defense. So 2 scores should be a good starting point spread.
-
Does this win tonight make the Kings look past the rest of the field? Lavilles passing game looked good tonight!! That what it will take to beat Cass, something Pioneer could not do.
-
Despite the offensive woes at times, I can’t see this being close, especially with Lavilles defense. Wabash has no business staying close in this game. Although the same was said about Lavilles three previous opponents to. What does Wabash have that should scare an opponent?

After last night I think that if Cass is healthy Pioneer is in trouble.
Or after that big win, it sets up perfect for a letdown and a Pioneer upset?!?!?! Should be a good game next Friday!

Laville 35, Culver 15
Knox whatever they want to score, Caston 0 - (I wonder how many games Caston could win in the Midwest conference?? 2-3 is my guess)
Pioneer 42, Judson 7
Winamac 28, Triton 14

Coach How has made LaVille relevant and all you do is complain. Have you offered up your credentials as to how the offense should be run? Let the QB run the offense and get his....When Doyle is running and passing, the Lancer offense rolls.
I’m not sure who coach how is but I guarantee Coach Hostrawser doesn’t want relevant! He wants to do something that hasn’t been done before at Laville, like play a 15 game season. All I’m doing is pointing out the fact that if the offense doesn’t get better, which they have always struggled against quality opponents, as they have again this season, they will not get there. I’m sure it’s a concern of his too! His teams are always solid defensively, it’s the other side of the ball that seems to be the issue. This year looks to be no different. So if that is complaining, then I’m the biggest. By the way, you better just stick to soccer!

A dub is a dub. Take it and go into next week. Weather wasnt particular great for a team like LaVille.
But the weather Was the same for everyone else in the conference and they all managed to hold court and put points on the board as expected. Underperforming offense and that’s why they will not do anything in post season. Very disappointing to watch! Sure, take the dub, that’s what people are concerned with but they have not improved offensively from game one, actually regressed, and that is the most discouraging part.

Only thing I would like to see is seeding the sectionals. Reward the teams that have a good year.

Looks like everyone lived up to their expectations by blowing out opponents except for the Lancers, scoring 17 points in final period.
-
Judson 0
Laville 0
- 3rd qtr

Nasty in north central Indiana! Rainy and cold, getting to a possible low of 41

Honestly.
The two teams LaVille lost too are teams that are better then they are. I think if Pioneer and Cass are in opposite bracket. LaVille will be in sectional final. LaVille is just really good at the same time Pioneer has had once in a generation type talents (walker, kiser, gregorich and lewellens) and Knox...nothing to be ashamed of...and I don't think they'll beat either one next year. In 2021... North Judson, Winamac and LaVille along with Pioneer will be the top 4 teams (in no order)
I would disagree with you on that. They outplayed Laville but the talent is there at Laville. They just can’t win against quality opponents! Last year they had to be the favorite in that sectional and they blew it against a team they beat handily 2 weeks prior. It’s becoming a common theme.
-
There’s a lot of noise on here, I t can’t be the play calling that’s holding them back! Ha. I just know that with this freshman group they have, they better get it straightened out. To much potential there to mess up 3 more years!

Go back to the BONE!!!

Winamac 40-6
LaVille In a tight one 20-16
Pioneer stops Culvers run game 46-12
Knox Big 45-0
Hopefully weather cooperates
Looks like the weather may be a problem again tomorrow night. Guru, what do you see that keeps Judson/Laville game close? I could see it being possible, depends if Laville can figure out their offensive woes. Not sure when they last beat a quality opponent? Last year at Triton maybe??

That sux! Any chance they play JV to stay healthy for tournament run?

I can't speak for Pioneer, but I don't think Cass has anyone seriously banged up. They play a big Hamilton Heights team and an even bigger WL team the last two weeks, but right now injuries shouldn't be a problem for them.
Hasn’t Cass played WL already?
-
How are the health of teams going into the last 2 weeks?
-
In the first round, I could only see Delphi beating Bremen. Possibly Rochester staying with Laville for a half or so.
Second round, Cass in a big win against whoever they play. Then in a rematch, Pioneer by 3 scores again over Laville.
Finals, Pioneer squeaks one out in this rematch.
