6A: North Central over Lafayette Jeff, 35-31

4A: Marian over Evansville Central, 21-14
3A: Chatard over Gibson Southern, 42-19

Now that, is a BOLD 6a pick right there.

That's why one doesn't believe everything written in a paper. Sometimes one actually needs to be there......or at least watch it on TV
There are 3 types of lies...lies, damn lies, and statistics.......
Well said. The only way to really tell is by actually watching.

That doesn't mean much at the end of the game if you couldn't hold onto it.
Yes I know, but you said it was against a good defense...

Couldnt help but notice big #54 Ethan Crowe in that film clip. He is listed as a 6-5, 300lb SR center. We see guards and tackles this size but rarely at the center position.
What are his college prospects?
Is he a Big Ten talent?

He was recently offered a PWOS at Clemson has several offers from other D1 schools.

So, in other words, mistakes on offense against a good defense.
Somewhat, but not a whole lot. CG was moving the ball at will against them all night.

I saw both personal foul calls on film. Both were warranted. And the call above actually was in CG favor. Was not ruled a fumble.
True, but throughout the course of the game there were some very questionable calls. But that’s not what determined the whole game, turnovers screwed them

Jayson West proved once again how tremendous of a coach he is. We really miss him at Lawrence Central.
Not so much how good a coach he is. CG handled them pretty easily, turnovers and poor officiating cost them.

I didn’t see the game and don’t have access to the IndyStar. How was CG clearly the better team? Besides not having Steele of course.
If you go to YouTube and look up “New Five Creative”, they have CG football games on live stream. You can watch a little bit of the WC game

Did I miss something because I’ve seen nothing about the specifics of Steele’s injury?
I know people can’t get into much but I assume it’s not multiple weeks or season threatening?
He’s nursing a hamstring injury, not sure on how severe

As most of you probably know CG lost to New Pal week 2 last year 31-9. It was the first time New Pal had played a 6a school, and a MIC school. It was also CG’s first time playing them. This year’s matchup is going to be another good one, but I see CG coming out playing inspired football after last year’s loss, along with a very tough week 1 loss to Warren (Although CG was missing probably the best football player in the state, IMO, and the officiating was a little questionable). With that said I think CG takes this one 35-14 with a hopefully healthy Carson Steele, and an amazing defense.

Thanks for letting me know. Should’ve gone through before posting this

Curious to see how you guys think the MIC will play out this year. I personally see CG and Carmel atop the leaderboard for a good chunk of the season IMHO. Also could see WC and BD sneaking in there.
