    Kyle Guy’s younger brother.

Heritage Hills was all class during the game - extending hands to help opposing players up, never showing any frustration, etc.  Impressive young men.  A credit to themselves, their parents, their coaches….and their community.

I just can’t imagine a team this well coached, young and loaded with talent not making another trip or two to LOS over these next couple of years.

I could not agree with this more. All class from kickoff til 0:00.

Unfortunately for the Patriots, they ran into two of the best teams in Chatard history in 2019 and 2023.  Most years would be much closer or sometimes even a different outcome. They will be back and I will be rooting for them and their great fanbase.

I assume Chatard will wear the White on Whites?

Heritage Hills wore Blue on Blues for semistate (and the 2019 finals)

I'd guess they will go for Blue on Red (my favorite and the traditional combo)

Bishop Chatard traditionally wears white on white, but has worn blue pants on the road on occasion over past few years

I would give Knox a punchers chance if they were running Coach Radtke's Wishbone and playing at Broad Ripple. Due to IHSAA restrictions and @Lysander chagrin the Semi-State playing days at Broad Ripple are no longer. The Knox Redskins get to play at the shiny new (well not brand new but newish) palace at Kessler Blvd and Crittenden Ave instead of the pasture 1 mile Northwest from Chatard where bloodied knees and elbows were born.

In all seriousness it is not probable that the Redskins will upset the Trojans but it's not impossible. The beauty of it is that's why we play the games they will have the chance to try and beat Chatard and getting that chance is all you can ask for. Now if only we could petition for a one last hurrah at Broad Ripple Ave and Compton St. all would be right in the @Lysander household!

@Lysander and I will both petition to play at the Hallowed Grounds of Broad Ripple!

Shout out to @Cyoguru and the St Michael Crusaders for their 14-6 Cadet AAA victory over the St. Pius Panthers yesterday in a hard fought win.  Wistfully (to me), the PA system yesterday echoed names that have been heard on Indianapolis Catholic HS football fields both currently and for some decades.  It’s a bit of a time warp to attend these great CYO games.

Two questions for the Guru, though.

First, just how many times have the Crusaders played in and or won the Cadet Championship in the last 20 years? Seems they are always playing this time of year.

Second, and most importantly, is this most recent Championship the swan song for the Guru?

I read this St. Michael group is 53-1 over their 6 years in CYO. Pretty remarkable!

with absolutely no disrespect intended to Guerin, Brebeuf, Ritter, Scecina, or any other Catholic HS, would be nice to see a "Commander-in-Chief" type trophy for the historic "Big 3" Catholic programs...Cathedral, Chatard and Roncalli.  I guess this year, it would be going to Chatard.

YARN | Guess? That ain't no guess that's what it gonna be ...
