crimsonace1 Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 New Palestine at Mt. Vernon: It's the Battle for the Boundary Rail. MV's Joliba Brogan is one of the most dynamic RBs in the state and the Marauders' offense has been explosive so far, but their defense has allowed 35 ppg. The Dragons' defense has been very good, and the offense has been even moreso. NP's Josh Ranes is averaging 17 yards per carry and had 177 yards on 10 carries last week against Yorktown. Pendleton Heights at Greenfield-Central: The Cougars rolled to 400 yards against Mt. Vernon last week in a 43-29 victory. G-C trailed at halftime, but quickly turned the game with three straight second-half TDs to go up 36-22. PH is 2-1 after a 42-21 win at New Castle last week. Two solid QBs will be featured in this one. Delta at Yorktown: Another dynamite rivalry matchup. Last year, Delta's win in this matchup signaled its arrival as a 3A contender. Delta is a 3A Top 10 team and has a veteran group. Yorktown is young, but has some veteran playmakers. Eagles are coming off a blowout win over Shelbyville, while Yorktown moved the ball well against New Palestine but struggled to finish drives. New Castle at Shelbyville: The Trojans had a shutout win over Jay County two weeks ago, then played Pendleton Heights to a 42-21 game, while Shelbyville has taken back-to-back losses. Quote
