  1. I think Sparty was put to bed. Like said Carmel wins the north and it’s not even close.
  2. I guess we will see how good Homestead is this week. Carmel just routed Westfield. Seems to me the train is rolling for Carmel.
  3. I couldn’t agree more. If they want to compete with Indy schools they have to get away from the inclusive scheduling. Hurts them more then what people think.
  4. Not sure why everyone is so high on Homestead. If they would have handled Noblesville, it may have changed my mind. Merrillville on the other hand is hit or miss. Just watch the Valpo game. Yes Valpo did win that game but, if your gonna give Carmel a game you can’t give up 19 unanswered points in the 4th. Carmel is too good, deep and disciplined.
  5. It’s playoff football you can’t afford to have an off night. I suppose if you’re homestead faithful, you're thankful that it was against Noblesville rather then Carmel or Carroll. I believe Merrilville is a good football team I just don’t think their depth will allow them to handle Carmel.
  6. The competition in the north just isn't there. Homestead playing Noblesville tells you everything you need to know about them. Noblesville was not very good this year and play in a darn good conference. Accompany that with them playing Carmel the second game of the season and Carmel shutting them out. Point being due to the fact that Ft Wayne schools play in the SAC it hurts them come playoff time. The DAC isn't what it used to be, and Penn is having a down year. I just don't see anyone beating Carmel in the north.
  7. Not really sure who comes out of the south in 6A, but Carmel will come out of the North and it wont be close. I'd put my money on them to win at LOS on Thanksgiving Weekend
  8. Alexandria is already looking ahead to basketball season. Friday nights game was just bad. The kids looked checked out and very lethargic. @GV5 is right in saying that they have the talent but the coaching is just terrible. Until a change is made the Tigers will continue to under achieve. Elwood on the other hand has some things to look forward to. I thought the quarterback was a pretty solid kid for a freshman and his future looks bright hopefully they can get some positive energy around the program and get more kids out.
