  1. I wanted everyone to see I paid to his charity Goodluck next week. I definitely think North Judson wins State this year. So that's 1 Northern Team
  2. Change your mind about Mclaughlin lol? Goodluck next week I really hope you guys beat Lures
  3. He had an official visit to Middle Tennessee State last weekend. Seems like the new focus is on recruits in that current year. When I coached it always seems a year ahead. I'm thinking he gets more interest next season.
  4. For the record it seems like Myles Mclaughlin isn't comparable to Pruitt over 250 yards
  5. Name your charity I'm a man of my word.
  6. Fairfield lost to Jimtown 35-0 Knox beat Jimtown you forgot that one.
  7. This sounds fun, I'm in.
  8. I'll accept your apology tomorrow. 🙂 Garrett will have no answer for Mclaughlin and you will see. I coached college football for years and know several people that work for max preps let me tell Max Preps knows nothing about 3A Indiana football. Nor do they care.
  9. Lol I live in Ohio and my kids are 10, 8, and 6. How do you explain his numbers as a sophomore vs West Lafayette in the Regional final last season?
  10. Who dictates strength of schedule? That's obviously bias, Maybe it's you cause comparing Mclaughlin to Pruitt is about the most ridiculous thing I have heard in a long time.
  11. These rankings may be updated weekly but when a bias exists they are meaningless. Bias is the only way Garrett's schedule is 15 spots higher than Knox. Either way you'll see tonight they won't stop Mclaughlin. You guys said the same thing last year about West Lafayette and the Sargain rankings were bias last year also.
  12. The Sagarin Rating are made before the Season. Garrett has beat 3 teams with a winning record all season. The Schedules are simply not comparable. Don't believe a pre season list go look at them. How do you explain a OT win vs a 4-6 Dekalb? Garrett's wins over Adams Central and West Noble are great but the rest are VERY weak. Knox's win over Marian alone trumps these. Wins over Griffith, Pioneer, LaVille, and Jimtown are more impressive than anything on Garrett's schedule beside the two mentioned. I challenge you to find Garrett wins outside West Noble and Adams Central that are Equal to Griffith, Pioneer, LaVille and Jimtown.
  13. Mclaughlin is 10th all time in scoring and 15th all in rushing yards and he's only a junior. How is Pruitt seriously even mentioned in the same conversation. Here is the truth these Garrett kids have never played a kid like Mclaughlin and everyone will see that tonight. Ask West Lafayette how under estimating Mclaughlin worked out last year. As for the schedule North Judson would beat Garrett. NJ will win the 1a state title this year. Who has Garrett played? The strength of schedule is very lopsided in Knox's favor.
  14. I believe people are drastically under estimating Knox. Myles Mclaughlin is the best running back in Indiana and is top 10 statically in the country. Conroy also has run for over 1500 yards. These 2 will be to much to handle for Garrett. Knox has also played a much harder schedule overall. Do not let 9-3 vs 12-0 fool you. Knox shutting our Marion last week should show Knox's defense is playing there best football at the right time. I believe this game will look similar to last seasons Regional game when Knox upset West Lafayette and Mclaughlin ran for 250+ and scored 5 tds. As for a potential 3a public school to beat Lures Knox is that team not Garrett. Knox 35 Garrett 14
  15. It will be fun to see what Myles Mclaughlin accomplishes in the next 2 years. Only a sophomore now I think the sky is the limit for him. Kiser from Pioneer plays for Notre Dame and I think Mclaughlin will have some major opportunities at the next level. It will also be great to see Chatard move up and play some more evenly matched teams next year. No disrespect but I'll never understand indiana and illinois private schools playing in these smaller divisions.
  16. To start this off I graduated from Knox, I now live near Columbus Ohio. So proud of these kids this is something the Knox community has always wanted and deserved. It's definitely hard to compare these two schools. I have watched Chatard be a top contender for state titles my entire life and decades prior. 13 state championships and 18 appearances I believe (correct me if I'm wrong). This is Knox's 3rd sectional title ever, 1st regional ever and 1st semi state game ever. Chatard may have every upper hand possible but, there is something to be said about the will of a group trying to make history. There is something to said about the hungrier team. Lastly there is something to be said about having the best athlete on the field and Myles Mclaughlin is definitely the best player on the field tonight. Goodluck to my Redskins!
  17. Hoping Valpo can win this game, but New Pal is possibly the best team in the State regardless of class. Carmel is probably as good but regardless I'll go New Pal 42 Valpo 21
  18. Hoping East Noble can get it done. I'm sure Memorial will do there best to keep East Nobles dynamic offense off the field. But against my Brickies the East Noble D sure played lights out. I'm gonna go East Noble 28 Memorial 24
  19. Yep rough night congrats to all the teams that advanced. Majority of our Hobart team is juniors we will be great again next season, on to wrestling season!
  20. Yep rough night for the Region teams hats off to all the teams that advanced. To you Temptation your a great forum troll keep up the great work.
  21. Congrats to East Noble now go win the state title you guys deserve it.
  22. Hobart is a run first offense but by no means a run only offense. Johnson has thrown for over 1000 yards. They have one of the best Wrs in our area in Zach Vode. The Hobart passing also has Matthew Benton and Tyler Schultz heavily involved. The Brickie offense definitely would give the impression on paper of a stop the run and win type situation but they are not. You can really see the offensive passing power of them grow over the season on film. In my opinion Hobart's offense is gonna suprise you with how balanced they are. As far as Np goes they were not bailed out, hobart's wrs beat NPs dbs and were tackled clear pass interference calls are not bail outs. But Hobart can throw the ball and have a solid passing game there run game is so good they havent needed as much.
  23. As far as Morton goes they scored 7 with our varsity d on the field on a short field and jojo johnson D1 talent made a big play the other 14 were against jv with Hobart up by 30+ points and Merrillville is much better than East Noble they are in the 6A semi state. I sound like a broken record here Bailey will not be able to scramble in this game. Bailey is gonna turn the ball over in this game he will fumble or throw ints most likely both. I think everyone is overestimating his abilities. Just about our entire defense is faster than him. For sure all 4 of our lbs would beat him in a 40 yard dash. I'm thinking hobart will overflow for sure and possibly East Noble too both communities are doing right by the students really putting in a great effort on both sides to make this a special event.
  24. Mathew Benton leads the state in Interceptions with 11. Vode one of the best WRs 6'3" 190 faster than any East Noble Wr plays safety. Hobart's 4 LBs one of the fastest and best cores in the state. Hobarts defense stops everything. Jojo Johnson from Morton is a D1 WR, Glass from Merrillville D1 WR, they have seen better guys. I dont think Parker is gonna have 2 important things. He will have legitimately less time to throw the ball and his WRs wont be open. You said it ourself he wont beat us with his legs. So without open guys how will his arm win the game?
  25. My observations are different, I believe East Noble hasn't played a team as fast and physical as Hobart. Every team on East Nobles schedule is inferior to Hobart on both sides of the ball. Hobart has plain and simple played teams much faster, bigger, and outright better than East Noble. Merrillville, Chesterton, Morton, Andrean and New Prairie that's 5 opponents better than anyone East Noble played. Hobart's defense doesnt thrive on big plays. Hobarts defense complete stops teams from executing. They create turnovers through pressure and pure defensive dominance. East Noble passes well and creates rushing opportunities via scrambling with Parker, Hobart will stop that. Just because no else has isnt a valid reason Hobart wont stop this team. They have stopped better teams already. I also know and respect the East Noble community and football program I coached high school football there and as college football coach I recruited Ft. Wayne was pals with Chris Depew for many years.
