  1. This week's NLC match-ups per the John Harrell website: Friday, Sep. 20 Concord at Goshen ©, 7 pm Northridge at Warsaw ©, 7 pm Plymouth at Memorial ©, 7 pm Wawasee at NorthWood ©, 7 pm
  2. Brandon Pruitt at West Noble....see the link below: https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2020/brandon-pruitt-211699 Ryan Brandt at Angola...see the link below: https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2020/ryan-brandt-230667
  3. My picks minus the Fairfield game: Central Noble 21 Fremont 7...Fremont is greatly improved, but size gets them in this one. Churubusco 35 Prairie Heights 14....closer than recent years. Eastside 28 Garrett 14....Eastside surprised me last week. Angola 42 Lakeland 14...Angola's 0-4 record is totally jaded by their strength of schedule thus far.
  4. Though they may not be truly reflecting where teams are right now...in about week 7 or 8...Sagarin Ratings are VERY accurate. (They don't take in account injuries though 🙂 )
  5. Looks like Plymouth is the team to beat this year in the NLC.
  6. A few surprises for sure last week! Here are this week's game...what are your thoughts and predictions for the NECC? Friday, Sep. 20 Central Noble at Fremont ©, 7 pm Churubusco at Prairie Heights ©, 7 pm Garrett at Eastside, 7 pm Lakeland at Angola ©, 7 pm West Noble at Fairfield ©, 7 pm (Chart from the John Harrell site).
  7. From the John Harrell website: Friday, Sep. 13 Concord at Wawasee ©, 7 pm Goshen at NorthWood ©, 7 pm Northridge at Plymouth ©, 7 pm Warsaw at Memorial ©, 7 pm My guesses are: Concord 42 Wawasee 14....I think this might be the easiest pick of the night for the NLC. Goshen 14 Northwood 28...Goshen might not have the fire power to keep of with Northwood. Northridge 29 Plymouth 28 Double OT...based off of Swordfish's comment, i like the Raiders...however Plymouth might be the team to beat this year in the NLC. Warsaw 35 Memorial 21 ...Close at the half, but "Bart Ball" gets the best of Memorial.
  8. My picks minus the Fairfield game: Angola 14 West Noble 15 OT....this one was hard to pick because the strengths of schedule seem so lopsided. However, because WN is 3-0 and Angola is 0-3 for the first time since 2001, I will give the edge to WN on pure momentum alone. I wouldn't be surprised if it went the other way thought because Angola has played a tough schedule for their first three games. Busco 35 Eastside 21..........I should never doubt Churubusco. Garrett 21 Lakeland 14....I think Garret is getting better, and the Lakers have struggled a little. 4th quarter td gives Garrett the win. Prairie Heights 7 Central Noble 28...I like CN's size and speed...they find the win column this week.
  9. I feel like week 3 really told us a lot more about each team. Here are this week's match-ups: Friday, Sep. 13 Angola at West Noble ©, 7 pm Eastside at Churubusco ©, 7 pm Fairfield at Fremont, 7:30 pm Garrett at Lakeland ©, 7 pm Prairie Heights at Central Noble ©, 7 pm (Chart comes from the John Harrell site) What are your thoughts and predictions in the NECC this week?
  10. Who is this guy? If you are a Wawasee Warrior fan, then I guess laughing at other people's misfortunes makes you very different than us....because none of us are laughing at ALL of yours. #dudecameoutswinging
  11. I would agree, except I think the odds of Northwood winning are lower than the others. Plymouth is off to a great start.
  12. These are my NLC predictions this week: Elkhart Memorial 28 Goshen 14: It will be close at halftime, but a few turnovers will hurt the Redhawks. Wawasee 0 Northridge 42: Looking at the first two weeks, it seems obvious that this might be a bit of a mismatch. Northwood 21 Concord 31: If you want to call it an upset, go ahead...but I think the Panthers might have been exposed a little bit last week...against a darn good opponent. The fact that it wasn't close though, should make us all realizes that the Panthers are human. I still think it will be tough for NW to replace such a talented point scorer they have have had for the past three years. Warsaw 49 Plymouth 42: This one might be a shootout...regardless, I still like what the Tigers are doing, and I think, in the end, it gets the best of Plymouth.
  13. Slick...I love your reference here, and I love your profile pic! Prime time!
  14. Looks like it might be a good one tonight in Garrett...good luck to all teams tonight, have fun and stay healthy.
  15. Are you saying that because Garrett seems up, or do you think the Eagles might be vulnerable? won* not one.
  16. I am excited for the Tigers. It's good to see the NLC get more and more competitive.
  17. I was surprised...they were kind of loaded. Also, curious to what need you are talking about. Regardless this was definitely a worthy opponent.
  18. Glad someone finally replied! Here are my picks minus the FF game: Busco 21 Garrett 14....I actually think it could be even closer or go the other way. Garrett is improved from a year ago, and Busco is always tough. River Valley 22 Fremont 7....River Valley beat Fremont last year, and I think it will continue. OLSM 42 Angola 14......Orchard Lake typically plays Penn on this week, and they are at about that 6A level. Big bump in strength of schedule for Angola. West Noble 21 Eastside 20.....I think this one could go either way, so I am definitely going with the big school division. I wouldn't be surprised if either team one. I do think WN has some very talented athletes. Good luck to the Falcons on Friday night!
  19. It is lonely in this posting-less thread, but I will press on....here are this week match-ups: Central Noble at Fairfield, 7 pm Churubusco at Garrett, 7 pm Fremont at River Valley (Mich.), 7 pm Lakeland at Prairie Heights, 7 pm Orchard Lake St. Mary's (Mich.) at Angola, 7 pm West Noble at Eastside, 7 pm Graph is credited to the John Harrell Website. What are your thoughts and predictions?
  20. Thanks! The team we played had TONS of speed and size...they were no slouch.
  21. Week 2 will tell us a lot about every team this year. It's hard to know after one week who is up and who is down. Interesting NLC match-ups this week will be Warsaw vs. Michigan City, Ridge and St. Joe, and Northwood with Chatard....awesome non-conference strength of schedule for the NLC this week.
  22. As I continue to talk to myself, I will go ahead and make my predictions minus the FF game: AC 21 Eastside 14...I think it might be close, but AC has been on a roll lately. Angola 42 Leo 41...I am going to stick with Angola and just assume that Dekalb has a pretty tough team this year. I believe this week will truly tell us a lot more about the Hornets. Central Noble 20 Columbia City 14....going with the upset here. CC is the favorite. Churubusco 28 Lakeland 7....I wonder if the Lakers are down from past years, or Wawassee, who they lost to last week, is better than they have been recently. Busco has won this one 4 out of the last 5, and I think the Eagles continue to roll. Fremont 34 LC 21......just going with the NECC and the fact that Fremont is currently undefeated. Dekalb 52 Garrett 21....I think the Barons are up this year. PH 14 Bronson 28....I don't know anything about either team...this is just a hunch. Wawasee 7 West Noble 21....West Noble has some good skilled players, and the Warriors will not be able to stop them. West Noble wins, making it threes years in a row that they have beat their neighbors to the west. I will add, that I feel like week 2 will tell us a lot about all of the teams out there. We will find out who is up and who is down after these matchups. Good luck to all teams, stay healthy and represent the NECC well.
