If I put together a schedule like that, here would be my reasons:
- Can't find other teams to play. Example: I heard the state of Texas banned any of their schools from playing the IMG Academy. Some may view a school like Cathedral the same way and not want to play them.
- Play top teams and you attract top talent and some kids may think traveling is fun/big-time football.
- Get on ESPN/TV. It seems they like to show top teams from different states.
- Avoid having to plays teams twice. All of Warren Central's tournament opponents were repeats.

I'm sure he does some extrapolation, because there are several teams that currently have partial schedules. I doubt AD's submit them a few games at a time.
It would have to be a well distributed half to get a full schedule for all teams. Theoretically, there's no reason to believe if half of the schools in the Indianapolis area submitted their schedules, you'd get the same percentage in the Fort Wayne area. Not necessarily. If one school is getting a new AD, it could delay submissions for several teams even if all the conference games are set. -
@CGFan2017 Nothing against him personally and I don't want to start any rumors. He only has stats for 13 games in the on maxpreps. Didn't play week#4 against Lawrence Central: http://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/david-bell/1eIQZzeKEeW-8KA2nzwbTA/gendersport/football-stats.htm Click on the Varsity 18-19 link and look at the game by game.
I tried to find a newspaper article about the game, but didn't find any. -
Bell got kicked out of a game and suspended for the next. That and being injured in the state championship didn’t help his cause.

Center Grove will be loaded.

Is this the first season for real spring practice? I’d be curious to see how teams will take advantage of two practices a week.

I read that Gavit would become a junior high, but Clark will stay open. The latest article didn’t mention this.

Are you talking about 7 on 7 passing leagues? There may not be a lot of carry-over, but it should motivate kids to compete and work hard.
It is valuable as a practice period to pull together the passing game skills and work on coverage recognition and timing. Lineman get to focus blitz pickup.

He won 3 consequitive sectional championships at Zionsville. His record against Pike was 2-1.
Just looking at overall record with no consideration for the changes in the level of competition isn’t going to give an accurate picture of Zionsville. The previous coach struggled his last few years as well.

Can you imagine if Kiser played for Center Grove?
