Were you at these games or are you finding old school newspapers or an old Jeff yearbook?  Looks like a first-hand account.  If so, you and @kingtutneed to get together and write a book.

Ha ha! Yes! I could never do what Rudy has done.  This is some info that he might not have.  I would like everyone to post any Indiana high school football history they might have.

    Very cool!

I don’t think I have all those yet but I’ll work to get them added!

Those northern Indiana teams were extremely strong back in the day. That area dominated the state until the 1950s and 1960s when central Indiana started to take over.

    Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for everything you have done!  Years ago I started to do what you have done, but I never had the time and I couldn't get everything from my phone like you can today.  I thought they had a pinned topic for high school football history, but couldn't find it.  It is amazing that you have all the scores back to 1947.  I don't know what you need to complete everything, but I could post what I have.  I know you have all of southern Indiana all the way back.  Thank you again for everything you have done!

Wonder what the Jeff - Logansport score was if they played that year?

These are all just cool scores, especially given the current state of the teams.  I love that Notre Dame / Culver game.  Not so much the score, but the idea of high schoolers getting an opportunity to play against Notre Dame.

That might be why South Bend had the best teams 100 years ago, because they played against Notre Dame.  October 21, 1921- South Bend 79 Lafayette Jeff 0.  That game was played right before the Notre Dame/Nebraska game.  Logansport did not play Jeff in 1921.  Logansport did beat Rensselaer 22-15 on October 15, 1921.  Rensselaer beat Jeff 60-6 on October 1, 1921

  7. Lafayette Jeff beat Richmond 80-0 at Jeff last night.  Jeff has only scored more than 79 points two other times in school history.  Jeff beat Otterbein 84-0 on September 13, 1924 and Jeff beat Kentland 83-6 on Wednesday November 5, 1930.  Lafayette Jeff started playing football in 1921.  My other what the heck score would be Frontier 6 Clinton Central 0.  Noblesville Home school scored 43 points on Frontier and Clinton Central couldn't score a point.  If you have a what the heck score, post it here.

Don't know if WL JV is just a skeleton crew or not, but after their varsity beat Harrison's varsity 27-14 in the opener, Harrison's JV literally named the score against WL's JV 47-0 ... missing two PATs to put the score at 47 which was Omarion Dixon's number when he played there.

I know Harrison will be fine the next few years.  So there is some hope that someone in the conference will beat WL in the next few years.  WL has literally named the score against most of the the teams in the HC the last few years.

  9. How many years will it be before someone in the Hoosier conference beats West Lafayette?

    WL regular season records

    2022  9-0

    2021  9-0

2020  8-1 lost to Lafayette Jeff

2019  8-2 lost to Lafayette Jeff and Lewis Cass

    2018  9-0

    2017  8-1 lost to Crete-Monee (IL)

2016  7-2 lost to McCutcheon and LCC

West Lafayette seems to be getting better and the other teams seem to be getting worse.

I get wanting to raise a flag at Richmond's decline, but why the comparison to Indiana Deaf?

I guess it was to show how far Richmond has declined.  Did you ever think Indiana Deaf would be ranked higher than Richmond?  I just saw the rankings and noticed this and thought I would share the info.  I know things change, but it still seems hard to believe.  In 1992 Richmond gave Ben Davis a good game, now it seems like they can't beat anybody.  I feel bad that Richmond has to make the long trip to Lafayette Jeff this Friday.

  11. Sagarin Ratings has Indiana Deaf ranked 262 and Richmond 268.  I think Richmond has just about had it.  It can only get better from here.  Congrats to Indiana Deaf, the have a great program and they make Indiana proud.  Richmond is not the only team that might need some smelling salts for this year.  Attica, Plymouth, and Whitko fans might be feeling faint after the first three games.  But there is always next year.  Richmond always had great teams from the 1950's until about 1995.  It is just hard to believe.
