  1. My son plays for LaVille so while I am admittedly biased, I have watched a lot of LaVille football. This game will hinge on turnovers. Sometimes LaVille tries to get "cute" with play calling and there have been times some players have tried some in game heroics. More times than not, it has led to turnovers. So, if LaVille can play smart and win the turnover battle, I believe they have a very good shot in this game. Looking at the schedule, Pioneer has done better against common foes, but LaVille has had a more challenging overall schedule and are battle tested. I think it's gonna be closer than what most are expecting.
  2. LaVille at Pioneer - I'm being a total homer here, but I do believe this is going to be an absolute slugfest. If LaVille can limit their turnovers, this is going to be a really good game. South Adams at North Miami - South Adams seems pretty legit and I'm taking the Starfires in this one. Sheridan at South Putnam - I believe most are believing that South Putnam will be representing the south at Lucas Oil and I have no reason to disagree with that assessment. Milan at Providence - Providence has been one of the top dogs all season long and I think they keep it going for at least one more week.
  3. Regional championship week: INSC still has two teams in it. Any surprises in your opinion? And let me know who ya got in the regional round? Angola (7 - 5) at Knox (12 - 0) LaVille (8 - 4) at Pioneer (11 - 1)
  4. I think the biggest issue came on 2nd down. There was an inadvertent whistle and the head official decided to replay 2nd down. That's where all the confusion happened and fans and coaches started to get upset. It would have been nice if an announcement could have been made so everyone could understand what was going on. Granted it's not the priority of the officials to make sure the fans know what's going on. It also seemed like the Andrean coach was trying to take advantage of the confusion and convince the officials it was a turnover on downs. In the end, they seemed to have gotten it right. It just took 20 minutes to get there.
