1. I don’t see early leaving for 1 year to return to exactly where he came from. They should just go ahead and hire their DC. Keep it within the program. 2. Not sure who Cronk is so I’m not really going to touch on it. 3. it’s earls job. I don’t think there is even any question. If they wanted to hire Robbie or Joe, they would have done it after Crabtree left the first time. I think with Marty retiring sooner rather than later, Joe will take over as AD. They may stay around to coach but I don’t see them getting it. Where does Crabtree go? I’ve seen a 3A school that could be a powerhouse but that doesn’t give me a school to look towards. 4. I like Rector. You gave him a full year with those kids(Minus his first couple growing years and his deployment) and he did well. I believe they were ranked. But, is rector the one Schelsky wants his kid to play from and does Rector have the big time connections for him? Not sure. He will be there this year but not sure about next. 5. RP wins conference again. Depending on where RP goes in the Sectional, they may make a decent run. 6. Could be up or down, I see them building this year from last as every team will in the second year under a new coach. 7. Coach Dean, please stay. You got a good future ahead. Keep bringing kids in and teaching them. You have brought Attica a long way. 8. I have no clue what Covington is returning and who they lost. I’m at a loss this early until I start doing some more research.

This week sucks. No games make me wanna go watch this week. covington at Attica: not too much to say. Covington will win this one pretty handily. I do like coach Dean though. Attica will be back up soon! Covington wins this one 41-13 Fountain Central hosts NV. Just last year we had a one score game between these two teams. Fountain Central should be making some ruckus heading into Sectional. This week should go however they want. Maybe this is the time I bring out the “They can start preparing for basketball season.” FC 48 NV 7. south vermillions heads to Seeger. This game will be over easy. South Vermillion will bounce back and get a win next week against Attica. But this week, the game will be all Seeger. Seeger 56 SV 18 The only Half way exciting game we have but how exciting is it really when Riverton will score 50+. PH is bouncing back this season compared to where I thought they would be. Doesn’t matter, RP will dominate until they meet South Putnam. RP 62 PH 21

Attica @ The Tenderloins Once Again, I think Coach Dean is doing great things at Attica. Give them a year or 2 and they will be a well ran team. Stick around Coach Dean. Tenderloins may give south Puts a run for their money. Tenderloins should go ahead and start prepping for South Puts. RP by however many they want. Little Rubbers @ Seegers Not much to stay. The rubbers win games they are supposed to. If they want to be competitive again, why are they playing South Newton and Tri County. Beef up the schedule to give you an actual chance of competing late into the season for a chance to contend for the conference. If they don’t, they will continue to get their fans hopes up by winning games they’re supposed to and then losing the important games. Give me the Patriots by 70 Little Ponies @ South Vermilions FC is playing well. SV is too young. FC 27-12 The Woofs @ North Vermilions Parke Heritage is coming off their biggest win in the Rector Era in my opinion. North Vermillion’s has talent, no question there. Unfortunately for them, the cards they were dealt didn’t play out well. I can see them make a strong push at the end here but I don’t think it’ll be enough to beat the Woofs who are playing the best football that they have seen in 4 years. Woofs 42-6

North Vermillion’s @ Attica Well this will be a fun one. Who has more athletes? I’ve not seen too much of Attica this year. Both teams should be looking to answer after both teams gave up 49 last week. I think it has the chance to be a higher scoring game with No defense but I don’t think that will be the case. I don’t think kickers are appreciated enough but Give me North Vermillion winning on a field goal from their 35 or closer 15-12 to give the falcons their first win on the 25 campaign. The Woofs @ The little rubbers I want to believe in the woofs here. I believe they’re on their way back up after a couple rough years. In a couple years I think we can see shades of the Johnson/Moore Era. The rubbers are doing alot of good things though. Kids are playing hard and want to be there. Coach Wheeler has started to revive the rubbers and I think the future is bright. I just believe their future is even brighter in Parke County. Give me the woofs to hand the rubbers their second loss of the season. 36-32 Seeger @ Fountain Central Best game of Week 6. I will continue to argue that the Horses are a good team who I thought would win the conference. Obviously that didn’t happen. Injuries are putting the horses down. Seeger surprised me this year. Didn’t think we would be in week 6 and they would be 4-1. I also didn’t think there point total would be 187pf to 69pa. Thought they would be playing closer games but they proved me wrong. Patriots are claiming second in conference this week. 42-18 South Vermilion @ The Tenderloins I hope the cats give a little fight. Nobody enjoys a massacre but that’s what’s going to happen. Maybe the cats start preparing for baseball early. Going to be a longer fall and winter than the cats are used to. Tenderloins is one of the best teams in the area. Tenderloins will only lose one game this year. RP by 70 maybe more

Attica @ Fountain Central Fountain Central I believe is a good team just riddled by injuries. Not even going to bring up the whole Herb King situation that the prince was arguing about. I think this game comes down to FC just having more athletes. FC wins 42-12 Tenderloins @ North Vermilions Last season when these 2 teams met, they were instant classics. One ending in overtime and one ending on a blocked field goal. This season it won’t be like that. Tenderloins have already secured the conference. Tenderloins will rush for however many yards and touchdowns they want. RP by 50+. Seegers @ The Woofs I have to give credit to the woofs. I had them as the worst team to start the season. Usually I would throw in a remark about getting ready for basketball season in Parke county but the woofs have come alive, do they return to where they were at with the Johnson brothers? Not sure but Coach Rector is building something. Seeger on the other hand is playing well too. I’ll mark this as the game of the week in my books. I think the Patriots put up a battle but I have the Woofs moving to 4-1 with their best start since the 21 season. Woofs 34 Seeger 28 South Vermilions @ The little rubbers Both teams here are feeling the effects of graduation. I’m not sure if this is going to be an offensive battle or a defensive battle, could be either. Neither team is good. I’ll take SV 20-12

Here we are, T-Minus 3 months from Kick off in the WRC. A lot of things have changed and alot of stayed the same. Transfers are moving due to the new transfer rule. Coaches are gone, coaches are back. I love WRC Football. conference lineup in my opinion. 1. Fountain Central, the pony’s didn’t graduate too many. They return the best QB in the conference and an all state LB. Dodson also was a mean runner in their offense. I think they will build off of what they started last season. How long does Herb stay? Not sure but he’s here this season. 2. Riverton Parke, they have a lot graduated but they also return a lot. Jett Lesniak is a player to watch in my opinion. I think he’ll turn heads, I’d like to see a race between him and North Vermillion’s Shawn Martin. They got a big lineman from SV this year and think they will be well off. That offense is a tough one to stop. 3-4. this is where it gets interesting for me. I think it could be a toss up. North Vermillion’s got Crabtree back along with Earl. They return corner stones on defense and will need some guys to step up offensively. Crabtree is a winner and I’m sure has them killing the workouts this spring and summer. Seeger also could slide here. Seeger was a strong running team last year. If they can get pieces put together they could be a force to be reckoned with. 5. I think Barrett’s departure is going to hurt the Wild kitties. They graduated so much last year. New HC will have work cut out. I think they will be interesting 6. who does Covington have? They graduated everyone except smith that I can recall. Cayenne Pepper is gone, moncrief is gone, Christoph is gone, Waddell is gone. I think they’ll pull some games out but not sure how many. 7. Call me crazy but I like what Dean is doing in Attica. I think they’ll finally get the long desired win that they’ve been longing for. I think Attica got the right guy in at the helm and I think they’ll play games closer 8. Parke Heritage, not too long ago they were contenders but that 70-0 murder they endured is hard to get past. Down year for the woofs. At least they still have basketball running strong

4 teams remain with 3 games. Game of the week has to be at the Roy. Liptons vs South Vermillion’s will be the best 2A game of the year. I think SV stays close but Lipton will pull away. Lipton 42 SV 36. South Putnams at the Rubber complex. SP is the best team in the sectional. Not even close with Covingtons only hope in Cayenne Pepper out. SP by however many they want. One of the best games in the conference happens in Vermillion county this week. Both teams have been playing well. RP keeps running the ball down opposing teams throats, for the falcons the pass game is hitting. Could be another OT thriller. I think NV still hangs on to win. NV 24 RP 18

What on Gods Green Earth is being smoked down in Southern Vermillion county? Like seriously? First you starts off Talking about how good Barrett and blank have been. SVs has always had a pretty good line. This years doesn’t stick out like years before to me. Barrett has done a great Job with the program. I’ve never heard a Line Coach getting so much attention and that’s crazy. Second off SV will not make it out of sectionals. I get you’re a wildcat lover but realistically. Linton will roll

2A 34 Seegers at Lewis Cass- Don’t know much here but basketball season is soon approaching . Lewis Cass 34-18 2A 39 North Poseys at The Visors-probably the game everyone’s been excited for. Does SV finally beat the allegations of not winning their first round game? No. Simple as that. Give me Posey 42-21 1A 45 Little Rubbers at Attica- Cayanne pepper not playing won’t make a difference. Mercy rule will be in play. Fountain Centrals at South Putnams- south Putnam might be the best team in the 1A south. FC has been good at times but I don’t think their time is Friday. South Putnams 48-20 The Woofs at Riverton Parkes shouldn’t be too much of a surprise. Riverton by however much they want. North Vermilions at North Centrals long trip for the falcons but they will get Riverton again at their place next week. NC 42- NC12

Attica at the rubber complex. Cayenne Pepper could go for a bunch this week. Rubbers by However many they want. Ponies at North Side. Botner is still leading as best back in my opinion. He will have another big game. 35-14 North Side The Woofs at Tenderloins. Woofs gave a little fight. Don’t think it’ll transfer to this week. Give me Tenderlions 43-12 Seegers at The Visors- Enough said. Visors continue rolling as they start to prepare for sectionals. 56-7
-
I believe we found something out this week. The visors are indeed conference champs(under their own stipulations). Anyways congrats to the visors for the title… word on the street is town wide pasta for everyone in Clinton from Gerries week 7 Visors at the ponies- Visors by running clock, enough said. Tenderloins at Attica, another running clock, enough said North side at woods. I said it once and I’ll say it again, good thing basketball seasons not too far. Run that clock Mel gibsons at the rubber complex. I think Seeger puts up a little fight but give me Covington by 3 scores
-
let’s talk about Andrew Botner. The Cayenne Pepper Andrew Botner debate has come to a close. Botner is red hot. He is taking the conference as the best back. Reminds me of that Earl Kid in 2014. Botner is hot and I’ll say it right to your face. He better be all conference and that is state law. He is the lead guy in the North Vermillion offense
-
Week 6 shouldn’t be much surprises this week. Attica travels to The Northside. Enough said. NV by a landslide Down in Mecca the Visors go to the Tenderloins. I like how RP held the ball most the game against north vermillion, maybe they use this tactic again but the visors offense will over power the Tenderloins. I guess we can say to get the parades started for another conference title running around Clinton. SV 42 RP 26 Ponies and Mel Gibsons up in Veedersburg. Seeger seems to be finding some kind of rhythm, not sure if it’s a good one or not. Give me the Ponies 35-21 Woofs at the Rubber Complex. At least basketball season is right around the corner . Rubbers get a win before taking on The Gibsons. Rubbers 35 Woofs 12. see yall next week
