Triton Central and Speedway will still have something to say about the ICC title before it's official, but the winner of this game certainly takes control.
Last year's game might have been the hardest hitting game of the year, regardless of class. Expecting Friday to be a slobberknocker as well.

Can any AC folks confirm if there will be a stream for this week's game? Berne Witness does not have it listed. Thanks.

I'm mostly exaggerating the details to promote discussion outside of AC/SA arguments. It would be great to hear from schools from the south. It seems like there are a few schools that could represent the north in LOS, but is there anyone who can legitimately challenge Lutheran in the south?
I'd like to hear more about Tri/North Decatur in sectional 46. Can ND consistently stop Tri's monster running back?

South Putnam.
No one has talked about South Putnam, but they might be the toughest out in the 1A south. The way the ping pong balls bounce, Lutheran/South Putnam might just be the first round game in sectional 47.

Did the running clock not start in the first half? It was my understanding that was a change from the original mercy rule.
2nd half only.

I just received an email that Brebeuf is looking for a game next Friday. Did Ritter cancel? What is going on?
Ritter doesn't have much depth. They lost a player to injury in week 1, and the starting RB went down in the 1st half on Friday. Their JV game with Lutheran last Monday was cancelled.

How did they even score 71 points with a running clock... did they have starters in the whole game? Think they would have the freshman in by then. I'd love to see that replay
JV began subbing in during the 2nd quarter and scored the last TD of the 1st half to make it 55-0. JV scored twice in the 2nd half, the last on a pick-six.
Unfortunately, no one was streaming the game.

I understand this is a 1a thread, but to make my point I am going to bring in some 2a examples: early week Coaches Polls mean absolutely zilch. There is no way Ritter or Paoli or North Davies should be receiving votes for their performances this year. That is a hold over from last year. Having seen how the polling system works, I put very little faith in the coaches poll anyway. As an example, a coach from southern Indiana has no hope of ever seeing a team from "the region" play unless they meet up in Lucas Oil. How can they possibly vote on such a team's ability? These votes rely highly on tradition and reputation and have very little validity.
I'll bite:
Since this is a 1A thread, where is the coaches poll flawed? Replace Covenant with Pioneer, and I think the coaches came remarkably close for an early season poll.

9 of last 13 1A state titles have gone to the Catholics. Catholics were runnerups in 2 of the 4 non PP title wins.
That is total and complete dominance, and most likely will continue given current trends.
There are no Catholic schools left in 1A.
Mission accomplished!

What a difference a year makes!
The spread wasn't much different before last year's game. We all know how that turned out.

PH wins and will unfortunately have to play the winner of Lutheran and Covenant Christian... If Lutheran and PH both win would that give the Wolves a home regional game?
Parke Heritage/Lutheran would be at Parke Heritage.
