Due to injury, Doyle played 2 HNAC games. He played 4 total games, including 2 IHSAA state tournament games.
I'm sure that it is up to each coach whether a player(s) should have been considered for All-Conference without an injury to prevent them from playing.
Not sure if the HNAC has a minimum games to play to be considered for all-conference consideration or not.
Above my pay grade.
as always, the game is better
from_the_sidelines007
Wasn't sure if there was minimum amount of games required. Know Knox QB had 13 or 14 td in just 5 games and played good in secondary for them and didn't even get a honorable mention which makes zero sense. Don't know if anyone noticed how bad Knox looked after he got hurt. They need to go to 1st and 2nd team all conference.

I would think that would be easiest award to give, the guy that has never lost a conference game should get the award until his team loses.
Common sense would be way too difficult for this conference.

Any reason HNAC doesn’t do a coach of the year anymore?
Probably same reason couldn't figure out who conference champ was. Too difficult.

Pioneer by 35 and judson with a 14-6 win.

#1 they didn't dodge knox. They had a positive covid test that forced them to cancel that game and the next
#2 see above
#3 a win is a win
#4 same as above
#5. Ill say the whole offense has regressed from last year but I think that's more due to a new offense and didn't have much of a spring/summer to improve to a new staff. I think the pass game will be much better next season.
#6 SN had to drop out due to positive tests... not our fault.
#7 I disliked the maroon platoon nickname.
#8 your opinion
#9 your opinion
#10 your opinion
Might be the most disappointing season I've seen.
Knox should have been 50x better then they
Agree. Here is Knox. #88 has pass hit him in hands gives no effort to catch ball then gets yet another 15 yard penalty after play talking crap. Probably 8th or 10th time it's happened this year. Do they pull him? Nope. And does anyone know why radtke wasn't there? Not like he knows any of kids names on his team but he was absent.
-
Knox looked atrocious like I thought they would. There is zero discipline with that team. Some how once again this year the coaches will vote #88 all conference again even though he puts no effort to playing. Knox for some reason decided to run between tackles thinking it was good idea even though by 6 mins into game could tell they were gonna be dominated inside. Every phase of game Knox got spanked.

How about the HNAC!
All eight teams pick up a victory.
So very happy for Coach Porter and the Caston Comets . . . nice work guys
And Triton, not expected to win . . . . got off to a good start and held off Churubusco. Kudos, gentlemen!
Knox, Pioneer, NJSP, and LaVille continue to a consistent 'Business As Usual' beat.
There is a reason they call it special teams. Just ask Winamac.
Friday, Oct. 23 Knox 56, Benton Central 22 LaVille 27, Cass 0 Pioneer 38, Delphi 8 Winamac 21, South Central 14 Culver 48, Lake Station 29 North Judson 54, West Central 0 Triton 24, Churubusco 14 Caston 34, North Miami 28 Now its time for sectional semifinals
Friday, Oct. 30 Calumet at Knox, 8 pm Pioneer at LaVille, 7:30 pm Culver at North Judson, 7:30 pm Triton at Adams Central, 7 pm Caston at Southwood, 7 pm Who are your winners in the IHSAA State Tournament Week #2?
I don't see a close game at all this week.
Calumet by least 21
Pioneer by 28
Judson by 35
Adam's Central by least 21
Southwood by 42.

Very interesting!! Does this keep Pioneer on their heels because of not knowing?? Do the Lancers take down the Panthers finally! Lewellen;s from what I have personly witnessed do not and i repeat do not like contact!!!! This folks is gonna be a ball game....
It will definitely be a ball game. Just not a close one. Pioneer is a FAR BETTER team than laville. Pioneer by 28 points or more.

I'm happy for those southwood kids. Watched them once this year and have hell of team but either health department or school dropped the ball on this one.

I’m sure they could forfeit and not play..

Awesome for southwood but wouldn't it had made more sense to test 1st then say you aren't playing? Little unfair to tell a team on a Tuesday that they have friday off then oops we can play tomorrow.

That spring option looking real good right now but you live and you learn
For the love of god THERE WAS NO SPRING OPTION!!!!! The ihsaa wasn't going to screw spring sports over again. How hard is that to figure out.

Honestly don’t remember what I said or when I said it. Why would I quit though? The next few years are going to be a lot of fun as a coach getting to see the next reload of Panthers.
We were supposed to be “down” after the seniors in 15 graduated. We were supposed to be “down” after Jack’s class graduated and still were able to run the table in conference.
Will we be a different team after this season? Absolutely we will, it would be ignorant to say otherwise. We’ll be losing a senior class that has been a part of 2 state championship teams. However, we always have guys step up and our staff will always have our kids prepared for whoever we’re playing.
I personally don’t coach to win conference titles or have “moral victories” like some of our friends in the HNAC. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by our recent success, but for me any goal less than a state title is settling.
I coach because I love this team and the tradition we have. We have great kids and a staff that is family. I’m gonna be here for a loooooooonnnnngggg time.
Never remember reading on here pioneer was going to have a down year.

Truth hurts buddy. You found out the hard way Friday.
Judson's a solid team with a really good head coach and solid talent in the 8th through 10th grades. You think they are decent now, wait till Harper and Allen are seniors mixed in with Benson who'll be a junior. They'll make this jays team look like West Central.
I saw LaVille and North Judson play this year. I thought Judson was the better team and in regards to Knox. Knox strength would be stopping the run and weakness is stopping the pass. North Judson's pass game is better than last year but it isn't as strong as their run game...so it was a good match up for Knox.. When it came to Knox/LaVille.. LaVille's strength was Knox's weakness and Czarnecki having a good night booting the ball made a huge difference and created a mismatch. I also think Rose going down killed them in that game too.
Not too often I agree with stat guy but he is on point. Knox lost rose who had combined 1000 yds rushing and passing thru 5 games and was playing well in secondary til he got hurt 2nd series of game vs laville. Knox fell apart after he went down. And just like I said last week before game Judson is a better team than laville. Really like their defense and run game.
-
I like Judson tonight especially if they can get any type of passing game going. Laville beat a Glenn and Knox team that the injury bug hit that week. I'm just not sold on laville yet.

There is no way Judson scores 20 points on LaVille, at least on offense. If they recover a fumble and return it 80 yards like Glenn did, then they might score in double digits but I just can’t see their offense scoring 2-3 times. LaVille is solid defensively as always, so unless you have a lethal passing game or your just special running the ball, it won’t happen. I think it ends up 20-7 LaVille.
If laville could only get 17 on Glenn how do think they will do vs Judson? Like judson in this.

lol, you crack me up. Big plays by Pioneer?
A ton of big plays by pioneer. It was much worse than the 38-20 score shows. The offense was brutal. And to say brutal is actually a understatement. It was like watching a slow version of Culver. Defense played well in 2nd half but game was over. The one thing I really didn't like was Knox's leading rusher #3 wagner was on sideline 50% of time maybe more.

Naaa, 14-7 Glenn @ half with a back up QB.
Impressive. Didn't know you got a trophy for leading at the half.

No faith in your team? Or is there some internal turmoil in Redskin
Still mad at the beatdown Knox put on at Glenn? I mean it was close for 4 minutes. I think defense will play much better than last week. Will be a game where points are hard to come by.

I get the injury bug... Winamac had 7 kids miss 35 1/2 games combined last year.
Hopefully rose is ok.
Heard McIntire quit too.
Didnt hear about that either. Too bad. Kid could be pretty good.

It was most definitely a disappointment but covid and injuries played huge part in it.
