yes. That's what the PAC did. Tell City and Heritage Hills are in separate divisions but still play each other as one of their non-conference games. So Brownstown's schedule could be North Harrison, Salem, Corydon, Charlestown, Scottsburg as your conference games. Seymour, Silver Creek and 2 others of your choosing as non-conference games.
I still want SC in the conference. But I'm coming around to your overall idea.

How would you lose Seymour with 4 non-conference games?
Then why would we have a big and small division? Just to free things up?

There's not much discussion on this thread so I'll whip out a favorite off-season topic.
I think it's time to break up the PLAC and adjust some other conferences in the area.
Silver Creek-Moves to the Hoosier Hills Conference. More fitting of a school their size and caliber.
MSC-takes a cue from the PAC and forms a Big/Small Division.
Big Division: Brownstown, North Harrison, Salem, Corydon, Charlestown, Scottsburg
Small Division: Clarksville, East Washington, West Washington, Paoli, Mitchell, Crawford County
Perry Central joins the PAC Small Division
Springs Valley joins the Southwest Conference along with Tecumseh.
No. We want SC in our conference, and BC wants Seymour on our schedule.
No chance we lose an atmosphere like last week.

Silver Creek told us they did not have enough kids to play a JV game
😳😳😳 maybe some were quarantined?

I hope WW gets turf in the future. These fields look sweet!!
Ohhh that red and blue would look sharp on a turf field. Surely Salem is about to pop and get it.

And herein lies the issue Impartial_Observer, et al have with you. You make a statement, then when called upon it, walk it back. It was a shot. A direct one. It's completely unnecessary and does no good. Do you not think that program wants to be better and do well for its community? Of course it does. Not everyone can win. When you have a near full conference slate, someone will be at the bottom of it. Always. Since they will be an independent in the future, they will have some more opportunities than they have previously.
It was also absurd to ask if their performance mattered or not

Frankton-Lapel Schools getting Turf.
Lapel will be playing on the Turf in 2020. they are about done.
Frankton will be moving there field back to the HS and building a new complex. Turf, Locker rooms, concessions, RR and Ticket booth all in one building. Schedule to play on it in 2021. Moving dirt now.
Yep. My gf lives in Lapel.. looks nice. I will add Frankton for 2021. Thanks man.

It was a good physical JV football game. Our kids had fun and the sportsmanship shown between the players was great. It was a longer bus ride than normal for a JV game, but the kids were just thrilled to play.
Dang.. lucky you lol 6 of our 9 bus rides are 50 mins or longer.

Yea, great dude! Outside of that first drive when Paoli had a nice play that Corydon played wrong the defense looked incredible. That Paoli score was followed by 2 Corydon fumbles then, everything clicked.
Im not saying CC would have beat Brownstown but it’s really unfortunate that we didn’t have that measuring stick. But that’s in the past. It’s Cougar week!! 😉
No kids should be missing out on games. What was the JV score?

Conference affiliation and alignment affects football the most. In an 8-team conference, with a 9-game season, playing a round robin schedule, conference games take up over 75% of the season.
And?

I misunderstood what you were saying. The conference is actually pretty solid in other sports. I don’t disagree with you about the need to change the conference or increase size. I like the non conference early schedule and the rivalry with North
I'm saying I don't see the need to change, just so we're on the same page.. And yes the conference is solid in other sports. Conference is really competitive in basically everything else.

Been a top 5 baseball team 3 of last 5 years. State Runner up in 2019. Would have been Top 5 again in 2020. Now having said that, they won’t be as strong in 2021 but Columbus North will be strong again. North has been top 10 program over the same period.
That doesn't change what I said? Baseballs been good recently, yes. So has wrestling.
I'm not trying to downplay CE at all.

Why?
Literally the only sport CE dominates is football. They are all the same size. CE isn't even the top of the food chain socioeconomic wise. I don't understand why they need to go to another conference because of one sport?

Per capita , I would would put Ohio #1 .
I get what you're saying but Cali, FL, and TX are still the big boys. GA and OH right there next.

After some internet stalking....or uh...digging its Matthew Devine. Sr. List himself as 6' 220. Last offer was July 20th from Dayton per his active Twitter. So under the radar currently. Maybe last night will lead to more offers.
I was ultra impressed.

And this is why the conference should stay at 7 members- East can finally beef up its schedule.
I disagree

Anderson should drop its football program
in The Indiana High School Football Forum

It's amazing it's 2020 and some cannot still grasp that winning isn't everything.
Football doesn't need Anderson, but son of a gun Anderson needs football. Telling me with a straight and honest face the students at Anderson would be better off without football? What planet are you from? That doesn't even add up, even in the least bit. You have no clue what you are talking about.
