Well then lets get this thread going...Coaches/fans if you need a tissue their in aisle 13 at Walmart

Some forum members are terribly disappointed these games are still scheduled. These people wish all schools were closed and cheer for maximum death and misery. They hope some medications fail. They want the economy in turmoil. Any perceived bad news is good news to them. Threads are eagerly started when any cancellation occurs.

I’m still a little shocked at the chain of events: the Pandemic hits and the world basically ends.  We social distance/wear masks/make human sacrifices in addition to canceling all sporting events and shut down our productive economy.  Things gradually improve and the rules are abated and we get to where are now.

    What’s next?

Fifteen days to flatten the curve.

Again you are a part of the problem.  That is why we are in the situation we are in.  The selfishness of some people are why we can't get a handle on this.

The company is a huge corporation with annual revenue of 76B. Obviously the union lawyers know their legal rights and the union has drawn a line in the sand. The company lawyers appear apprehensive to cross that line due to fear of losing an arbitration hearing or court case.

Call OSHA, here in Nevada they go to every business checking making sure people are masked up.

I'm confident the union legal counsel has advised the union of their rights prior to them supporting the workers refusal to wear masks or social distance.

The union supports their workforce. Perhaps the company should call the mayor of Indianapolis Boss Hogg and have him direct the police department to enforce the mandatory mask policy. Unions receive legal counsel from high powered lawyers.

Yes, lets continue to cancel every damn thing in life.

Its fine to play a week later against another team.  But not a week earlier in a scrimmage.

The incredible weakness of this country is staggering right now.

Perhaps America should shut down everything until the new vaccines of which all American pharmaceutical manufacturers will be exempt from any legal liability cure the coronavirus. The coronavirus is just too dangerous. Everyone should shelter in place while wearing their surgical masks.  Shut down all food processing and restaurants, gas stations, banks, all utilities, all manufacturing and service industries. Urban dwellers will not even be able to flush their toilet without water.

  7. Perhaps Hogsett will come to the manufacturing plant where I work and have the police enforce the mandatory mask and social distance policy on 800 - 900 union workers who refuse to wear masks or social distance. The workers and the union have already told the company to go piss up a rope. They will tell Hogsett or any police officer the same.

Our plant had 5 people test positive for the coronavirus about 11 weeks ago. We have had no one test positive since.

Good grief. Engage in realism much?

It's called reading the room, or even common sense, if you will. I've had conversations with football coaches, players, parents, teachers, and social workers. Many are very concerned about the repercussions of taking the season away. Yeah, maybe they "can" go get jobs or focus on their education, and some will. I know some kids personally that will have no problem transitioning from sports to working/improving grades. But let's be REALISTIC here. What percent of student athletes that lose their season do you realistically think are going to get this sudden motivation or inspiration to go get a job or study more to get better grades? Based on the sample size of who I have talked to, I would say maybe 10% to be generous. We haven't even considered the kids who go to school/try to be eligible just because of football. Majority of kids will not naturally or wisely replace that motivation. It is not hyperbole when these are real, impending issues we have to consider.

I am a supporter of an inner city Indianapolis Public School. Parental guidance is the primary weakness with these kids. Without sports these youths will run the streets.

The top lawyer of all time has said the government can mandate a vaccine which is good news for all

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9rNTqCD3N-4

All pharmaceutical manufacturers will be exempt from any COVID-19 vaccine liability claims. A recent CBS poll stated 70% of Americans will wait to receive a new vaccine or will not receive one at all. The government will have a serious challenge attempting to enforce a mandatory vaccine on 231 million Americans who do not trust the safety of a new vaccine where the manufacturers have been granted immunity from any liability.

  11. Two seperate longtime forum members on Harrell's website said they were in line to receive a coronavirus test and completed the paperwork but left without ever taking the test due to long wait times. Both said they received notification that they tested positive for the coronavirus.

It is interesting how our plant never shut down. We have been working 6-7 days per week since the coronavirus outbreak and 800 - 900 union workers refuse to wear masks or social distance. A total of 5 people have tested positive for the coronavirus yet we have had no further spread in the past 10 weeks. I have no doubt the coronavirus is real but have serious doubts about the numbers being reported by the mainstream media.
