  1. Couldn’t tell the #, but Memorial picks off Harrison after 5 minute drive 7-0 Memorial 4:03 1Q
  2. 3 straight 1st downs for Harrison
  3. I’m ready for this 70 degree weather next week 7-0 Memorial 8:40 1Q I believe Horning had 3 straight carries to the EZ
  4. Early timeout on the field for Harrison’s punting team, it appeared they were missing a player or 2
  5. Potential flip? Unless he gets more offers elsewhere.
  6. Picks Lincoln at Castle Lincoln is coming off a 40-7 win over Central and Castle might have found their offense so far in the season. Could be an interesting game, but I think Castle will pull this away in the 2H. Give me the Knights by 3 scores. North at Bosse North has still not break the 20 point mark so far this season, with their most point total at 14 points against Memorial. And while I thought they were score a lot in their Harrison game, the Huskies put up 13 points. Bosse has been giving up roughly 38 PPG. I’ll take the Huskies by 4 scores in this one. Memorial at Harrison The Tigers are coming off a massive win against Mater Dei last week to continue their winning streak in the conference. And having one of the most dynamic offenses in the conference. Harrison had a pair of game games that did not go their way, and their offense has stalled. I’ll take the Tigers in a running clock. Central at Reitz Reitz is coming off a nice victory over the Huskies, however, got hit with some injuries during the game. But the Panthers offense has gotten it going being a slight leader in OYPG. Central, while improved, has faced 3 losses by 28+ points. I think Reitz will just run the ball the for the entire game, give me the Panthers in a running clock. Game of the Week Mater Dei is coming off a tough loss against Memorial, as the Tigers controlled the game and scored on 6 possessions. Although, Mater Dei did have some bright flashes too, scoring on 3 of their first 5 possessions (2 FGs + a TD). Jasper has found some type of rhythm these past 2 weeks also, blowing out Bosse last week and keeping it close with Reitz. Defending the pass will be key for Jasper, as they have struggled so far. I’ll take the MD Cats by 10.
  7. They will post their recordings on YouTube, usually the day after.

  9. Just saw that USC offered him tonight
  10. Conference Standings: 1. Memorial 4-0 (-) 2. Reitz 4-0 (-) 3. Mater Dei 3-1 (1) 4. Castle 3-1 (1) 5. Lincoln 2-2 (2) 6. Jasper 2-2 (2) 7. North 1-3 (3) 8. Central 1-3 (3) 9. Harrison 0-4 (4) 10. Bosse 0-4 (4) As of now, there is still a crazy scenario in which there could be a 10-way tie for 1st place.
  11. I believe teams had to qualify for the tournament back in the 70’s and only 12 teams could qualify in their division
  12. Following up on this, I did create a simple format with the elimination option for the SIAC race. As of now, all teams are mathematically still in the race, however, Bosse and Harrison will be facing elimination from the race if they lose. I’m still working on the tweaks of it, I’ll upload a picture in the morning. I did ad the magic number to the model, but I have no idea if I did it correctly. So far it is nothing fancy like the NFL seeding scenario, which I’m trying to find a simple solution for that.
  13. Currently messing around with conference title chances and what not. Will be interesting to see what I come up with.
  14. Can North finally break over 20 points this week? Thought they would against Harrison, but they didn’t happened since North beat them 13-3.
  15. Actually, I meant to put MD over Castle due to the H2H. MD ran into a buzzsaw last week and we will see how Castle fares against Lincoln on Friday. Next Friday is when we should really see the rankings shake up. The Bowl will definitely be packed for the Castle at Reitz game.
  16. Power Rankings 1. Memorial 2. Reitz 3. Castle 4. Mater Dei 5. Jasper 6. North 7. Lincoln 8. Central 9. Harrison 10. Bosse
  17. USA Today Poll Week 5: 5A: 11. Castle 4A: 2. Reitz (1) 3A: 1. Memorial (17) 10. Mater Dei
  18. MasseyRatings: Mater Dei at Jasper (-5), 57% chance of winning for the J Cats Lincoln at Castle (-26), 90% chance of winning for the Knights North (-33) at Bosse, 97% chance of winning for the Huskies Memorial (-35) at Harrison, 99% chance of winning for the Tigers Central at Reitz (-40), 100% chance of winning for the Panthers
  19. Just saw North’s Brasher just committed to ISU for football
  20. What we learned from Week 4 - Memorial dominates Mater Dei from start to finish by scoring on 6 possessions and the defense limited MD’s offense. The Tigers are looking dangerous in the SIAC with their offense and defense. Mater Dei took one in the mouth on Friday and couldn’t get it going against the Tigers. However, a rematch between these 2 teams may happen in the near future. - Jasper has started to looked a bit better these last couple of games, as the Wildcats force a running clock and get their first shut out of the season. Bosse hasn’t look too particularly good, as the struggles continue for the Bulldogs. - Reitz is 4-0 on the season and is eyeing to stay undefeated, the Panthers beat North by 16, although they suffered a couple of injuries. Big game against Castle is right around the corner for the Panthers. North’s Defense managed to stop Reitz’s running attack, however, the Huskies struggled to score offensively for the 4th straight game. - Castle is starting to find their offensive rhythm the last couple of games, as the Knights force another running clock against Harrison. Intriguing matchup coming up against Lincoln and then Reitz the following week. Harrison’s offense has stalled, after scoring 60 total points in their first 2 games, the Warriors have only scored 10 points. - Lincoln is back in the win column after running all over Central on Friday with almost 300 rushing yards and forced a running clock. The Bears didn’t do much against Lincoln and had a little over 100 total yards in the game.
  21. Calpreps: Mater Dei (-11) at Jasper, 75% chance of winning for the MD Wildcats Lincoln at Castle (-11), 75% chance of winning for the Knights North (-38) at Bosse, >99% chance of winning for the Huskies Memorial (-40) at Harrison, >99% chance of winning for the Tigers Central at Reitz (-40), >99% chance of winning for the Panthers
  22. Noticed that too, big hit for Harrison depending on his status.
  23. JH Opening Lines: Mater Dei (-7) at Jasper Lincoln at Castle (-10) North (-25) at Bosse Memorial (-25) at Harrison Central at Reitz (-28)
  24. Week 4 Finals 41-13 Memorial over Mater Dei 28-12 Reitz over North 42-7 Castle over Harrison 41-0 Jasper over Bosse 40-7 Lincoln over Central
  25. He may had 2 or 3 incompletions, but definitely over 300 passing yards. Also, his run game has improved significantly compared to last year. The whole team looked very good on all fronts, glad we got some starters back.
