Picks Bosse/Memorial - Bosse has a new QB that has averaged 240 passing yards in 2 starts. But give me the Tigers in a running clock this morning. Jasper/Central- Jasper took a beating last week against Mater Dei, might be a long afternoon for the Bears. Jasper in a running clock. Harrison/Lincoln- Harrison has struggled this season so far stopping the run, and it appears there is a new QB under center for Lincoln. A lot of running in this one, give me the Alices by 3 scores. Mater Dei/North- Extremely interested in this matchup, Mater Dei has been exceeding expectations this season being 4-1. North, on the other hand, has been up and down all season. This game feels like it will be a defensive struggle. I’ll take the Wildcats by 7 points in a low scoring game. Game of the Week Castle/Reitz- Castle is clicking on all cylinders the last couple of games averaging 40+ or more points in 3 games after a slow start. As their run game has seen massive improvement so far. On top of that with a pair of D1 defensive players and being one of the top rushing defenses in the conference. Reitz has been looking good this season being 5-0 and battle tested, although QB issues have been a problem, the Panthers run game has not been. Reitz has been averaging close to 270 YPG with multiple games with 300+ yards and a plethora of backs. On top of that, their defense is slightly the #1 in yards allowed in the conference, thanks to a strong defensive front. Multiple things are on the table this afternoon, as Castle needs a win to stay somewhat in distance for the SIAC. And Reitz continuing their dominance in the SIAC and heading into a collision course with Memorial next week. I think I’ll be picking Castle by 3 points, although this game can go both ways.
