  1. A recap from the article, Sutton is hoping to see some improvement for Harrison, since the offense returns 7 starters and hopes to get a couple more wins. This is also his first year with a 5th/6th grade football team. Looks like Knapp is replacing Brown as QB this season, however, Sutton mentioned they are facing challenges. It appears that their 6’8 TE did something to his knee before the start of summer practices and is likely out for the season. But Sutton does like his senior class and the receiving corps.
  2. C&P Castle Preview ($$):
  3. Looks like the offense is switching over to a Wing T formation according to Oldtime
  4. Oh wow, Wing T is one of my favorite formations, will it be the primary offense or switching between different formations?
  5. Did I miss anything important?
  6. C&P Harrison Preview ($$): https://subscribe.courierpress.com/restricted?return=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.courierpress.com%2Fstory%2Fsports%2Fhigh-school%2F2024%2F07%2F30%2Fihsaa-football-harrison-warriors-season-preview-2024%2F74513408007%2F&gps-source=CPROADBLOCKDH&gca-cat=p&gnt-eid=control
  7. Got a replay of the Memorial preview? I had the dates mixed up
  8. And just like that intersquad scrimmages begin next Friday followed up by the preseason team scrimmages on the 16th
  9. New stats being added: Offensive Yards per Play Opponent Yards per Play I did think of doing total offense seconds per play, but we will see on that one
  10. C&P will be posting their previews starting next week. My Stats excel sheet is about ready to go for the season with new stats being included. I will also do opponent stats again for this upcoming postseason like I did last year.
  11. HTF Preview: Castle https://www.tristatehomepage.com/sports/local-sports/htf-preview-castle-aims-to-have-defense-take-the-next-step/
  12. 14News: Bosse Preview https://www.14news.com/2024/07/24/bosse-bulldogs-hope-continue-electric-offense-with-new-qb-this-season/
  13. I agree, but it’s going to be tough replacing some studs on their Offense (Believe they return 4-5 starters) and replacing one of the strongest Defensive lines in the area last year. But I’m going to be intrigued on how Reitz will progress throughout the season, lots of potential for the Panthers. Current top 4 with the way I see it: 1. Castle 2. Memorial 3. Jasper 4. Reitz Reitz and Jasper can be interchangeable, but the Wildcats do a take a slight advantage with returning starters and it’s because it’s Jasper. The season is literally just weeks away and I know for a fact my predictions will probably blow up in my face lol. The final Preseason Rankings will be interesting when they come out, I do think Castle has an argument for preseason #1, since they return around 16 starters from last season.
  14. Local previews should be popping any day now, saw 14news started their previews yesterday
  15. With the first games just weeks away now, here are MasseyRating’s Week 1 lines: Memorial (-1) at Jasper, 51% chance of victory for the Tigers Harrison at Reitz (-37), 99% chance of victory for the Panthers Castle at North (-6), 57% chance of victory for the Huskies VL (-10) at Bosse, 75% chance of victory for the Alices MD (-29) at Central, 94% chance of victory for the Cats
  16. IFD’s Dandy Dozen: 5A: 5. Castle 4A: 6. Reitz 3A: 4. Memorial
  17. I’m trying to figure out where the other teams are ranked also
  18. I saw Memorial was ranked #4 in 3A for the IFD Dandy Dozen
  19. I think Memorial had a 7v7 matchup recently, but I’m not too sure about that. It might be coming up actually.
  20. Sectional 32 is going to be fun this year, I think a lot of people are anticipating an GS-Memorial first round matchup like always! It always seems like GS reloads every year especially when then they lose valuable players. Can’t wait to see how GS progresses throughout the season along with Heritage Hills.
  21. It sounded like Castle will have a QB battle this offseason, so that is something to look out for. But overall, Castle, on paper at least, appears to be the SIAC preseason favorite. They just return a plethora of talent on both sides of the ball. Memorial will be also be good in my opinion, should be a little interesting on the OL/DL, but it sounded like there were a lot of interchangeable players. How did the Titans look on Offense? I know they lost some studs from graduation.
