  1. We haven’t looked the greatest right now, hopefully we can get a score soon
  2. No play by play action from me tonight! I will try and occasionally post score updates
  3. Should be a pretty good crowd! Hopefully it’s like 2017 again having 8,000-10,000 people showing up
  4. AP Poll Week 7: 5A: 12. North 4A: 2. Reitz (1) 3. Memorial 17. Jasper 3A: 11. VL
  5. Week 7 picks! Harrison at Central While there will be a battle of unbeaten off of the Lloyd, I guess you can consider this as the Battle of Beatens? Both teams come into game winless and inched for their first win of the season. Harrison has seen some improvement the last couple of games and could move down field. Central finally cross 10+ points threshold last week against Jasper. But I think I’m going to pick the Warriors by 7 in this matchup. MD at Bosse This has been down year for MD, although there has been a couple of games that could have gone their way this season. Bosse on the other hand, while they are 1-5, has one of the best offensives in the SIAC with an explosive player in Wagner. It will be interesting to see if MD can slow down the Dawgs tomorrow, but I think Bosse will get its first win over Mater Dei in 30 years. Give me Bosse by 10. Castle at Jasper Castle has fallen in a slump the last 2 weeks losing to VL and letting the Reitz game slip away (Reitz went on a 31-0 scoring run after Castle led 17-7). But I wouldn’t count out the Knights at all, Jasper seems like they have figured themselves now, going on a 3 game winning streak and improving in different areas. There is going to be lots of running on Jasper’s part tomorrow, can the Knights stop them? I can see a close game, but give me Jasper by 3. VL at North VL is having their best season since joining the SIAC at 5-1, however, has lost Hunt for the rest of the regular season. But the run game still looks strong under McCrary and QB Lindsey did show glimpses in his passing game. North seems like they have slowly figured out some things too regarding their defense holding Bosse to 16 and keeping MD to 0 points. This should be an exciting matchup on US-41. I’ll take the Huskies by 9. Game of Week Memorial at Reitz The Battle of Unbeatens in the SIAC, as Memorial is 6-0 for the first time since 2019. However the Tigers did take a massive hit losing QB1 and RB1 after the MD game. However, the Tigers have battling the last 2 weeks dealing with those injuries and remained unblemished in their record. As they have one of the best defenses in the conference/4A. But their biggest opponent looms tomorrow against the defending SIAC and undefeated Reitz Panthers. Who has the #2 offense and #1 defense in the Conference and one of the best in 4A. As Panthers are looking to redeem themselves after last years lost to Boonville and trying to run it back with the SIAC Title + more. If both teams were healthy, this could been an intriguing matchup, but it can still be with both defenses and a little bit of luck. I picked Memorial last year and they lost, as Reitz took that matchup 27-18. Reverse psychology maybe? But, I think the Panthers will take this one by 17 (24-7 final score).
  6. Surprisingly, Jasper’s passing game has seen a weekly increase. Jasper winning the Super Bowl confirmed.
  7. Looking ahead to playoffs, I plan on doing team stats for opposing teams vs a SIAC team, it will look similar to what I have been posting the last few weeks. But it will be a normal Team vs Team preview format.
  8. Week 7 Power rankings! 1. Reitz- Looks Reitz has finally figured out some offensive 2H problems right on time before the huge Memorial game on Friday 2. Memorial- Still figuring the offense after losing QB1 and RB1, but the Tigers are fighting through it. Big challenge against Reitz coming up 3. VL- Losing QB1 for a few weeks is definitely a big hit for a rising Alices team, but the running game looks strong. Big test coming up against North 4. Jasper- After a 1-2 start, the Wildcats are becoming a solid team at the right time. Can the Cats get their 4th straight win against Castle? 5. North- Close to Jasper, North seems like a team that is shaping up and could get to their best regular season in a long time. Has a very big home against the Alices. 6. Castle- After starting 3-1 to the season, the Knights have fallen to 3-3 after losing to Reitz. Still wouldn’t count them out for a late regular season run, but they definitely need to work on the defense. 7. Bosse- The best 1-5 team right now as Bosse can score pretty quick with their players. Saw a lot of improvement and almost won against Memorial, but lots to do for the Dawgs, great opportunity for a bounce back against MD. 8. Mater Dei- Tough season for Cats after winning the state championship last season. A couple of games could have gone their way to the Cats, can they turn it around? Big game against Bosse in Enlow. 9. Harrison- Can the Warriors get their first win this Friday? Battle for the first win against Central 10. Central- Just like Harrison, big game against them this weekend

  10. I will post team stats later!
  11. Reitz is going to be challenge this Friday, seems like no one has been able to stop them yet. Castle had some success early on, but it looked like Reitz wore them down and held them to like 10 yards the entire 2H. VL game next week should be interesting with the recent developments with their QB and the Castle game is always an intriguing game (so far no rain is forecasted). But these next 3 weeks are going to be a battle for the Tigers!
  12. IFCA Poll Week 7 5A: 12. North 4A: 2. Reitz 3. Memorial 3A. 10. VL 2A: 13. MD
  13. Although I’m not too close anymore, I’ve heard mixed things regarding QB1 and RB1 status is unknown. Would like to point out that it will be intriguing test for Memorial’s DL against a big/experienced Reitz OL.
  14. Our offense lost the starting QB and RB after the Mater Dei game, so there has been questions on the offense (Not a terrible start so far with QB2 and RB2). And of course a pretty young OL against one of the best DL in 4A. Unless more injuries popped after the Bosse game, but I didn’t see anything too particularly bad injury wise. Reitz has definitely figured some of their early mishaps now, you have to score points and play defense if you want to beat them.
  15. Hopefully not, but wished Memorial was fully healthy for this week
  16. Massey Ratings: Memorial at Reitz (-14), 79% chance of winning for the Panthers Castle (-1) at Jasper, 51% chance of winning for the Knights Harrison (-5) at Central, 56% chance of winning for the Warriors VL at North (-14), 77% chance of winning for the Huskies MD (-21) at Bosse, 78% chance of winning for the Cats
  17. GID Predictor: Memorial at Reitz (-16.5), 77.91% chance of winning for the Panthers Harrison (-7.5) at Central, 63.58% chance of winning for the Warriors MD at Bosse (-9), 66.72% chance of winning for the Dawgs Castle (-2) at Jasper, 54.17% chance of winning for the Knights VL at North (-5), 59.64% chance of winning for the Huskies
  18. Calpreps: Harrison (-6) at Central, 62% chance of winning for the Warriors MD at Bosse (-7), 65% chance of winning for the Dawgs Memorial at Reitz (-10), 70% chance of winning for the Panthers Castle (-3) at Jasper, 58% chance of winning for the Knights VL at North (-1), 53% chance of winning for the Huskies Going to be a fun week in the SIAC!
  19. They certainly did not play like a 4 loss team last night. Lots of hard working players on that Bosse squad
  20. JH Lines: Harrison (-3) at Central MD at Bosse (-7) Memorial at Reitz (-14) Castle (-3) at Jasper VL at North (-4)
  21. Great news to hear, did he do something to his Knee last week?
  22. Good game @Dawgs, Wagner is one heck of a player and I hope he continues his career after HS!
  23. Sounded like the Memorial game, they had the chance to go 31-14, but fumbled the ball around the 25 causing Bosse to pick up and run to mid. There was definitely about 3-6 plays tonight to where Memorial would have had a decent lead or Bosse getting a huge upset (That last minute of the game was unbelievable).
  24. I wasn’t fully tune into the game, saw HH was down by 10 and scored with a minute left. Did GS smothered them down early on?
