Temperature for Week 2 Games
TigerFan20 replied to CheapSeats's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I think we will be looking at Saturday games soon, it’s going to be miserable Friday night in the area -

-
Pretty big loss if that is true
-

TF20’s Week 1 Power Rankings: 1. Reitz- #1 until someone dethrones them 2. VL- Big tests coming up for the Alices, still pretty high with him especially with Hunt 3. North- Big in the trenches and a very nice RB duo 4. Memorial- lots of skill players, let the trenches mold 5. Castle- just 35 seconds away from victory against a good North team 6. Jasper- Fix up the mental mistakes and this Jasper squad could finish in the Top 3 6. Mater Dei- Good showing from a new MD offense, but a tough 5-game stretch coming up 8. Bosse- There is scoring potential in Bosse, but a long stretch is heading their way 9. Central- Cano/Clark duo looks decent, but lots of work to do, scoring 12 points is a step closer (23 all of last year) 10. Harrison- Sounds like it was a rough night for the Warriors 2-7 is still pretty tough, I think the Top 4 seems to be solid? Castle/Jasper/Mater Dei is still hard to choose. Castle nearly had a win over North, Jasper kept it fairly competitive against Memorial (even with Jasper’s mistakes), and MD beat a rebuilding Central team. We will know a lot more between a lot of these teams in the next 2-4 weeks. This should cause a good discussion for the week!

He doesn’t pop up on the Ball State roster

Team stat updates will be posted after Week 2 games

I meant 10 penalties, but they did have a lot of false starts/offsides
-
JH lines: Bosse at Central (-1) Mater Dei at Castle (-3) North at Memorial (-7) Jasper (-21) at Harrison VL at Reitz (-35) 😳

What we learned from Week 1: Not surprised by many, but the Panthers had an offensive showing all in the first half scoring 45 points. While the defense was stout again allowing no points in the game and holding Harrison to only 20 total yards on offense. Hearing Harrison is pretty low on numbers and very young. Huge matchup in Week 2 as an intriguing VL team travels down to the Reitz Bowl in a heavyweight matchup. Harrison will try and bounce back against Jasper at home, who they beat last year. All the way up in Inman Field, the Alices put up 42 points against Bosse. With QB Hunt having himself at night in the passing game throwing for 3 TDs. And the defense only allowing 8 points in the 1H. Although the game was in running clock, Bosse did break the 30 point threshold in the 2H, scoring 22 points. But the Alices sounded like they controlled this one from start to finish. Going to be a fun matchup in the Reitz Bowl next week! Bosse will travel to Central in hopes to bounce back and get their first win of the season. New look, new names, same Mater Dei, as they beat Central 35-12 in their season opener as the defending 2A State Champions. I did not follow this game too closely, but it did look Central made it look interesting in the 2H. I hope the Central player that got injured is doing ok, since they apparently delayed the game after it. Mater Dei will head to a huge matchup against Castle in Paradise. The Bears will stay at home and try to get a win over Bosse. Memorial finally gets its first one over Jasper in the regular season since 2019. As the Tigers beat the Cats, 30-13 in a very interesting game. Tigers played well enough to keep on their double digit lead and did a lot better than expected due to some concerns. Jasper also played good enough to try and keep it close, but 10 false start penalties and costly errors do not help. We all know these 2 teams will be different in Week 9. Memorial will stay in Enlow Field (5 out of 6 weeks), in a massive showdown against North. While Jasper aims for a bounce back against Harrison. Heard this one was a very electric game as North went to a 13-0 lead in the 1H. However, Castle scored late in the 2Q to make it 13-7 at half. Then took the lead sometime in the 3rd quarter by 1 point. But a 7 minute drive in the 4th Quarter sealed the deal for the Huskies as they marched down the field on a 80 yard drive to win it 21-14. Hopefully one of the local channels was streaming this games, since it was back and forth. While North had a statistical advantage over Castle, the Knights were never out of it. North will travel to Memorial in hopes to make it 2nd straight against the Tigers. Castle stays at home against Mater Dei in a classic.

I thought OL did a decent job tonight, rushing wise, needs some work on. But that makes since with 3 new starters. DL surprised me a bit too, holding Jasper to unofficially ~140 rushing yards, but Jasper was having their way too on the lines. But, I’m glad the score was in our favor tonight. Enormous test next week, as North may have the biggest OL/DL in the SIAC this season.

Week 1 Finals 49-30 VL over Bosse 21-14 North over Castle 45-0 Reitz over Harrison 30-13 Memorial over Jasper 35-12 Mater Dei over Central
-
Looks like this one is about over 35-12 Mater Dei with some time left
-
Looks like the MD-Central was delayed for a bit due to an injured player, judging by MaxPreps
-
Lots of offense from the Alices in that game from sounds of it. How did Hunt look tonight?
-
If I’m reading this correctly, but there is apparently 10 minutes left in the 4Q for the MD-Central game MD up 28-12
-
Ball picked, Huskies win it 21-14
-
Wow looks like Bosse had a last half push! I saw they were down 42-8, but Vincennes wins it 49-30 TD North 21-14 North with 36 seconds left North went 80 yards on that 7 minute drive
