In this analogy, your dad isn’t paying for it.  You are, your siblings are, everybody else at the table, etc.  Your dad just collects your money, uses it to buy groceries and pay a cook.

Governments (dad) literally have no money except that which they take from their people (those of you needing dinner).

He had all the money. And none of us wanted Gouda when Government Cheese was readily available.

Me, the non-entitled, non E-light taxpayer.

Maybe the worst analogy ever … since education is a fundamental right under the Indiana Constitution and, to my knowledge, golf isn’t.

Dinner was fundamentally guaranteed at my Dad's house. You either ate what was provided, starved, or paid for your own somewhere else.

If they don't like the educational fundamental right the State provides, same rules should apply.

I'm not an administrator so it's not my judgment call. I do consider this a fan forum though. The coaches have their own exclusive forum and very rarely do I ever see a current player posting on here. So in my opinion, I don't see it as inappropriate. I think you also have to the look at the source. Many of this poster's threads are created for entertainment purposes only, not to be taken literal.

So Rodney also needs a subforum of his own as well? It's possible to create a private club on here, where only the members can see it. Is this what you would suggest?

What more do you want for Mr. Doyel?

I don't think he'll ever live this down, so that's enough for me. I have no control over what other entities might do, such as his employer or the Indiana Fever.

Honestly it wouldn't bother me if the entire Indystar empire ceased to exist. It was the most toxic work environment I've ever seen.

Mr. Doyel will probably be suspended or even fired by the woke Indy Star for this faux pas.

He also apologized in his latest column, but I guess those are not good enough anymore.  Woke American society demands it's pound of flesh for any transgression:     https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/columnists/gregg-doyel/2024/04/17/caitlin-clark-im-so-sorry-on-wednesday-i-was-part-of-the-problem/73364922007/

It's really no surprise that you are defending him. Do you think it was just locker room talk?

I'm interested in hearing a woman's point of view on the incident. @Footballmomma, what are your thoughts?

Surprised nothing said this week with Doyel repeatedly making poor comments regarding Clark.  Tons on social media and national news services...mainly going after Doyel hard.

Doyel trying to apologize on social media, but not sure having an impact.  Thoughts??

Newspapers are dead. They should not even attempt to transiton to other media. They're not very good at it, never have been. Remember Robin Miller at the track during May? He sucked on paper and on tv.
