not sure what his grades are like..all levels look at metrics nowadays..rarely at heart 😥

Won't mention a name but there was a basketball player at Luers when I was going through that had about 20-25 D1 schools beating his door down. His grades and attendance were so bad that they couldn't do anything with him. Ended up fizziling out in Juco ball.

No shame, yes. Satisfied with 8-1 and a shared Victory Bell?? Not a chance. My Luers team in 2007 went 5-4 in the SAC, we lost those 4 games to Harding (2006 2A Champs), North, Snider and Dwenger by a COMBINED 20 pts…knowing we were that close to the Victory Bell still haunts me and I have a blue ring! While I can’t speak to the mindset of these kids I would imagine they wanted that 15-0 mark.

The key now is to stay humble and realize that every week is championship week. If they do that and play 48 minutes of Luers Football, they’ll be just fine.

I was on the 09-13 teams. This team shouldn't be satisfied no but still a heck of an accomplished sharing the title. And I agree winning state all 4 years was great but painting the bell from blue to black and red was something I'll never forget.

    09-12* sorry fat crooked fingers

There's no such thing as a sliding team that gets through the SAC with only one loss. The Knights are as good now as they were in Week 1. If they lose from this point forward, it's because they didn't put their best foot forward.

Exactly its not a thing of luck that they are a shared sac champion. They lost to a very good snider team and there's no Shame in that.

A lot more to deal with like putting turf fields in at schools that don't bring in any revenue? Snider has a legitimate argument based on the program they built which just happens to be a money maker for FWCS. It's no secret Snider is looked down upon for the success that they've achieved. But whatever, they'll keep on winning whether have a stadium or don't . I mean, who cares if Snider's home field has a Bruin in the center of it, right? They still win.

Anyway, this was a Luers thread to begin with. I don't know enough about the program to know if they even want turf or not. If that's what they want, I hope they get it. If not, then who cares. Their business is winning state championships regardless of the condition of their field. Kudos to them.

They have pre existing stadiums it would be cheaper putting down turf for them than building a whole new stadium for snider. Believe me I think it would be cool to see snider have an official home stadium near campus but is it realistic when their situation at spuller stadium is doing fine and still being a "money maker". The revenue at one stadium hosting two teams outweighs the cost of operating an added stadium. I personally don't think anyone looks down on snider for their success either. They have proven they are a "blue blood" program in the state, and I wish them success in the tournament.

The topic (from this IDIOT) was about turf at Luers.  Then it devolved into Snider getting a separate Stadium and turfing their lower-level facility.

I will continue to be oblivious to the reality of things that have been in place for 50 years, and allow you and those of your ilk to continue your PIPE DREAM of tax payer supported facilities that are not now in place, nor will ever be in the near future.

Yes, I am a total clown!  Thank you, very much.

You can't bring up the word turf in fort Wayne without people on here throwing their two cents in about snider building a new stadium. It's a dumb argument FWCS has alot more to deal with then worrying about snider building a new stadium.

Oh I don't disagree. Snider should destroy Concordia. That's why I said I didn't know why, I just felt some weird feeling that they were going to get the upset tonight, but maybe that's just the Taco Bell from last night sitting in my gut 🤣

With the way Sniders defense has been playing Concordia could definitely make a game out if it.

I wouldn't write them off yet. I think it will be better than last year. Season is early, adjustments hopefully can be made. IMO, regular season is a tune up for when it counts in sectionals and regionals and onward. I don't get their D sets on the corners, they are not in good position. Even an average spectator like me can see that.

I mentioned their defense in an earlier post I'm not really sure what's going on with the defense. Like you said I'm confused as to why they are lining up the way they have been, I figured an adjustment would have been made after the north game. It is early, hoping they can get it turned around.
