I agree with the sectionals being seeded, it is long overdue. The thing that gets me even worse is the charter and private schools in the tournament. If you offer any kind of assistance or scholarships, I think they should be in a different tournament. Look at Springs Valley. They have to go play Providence, who we all know offers assistance. I think this is unfair. Indiana should do what Tennessee high schools did a few years back and have a public school tournament, and a separate one for private and charter schools. Just my opinion.

Both schools have agreed since 2017 not to play the game do to it being sectional week, this came from WW officials. WW at North Harrison. NH is not as big upfront as they have been in the past. They have a couple good backs, the Fessell kid is good. Offensively I thought we looked better than in the pre season 11-11's. Our line has some issues, but we have a lot of kids we can play up there if someone is having a bad night. Chase was solid at QB. McCoy and Cress will be hard to catch if they get enough blocking upfront. They are both fast and shifty. Good rotation of kids on offense, maybe the most depth at WW for sometime. Defensively, wasn't bad. Gibby always has put a good defense together and is great at making adjustments. Played a lot of kids on the line and look ok in the trenches. Linebacker play was pretty good and our secondary was real locked in with a couple interceptions. Scrimmages are deceiving, honestly i wish they would just schedule another game, but all in all, I believe we will be ok. On to Eastern Pekin on Friday!! Lowery will have them ready to play!

WWFan you asked about the backfield for WW? I believe it will consist of Chase QB, MCcoy at full, and Cress at half. That is my thinking but Coach may see it differently and maybe a few surprises. McCoy and Cress are both hard nosed kids, not maybe as big as those who graduated, but tough and shifty! If we can get them some blocking, good things will happen! My concern is on the defensive side? Roberts is a tough one to replace, he made a ton of tackles last year!! Gibby will figure it out! Congratulations to Coach Gibson on his recent award from the IHSAA!!

Is the IHSAA still needing officials? I went to their website and started to fill out the application and it said someone would get ahold of me? I have yet to be contacted by anyone. Am i doing something wrong?

About a month away from the season getting underway. How is everyone's teams shaping up for the season? Heard Salem's numbers where down? Any pre season news?

I have a hard time picking against my Senators. Mind tells me I made the right pick, heart tells me no, and I hope I am wrong!! Win or lose this team and coaches have had a great season and I am very proud of all of them.
