AJNLCBEARS Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 I always love seeing the Indianapolis City Tournament games. The atmosphere being the best part. There's also a lot of history with both the IPS schools and private schools. With that being said, are there any high schools that need to participate in the City tournament that are not participating in it? Marion County participates are completely understandable. My best example would be Shortridge, a historical IPS school that is not in the City tournament. Shortridge would actually be right in the middle of the current pack this year with their Sagarin rating. I am aware Shortridge is in a different conference, but doesn't mean they can't participate. Wonder why Shortridge doesn't participate in the City Alliance. I know the Marion County Tourney stole Roncalli in 2000 from the City, but it's been pretty peaceful on the moving in front there. Ben Davis, Southport, Pike and Beech Grove are the only teams to play in all 106 boys Marion County Tourneys. Quote
