SEAL_63 Posted September 17, 2021 Share Posted September 17, 2021 (edited) As I’m sure many in the southwest Indiana sporting and media community were already aware, Dave Young, the longtime Voice of Vincennes Lincoln athletics, was diagnosed with cancer in mid 2020. Dave was on the air with 92.1 WZDM for over 4,000 (yes, 4,000) Lincoln sporting events including football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, soccer, and even a marching band competition or two. Today, Dave lost his battle. And a void has been ripped into the Vincennes community. Somewhat fittingly, on the eve of Lincoln’s homecoming, an event near and dear to the hearts of Vincennes faithful, Dave was called home.
