November 2021 - LSU hires head coach Brian Kelly away from Notre Dame. December 2021 - Marcus Freeman accepts head coaching position at Notre Dame after LSU's second attempt to reel him in as their defensive coordinator. April 2022 - shortly after being fired at LSU, Ed Orgeron spends a week in South Bend sharing coaching insights with newly hired Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman.
