  1. Marion, St. Francis, IWU, Taylor are all VERY solid NAIA programs in Indiana!
  2. As much as I'd like to agree with you, as a 4 year NAIA player, DII is defitinely better. A good example is UINDY beat #7 Marian 45-21 week 1 of this year. I think there are definitely some NAIA programs that can beat DII programs, don't get me wrong. But if you are comparing the top teams of each, DII is defintiely better.
  3. Which mascots would be the most awesome to have a live version of?
  4. Great hire for Muncie Central! I'm excited to see what he accomplishes there.
  5. Terry Hoeppner, who later coached for Miami Ohio, and Indiana University began his coaching career at Eastbrook High School in 1970-1972, serving as Head Coach.
  6. Why don't more teams do this then?
  7. This is a video circulating online - apparently, this is an NFHS rule that if it doesn't cross the goal line, it's treated as a punt and down where it lands - if it crosses the goal line, then it's ruled as a touchback. Can anyone tell me if this is also the rule in Indiana? Snapinsta.app_video_8F48EB9DE9470B2176B9B48CAEBB3F9A_video_dashinit.mp4
  8. It's a good idea to check the top rankings. There are 2 Indiana kids in the top 100 for basketball and 4 in the top 300 for football.
  9. No I agree it can't just be sheer numbers. The NFL has 257 draft picks and the NBA has 60 draft picks. 6 draft picks / 257 is about 2.3% and 1 draft pick / 60 is about 1.6%
  10. Honest question, at what point does Indiana no longer become a basketball state and become a football state? There was one player from last year's NBA draft from Indiana. Although I'm not sure if there were other Hoosiers who ended up going to some other academy/etc. that is out of state. Does anyone have some good data on D1 recruits for basketball vs football and also professional player numbers? I've done some googling, but nothing too deep. I know historically Indiana is unquestionably a basketball state, but how does that compare to the last 20 years? 10 years?
  11. Traders Point and South Dearborn are going to team camp at Taylor University from 7/14-7/16 and we are looking for two more teams. Pricing is flexible and very affordable. We would even be open to hosting a few other teams for a single day scrimmage. Please contact Sam Carnes, scarnes@tpcs.org or 317-753-8252, if you are interested.
