I heard a comment from someone once about school superintendents that went something like, “When you hire a person who is new(er) to school administration as a school admin, they are so worried about keeping their salary that they’ll do anything a parent wants at the threat of being taken to the school board, instead of doing what’s best for the school/kids”
-
The kind of administration willing to fire a coach over parents, is the same kind of administration that is afraid to discipline those same kids.. because of their parents.

Yep, you're right. I accidentally looked at the 2023 regional as I wrote the 2024 part. They just need to win Semi-State in 2025 🙂 I fixed it below
-
Need 6 points to move up in a 2-year period. I believe I heard success factor is a rolling 2 year period now. 1 Point - Sectional Win 2 Points - Regional Win 3 Points - Semi-State Win 4 Points - State Win 2023 won a regional, 2024 won a semi-state. 2+3 is 5, they will be 1A next season. If they WIN State in 2025, they would go to 2A the following season. 2024 Regional(2) + 2025 State(4) = 6

Wabash River Conference Week 5

visors simply have to finish the season injury free, and they should be wrc champions in week 10. hoeever I think they still have their toughest game on the schedule left to play. this topic comes up every year, but will sv get tired of runing the table against 1a teams just to get bounced in their sectional? i think south vermillion could do really well with a linton model where they play a tough independent schedule that includes teams like linton, sullivan, northview, etc. get battle tested and prepared to make a deep push. even if you lose a couple times, you are better for it. does running clocks in 7-8 of 9 games prepare you for a sectional that features 2 of the qop 10 teams in 2a? I think i just made my score prediction for this week. running clock to start the 3rd. with foxworthy back under center, this matchup has lost all of the intrigue that the jamboree created. mustangs seemed to right the ship somewhat. regardless of the second half comeback by covington.. mustangs found a way to win. congratulations to coach king on #200. will get 201 this week by however many points they want. i was sad to see attica not even score. i thought that was their best chance for a win all season. @GroundSquirrel said it best. hats off to those kids and those coaches for FIGHTING every week. game of the week. will the mecca tavern be providing concessions with their food trailer? i could go for a tenderloin. I made it out to the sectional championship game at rp a couple years ago and it was quite the environment. people were just lined up all over the fence. would think it would be a similar environment. The job rp has done over many years has been impressive to watch. i've mentioned before that rp is my darkhorse candidate to win the wrc this year. they have to win the next two fridays to do that. rp usually likes to control the clock but with as explosive as they've been this year I wouldn't be surprised if they are actually losing the time of possession battle this season. there are worse problems to have. how will nv respond this week? only good thing that can come from a loss like they took last week is how you respond the next week. we will see. john harrells says rp 31-21 woofs at seeger could be a nail biter. both teams looking for wins in the wrc that aren't against attica. Who is the interim head coach for parke heritage? I imagine they are doing whatever they can this week to be 2-0 as the head coach. how many teams in the wrc have played under an interim head coach before? could ph end the year as the winningest Interim hc of them all? i'm going to take the visitors 32-27 -

My thoughts are gathered.. Trojans at Fountain Centrals. What is Herbs record vs former assistants..? Isn't this another "trophy" game for Herb. Golden helmet or something? It seems to me from what I saw of the nv/covington game that covington was much better than the 13 points they scored. nv was lucky to make it out. This week is all Trojans. Trojans XXL, Mustangs XXS Woofs at Attica has to be one of the more interesting matchups this week in my opinoin. I think a lot of people expected more from the woofs. I've not really seen either team play(Do they livestream?). It'd be fun to see a shootout here. Give both of the teams so confidence in moving the ball. I'm going to call upset this week. Lot of distractions for Parke County this week. I read in an article about Attica that was posted on the GID that Attica wanted to close out Bruce Lewis Field with a win. This is the week to make that happen. Attica 20, PH 18 Panthers at Mel Gibsons. RP is the darkhorse to win the WRC. That's the truth. Would love to see them win out. If their is a program deserving of the WRC Title this year.. it has to be RP. I have no comments on Seeger honestly other than it seems they may be back to the Seeger team we've been used to the last 10 years. RP is doing what winners do. Taking care of business. RP 34 Seeger 8 Visors at (This used to be Crabtrees, is it Rodriguezs now? Sure is!) Rodriguezss certainly on paper closed the argument of their easy schedule. Livestream was a bit laggy but trojans moved the ball almost at will. I think the argument between Key-In Moore and Andrew Botner isn't settled. Both of them had mediocre games imo. Garzo 2.0 is playing as good as we've seen him. Athletes all around. Blank pouring his secret sauce into the OL. Regardless of people saying SV is sputtering.. they are doing what winners do, WINNING. I saw @GroundSquirrel mention NV had 4 picks last week? I didn't watch the hole game but I noticed they don't have any stats on maxpreps. Was it 4 picks by committee or does NV have a stud defender? Visors won on a hail mary praise jebus last year. Won't need that this week. They are the better team, and based on what I've read, they stole all the secret sauce from NV, along with getting inside information everyday.. SV 35, NV 7 -

I think the big brothers in the wrc won't have an issue fielding their usual spring sports as well as boy volleyball The little brothers of the wrc would struggle to field track, baseball, golf, and boy volleyball imo Sunset ride? -

Still teaching at nv, but coaching for sv? Why would the higher ups at nv allow that to happen? That's crazy and to quote @Donnie Baker I'll say it right to your face. -

What is so special about this honestly? Didn't he coach volleyballs last year? Seems to me he's been out on nv football for some time. Why would those kids care that he is on the other sideline now? I've heard sv is starting a boy volleyballs team since it is an ihsdoublea sport now. Maybe Blank will coach that for sv since he has experience? -

Fountain Centrals at Riverton Parkes - If any WRC team grabbed my attention last week it was the Panthers! I'm not totally familiar with Carroll outside of they had a great season last year.. and I honestly thought RP was going to drop them after last year's game... FC has seemed underwhelming. I had high expectations for them. Is Foxworthy good to play this week? If anyone else takes snaps at QB for the Mustangs, I'll take RP by 3 scores.. PS - Have you seen the Panther at RP they have at the entrance?? I saw a video of it the other day and it's pretty neat!! North Vermilions at the little Trojans - I think this matchup will tell everyone 2 things. 1.) How good is Tri-County and Paris. 2.) Which team is tired of hearing about their "Easy" schedule the most. What is it about the Trojan Complex? It seems several people have suggested its harder to win there? I've seen quite a few upsets happen at the Complex. Seems the falcons have found different ways to win so far. The Botner kid had a pretty good game against the birds. QB played well against the tigers. Cian Moore is probably the best back in the conference though.(Is it pronounced "Key-in" or "Sigh-an"?? I've heard it both ways. Or is there a third pronunciation? Either way I think this is obviously the game of the week. Is it being live-streamed? I'll take the visitors by 4. Shootout, with lots of missed PATs. Seegers at Attica - Donnie Baker said some teams probably wouldn't have fun.. and I think this is the half of the games where that comes in to play. I thought I heard FC and Attica tied in their jambore? Did that say more about Attica or FC? Seems so far it said more about FC. Mel Gibsons by 50 Visors at The Woofs - Visors have over 200 more students than the Wolfs and they could score almost 200 more points than them as well... Is it true PH will be under an interim Head Coach soon? -

Wow.. Is that many penalties a factor of how bad Paris is or how much better NV was than Paris. I guess those might be the same thing now that I type it Wasn't the game 14-6 when it got postponed? Seems as though the game could of been closer than the paper says. Regardless, I'm looking forward to some WRC football! -

Wabash River Conference Week 3
Dolts replied to Donnie Baker's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Honest question here.. what is it about NV? If "Blank was Crabtree's secret weapon" how are they still winning with both of them gone? Have they not played good teams? Or were they just that much better than NC and Paris? I feel like SV has made their statement this year. The narrative has always been that they beat up on their 1A schedule and then can't win vs school's their size. West Vigo has 533 Students. Sullivan has 524 students. South Vermillion has 457 students... Seems to me they have changed the narrative this year? On a more serious note, I hear "Visor Up" a lot. What's the second half? "Visor Up, _________ Down!"
