I'm not for seeding at all, but if they did go to that why not just used something like Sagarin or another computer ranking system.  It could be flawed or have certain holes in it but those can always be tweaked to get to where you want.  When you start allowing humans and bias into the process you can expect trouble.  

Sagarin doesn't take into count out of state opponents. That affects a lot of teams in the state.

If 8-9 Wrestling coaches can seed 14 different weight classes in a 1 evening.

Then, 8 coaches can seed a single sectional in about 20 minutes. Don't even have to be present. Each coach ranks the Section 1-7 (doesn't include his own). Emails it to Sectional Host. The host compiles them, and send it back to the coaches. Even make how each school ranked known to the other head coaches.

Doesn't everyone but RP, NV, and SV have a new head coach?

The IHSAA needs to release a statement explaining their actions as it is very puzzling for all parties involved.  

That Sectional had 7 teams. Either re do the whole 1A North, or make Pioneer #8.

That was their thinking. Conference foes Triton and Judson are in that Sectional with them as well. The only "Region" team is Bowman, and South Central.

This is what we commonly refer to as "feeding at the public trough."

I know he does for wrestling. And I believe he does for transportation. But I believe its Dean/AD, so not for AD.

A little bit more to it, too:

• Assist building principals with disciplinary issues
• Maintain and track attendance records (6th-12th)
• Attend truancy and attendance meetings
• Communicate and with parents regarding academic and behavioral concerns 
• Schedule and oversee after-school detentions and in-school suspensions
• Support classroom teachers regarding classroom management concerns
• Assist Building Principals and Athletic Director with extracurricular supervision
• Mentor at-risk students who are in need of additional support
• Additional supervision duties assigned by the Principals

 

Our Dean of Students is also the AD, Wrestling Coach, and Co-Transportation Director while doing most of things you see above.

In 2001 I believe Attica got runner up in Football, and won state in Basketball.

Losing St Brown and Taylor didn't help anything Special Teams wise that is for sure.
