  1. take the PAC12 and Big12 in college...they all run similar offenses....Big10 and Sec...similar offenses....the HCC conference we obviously know and have been talking about...all run a spread type offense that put up big numbers....I'm sure my guy DE is cool with the Noblesville coach coming in and running those smash traps...bam when your not looking breaks a big gainer, but it remains to be seen if it works.....honestly I felt  bad for the Noblesville kids when they were down huge and the coach basically ran out the clock early in the third quarter...go back to LaPorte my man I hear there is an opening.

Merrillville’s past two teams and Valpo’s State Runner Up team could have definitely competed in the HCC. Last year was an odd year for Valpo with the amount of practices and games they missed. I wouldn’t go as far as calling northern Indiana dead just because HCC and MIC rule the roost.

I would agree on that Valpo team....they gave New Pal all they could handle....Merrillville....sure they would have beaten the dog crap out of Noblesville and probably Fishers but too soft

Noblesville didn’t fair much better airing it out with a QB that’s currently on IU’s roster. I get what you’re saying and at times I was too disgusted to watch them last year. I’m still willing to give Sharpe time to build his program, though my opinion doesn’t really matter. And if it works, it’s really a mute point if good passing QB’s and WR’s from Noblesville will go elsewhere. Just win without them. I’ll tell you they likely won’t leave if they also play baseball as that’s the premier men’s sport in Noblesville.

Who knows. Maybe he’ll adapt the offense like Moore did with Jackson if he has a QB that can throw. Maybe, because of limited practice reps, he was using live games as practice for installing his offense. Honestly, with the way our line played, a passing game would have been non existent. D-Lines would have feasted on the QB.

sorry to disagree but the offensive line was good...I think you have a D1 commit?  Again, when you line up with ZERO wide receivers the defense knows what is coming....our defense stacked the box....your head coach is running a horrible system....can that change...sure it can but if I'm a Noblesville family with some scratch...Im going elsewhere...the QB passing instructors in Hamilton County also know whats up

I happen to enjoy that style of offense and seen it first hand when he was at LaPorte its devastation it can bring.

    Patience @BigBH

not sure how many times I have to say it....LaPorte is not the HCC....sure we all get that throw back warm and fuzzies for those old time offenses but the spread offense is how it rolls and right now Hamilton County parents of middle school kids are filling out  transfer paperwork for Zionsville, HSE, Fishers, GC, Carmel and Westfield....any idea how many passing academies have popped up in that area right now?  The aren't working on hand offs...Noblesville had 52 attempts in 10 games.....52!!!!

I'm not quite sure how high expectations are at Noblesville.  They seem to be at a level where you would find a Pike or a franklin or a TH North. Occasional good season and a lot of mediocre ones

Doubt if my guy DE can chime in on this but if you attend a Noblesville home game you will see a large number of parents/fans tailgating....trust me I have been to them all and they are the only HCC school doing it.  I think its great but I assume those fine folks expect more pronto to justify the burgers, dogs, and beer.  Oh but that quick trap might just work....LOL

That is primarily due to my confidence in Sharpe.   Maybe we need to throw away 2020 and give all a fresh start

No you need to throw away his offensive philosophy....let me repeat he was losing by 28 in the second half and still going with no receiver sets....and then on long yardage he put one guy out....watch the tape Avon took that pass back for an 80 yard touchdown.

I have stated this a few times since last summer, but with how interrupted the global pandemic had in this state, the verdicts need to be held out for any and all the 1st year HC at new schools.   They were up against it, trying to get their system in place via Zoom calls, is not ideal, they were behind the preverbial 8 ball and for some schools still are.

Give Coach Sharpe some time with his system requires time and patience to get the timing down to run the Straight T, assuming that is what he is doing.

you make good points.....it was so painful to watch though, but yes he deserves the time to right the ship

    Really, how so?

not enough time in the day...

Aware of that.  On the other hand, the expetrience at Noblesville and the HCC may not be quite what he was looking for.  Laporte was one of the most fun and dangerous teams to watch under his leadership.

The fun is gone.....I looked up the season passing stats from this past season....23/52, 353 yards and 2 TD................I know the Brownsburg QB transferred from Noblesville a few years ago, but to compete in the HCC he needs to assemble a much better air attack.  Again when you line up with no receiver sets its pretty obvious what they are doing.

Noblesville has always been inexplicable to me.  It’s the only Hamilton County program that seems to consistently be poor or mediocre, at best.

Since I have kid that played against Noblesville a few months ago I am confident saying without question the worst offensive system I have seen since the 80's...not sure if the coach is as horrible as I think or they simply don't have the athletes, but the majority of the game they lined up with zero wide receivers and on occasion split one kid out and actually tried to throw to him.  I think one big poster here has honked the Noblesville coach and a big turnaround but sorry he needs to hire a new O coordinator or get out of the passing happy HCC......they were down 28 and still ground and pound....horrible!!!
