  2. Why Logansport over NorthWood? 48 minutes from New Prairie to NorthWood. 1 hour and 30 minutes from New Prairie to Logansport. That's not taking bus travel into account. Tack on another 10-15 minutes.
  3. Somewhat surprising that SB Washington also dropped to 3A, paving the way for some new blood in the sectional. Couple that with the loss of KV/Hobart and Mishawaka equals lots of new faces in what was the old Sectional 18. Plenty of ranked opponents. Should be a meat grinder. Plymouth, CMA, New Prairie, St. Joe - potentially NorthWood - have all been state ranked in recent years past.
  4. You are correct. The "ties" run deep, however. KV plays in a Lake County conference. My argument is that it is a much shorter bus ride up I-65 to the Region, as opposed to the travel out east. KV does not have immediate access to 94/30 as Hobart does. For example, it would take KV an extra 20-25 minutes to make it to New Prairie as compared to Hobart. The committee will surely take this into consideration?
  5. 9 schools with "Lake County" ties. Mentioned it earlier, but Hobart may get the bid out east. They have a much easier travel path than KV, with access to 94/30. Difference in travel time, KV versus Hobart, is roughly 20-25 minutes to their closest sectional opponent.
  6. In the North - Andrean QB, Merrill, just signed as a preferred walk-on with IU. He still going to play?
  7. So that would look something like this? Outside of Sectional 4, better have those charter buses gassed up and ready to go! 1 - Merrillville, Crown Point, Lake Central, Lafayette Jeff 2 - Penn, Chesterton, Valparaiso, Portage 3 - Noblesville, Homestead, Carroll, Warsaw 4 - Westfield, North Central, Carmel, Zionsville
  8. Full list found here: https://ifca.net/download/AllStarTotalsbySchool.pdf Thanks for playing along! Any surprises - any team stand out? How cool to be the lone representative in your school's history?!?
  9. Winner! Elkhart Central finishes out the Top Ten with 43 representatives. 1. Penn 2. Ben Davis 3. Carmel 4. FW Snider 5. Bloomington South 5. Valparaiso 7. FW Dwenger 7. Hobart 9. Elkhart Central 9. Indianapolis Chatard
  10. Plymouth, LaPorte, Castle, SB St. Joe all with 26 representatives. May be a dead giveaway, but the missing entry also made headlines for all the wrong reasons, as Gehrig Dieter amassed 447 receiving yards against them in 2011!
  11. Names not mentioned but not Top 10... Lawrence Central - 40 Marion - 38 Evansville Reitz - 37 Roncalli - 34 Munster - 34 Richmond - 34
  12. School is still in existence. Won their last sectional in 2014. Whiting - 8 reps Clark - 8 reps Morton - 14 reps ECC - 12 reps Roosevelt - 5 reps Pioneer - 14 reps

  17. An updated look at the standings... 1. Penn (63) 2. Ben Davis (57) 3. Carmel (55) 4. FW Snider (51) 5. Bloomington South (48) 5. 7. Hobart (46) 7. FW Dwenger (46) 9. Chatard (43) 9.
  18. Bloomington South is correct in the 5-spot with 48 representatives! Dwenger is also correct, tied with Hobart at 46 representatives. Chatard is lower in the list, and neither Luers (17) nor NorthWood (38) make the cut. There are still two schools yet to be named...
  19. Correct on the first four! Chatard, Dwenger, and Bloomington South all crack the Top 10, though there is some shuffling. No to Warren Central (11) nor Merrillville (12). Still very impressive! 1. Penn with 67 2. Ben Davis with 57 3. Carmel with 55 4. FW Snider with 51 5. HINT: It's a tie. 7. Hobart and another (TIE) 9. HINT: It's a tie. Two schools yet to be named...
  20. Misspoke earlier - Hobart comes in at #7 - not #9. 1. Penn - 67 reps 7. Hobart - 46 reps
  21. Sheridan does not make the list. Yes, seven of ten represent the North.
  22. Apologies - misunderstood. Snider is lower than your ranking, and Carmel is higher.
  23. Penn, FW Snider, Carmel all crack the top ten. Care to rank them? Penn is the definitive Number One! 67 athletes for the Black and Gold.
  24. Ranking in at #9. with 46 all-time representatives, the Brickies are on the list!
