As far as the new sectional, some of the boys were disappointed they wouldn't get another shot at Martinsville. Personally, I'm not upset about not seeing EC in a sectional game.
As for the draw, I'm good with it. We have a winnable game away. If that does happen, then we'll at least have Reitz in Bedford. Although it would've been nice to watch the boys play in the Bowl.

Welcome to the party, BNL. Does Damon Bailey still play for them? Is Brett Szabo their coach?
I know nothing about them, obviously.
Thanks for having us.
I think his eligibility expired a few years back.
Derrick Barker is the man at the helm.

3 pages this morning....there's a lot to sift through.
1. End of game: Agree with going for 2.
2. Penalties: FC apparently has had a lot of penalties called on them in recent games, there's only 1 common denominator there.
3. We didn't play good the first half. Our kids played hard, but we had a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes...dropped passes, missed tackles, etc. We made adjustments and played better in the 2nd half.
4. I'd like to think one fan is indicative of an entire fanbase, but as the players were shaking hands and fans were leaving the stands, FC fans yelled something derogatory towards the Stars supporters that ignited the entire section....way to keep it classy FC.

LG, any status on Cal Gates? I haven't heard if Bernardi is playing for sure yet?

I'll be the homer and take Floyd Central. Although I'm expecting this to be a toss up game. BNL is tough. They gave B-North all they wanted on the road. Floyd Central will need to play extremely well to get out of this game with a win.
I'll take NA. These programs are in really bad shape. I've heard people and parents in both communities complaining about what's going on at these places. This would be a feel good win for either of these teams. I think Cooley will have the better gameplan and win this one.
Seymour here. One of the best 3-3 teams you'll see in the Southern Indiana. Lost 3 games they could've won. Perry leads the State in passing. They'll roll Jennings County.
B-North. East isn't bad defensively, they just can't score. B-North wins by 21 or more.
We didn't just give them all they wanted. It wasn't like it was just a "valiant effort". We had control most of the game.

Bad calls are a part of the game, you play through them....that doesn't mean I won't voice my displeasure though.

The Stars came out flat Friday against JC. We didn't play our best ball. If we come out like that this Friday, we'll be playing catch up the rest of the game.
The one thing that stands out about FC to me, their resiliency. They've proven they can come back and win in the 4th. If we're fortunate enough to have the lead in the 4th, we can't let up.
Btw, I highly dislike fields where all the spectators sit on the same side.

Don’t know anything about Seymour’s football team other than have heard they have a good offense but defensively they can not stop anyone. So far their scores seemed to have indicated this. Is this true at all?
They can score fast. The QB does a good job of putting the ball where only his receivers can catch it. As fast as their O can score though, their D can allow scores. I could be wrong, but I thought I noticed 3-4 of their O skills going both ways. 2nd half fatigue has to factor into some of their outcomes.

Homecoming week for the Stars. Lots of distractions for the players. JC coming to town. We head to FC next week with the possibility of the HHC Conference Championship on the line. Perfect ingredients for a trap game.

And to use FKfootball's words, we've "already played the hardest and 3rd hardest teams" and neither of them put 40 on us.

Pretty bold statement no one has held Seymour below 40 yet. I reckon we’ll find out Friday.
It's not that bold. BNL's varsity D is only giving up 18, on average.

Highlanders vs Owls is likely the batrle to win the HHC. Floyd sounds like they want to make the Owls defense to prove themselves i’d they want to win this one. If Floyd sticking with a hard nose RB ground attack or are they working the Owls defense in the air as well? Something has seemed a little off with Seymour defensive approach since Greenwood and it may likely cost them the Conference title.
Don't sleep on the Stars. Seymour, or any other team remaining on our schedule, won't hang 40 on us.

We have to beat Harrison first. Then we'll work on the thumbtack acquisition.
