  1. oh lets be real legitimate move of residences. When you hear about certain programs having "ins" on rental properties under "someone's LLC". This isn't a case where a kid isn't playing and leaving. Why would a starting QB in one program leave to literally sit the bench for another, especially when the program he went to has a 3 year starter/NIC 1st team All-Conference last season. Not to mention the current starter is a junior. Maybe some should of listened to the comments about the HC and his staff of Playstation Coaches that I made last season. We can go back and check those receipts too. Because they were spot on and most got #$## hurt, lol. One week you have a DC following officials out of the stadium and into the parking lot making threats over "Holding". Then a week or two later you have another coach making a more menacing threat to a certain players parent. Not hard to figure out who I'm referring to. If that doesn't fall under the hardship clause. Then what do we consider a hardship?
  2. Elkhart at Adams- Absolutely no way Adams even competes in this game. Will they have their upperclassmen or will Frankie have to field multiple freshmen. DC contributions were no where to be found last week. Quality coaching had the defense looking like ND on the final play the entire game. Will he be serving a suspension this week after his antics after the game? Elkhart takes this one 42-0 LaVille at Glenn intriguing match up here. Laville 5-1 travels into Falcon country who are 4-2. Laville seemed to play Knox tough to the final minute. The question is do they have anyone who can lock down #14 and can the rest contain #3. Can the Falcon defense stop the Triple Threat Plummer. Plummer Kicks, throws and runs one in to keep Laville Close. Falcons 28 Laville 24. Marian at Angola- This one is a tough one. You have the 2-4 Knights against an 0-6 Angola. Angola has played a fairly strong schedule losing to the 4-2 Falcons in the final seconds, losing to 5-1 Lakeland by 1, and putting 4 scores on a tough 6-0 West Noble squad. Has the Dragoon Trail Kingdom Fallen? No one was talking about their tough schedule when they were beating their cross town rivals and the Kingdom from Osceola. Can the Knights re-group this season and make a sectional run? Their Saftey play and big play ability has fallen drastically since Atkinson graduated. Take Atkinson away from those few years and Marian would have had the same results of the past two seasons. Angola 28 Marian 21 Riley at New Prairie- #13 versus #10 this week. Riley's opponents are 13-23 and NP Opponents are 9-27. NP is favored to win by 10. Can Riley's explosive and stout front 7 force NP to get out of their comfort zone and start airing it out? Rileys starting defense has given up less then 3 points per game and less then 1 yard per carry to opposing defenses. They are no stranger to running QB's this season and have shut down everyone they have faced. On offense can Riley's fairly big line get push up front and create run lanes? New Prairie isn't as big up front as past years. Can Marshall find a lane and explode through it before the front 7 closes in? Can NP defense keep up with Riley's speed at receiver? NP chose this one for their Homecoming. One would assume they circled this one as winnable over next weeks home game against Penn. Most would disagree but I'm taking Riley 27 NP 10 St. Joseph at Penn- STJ defense is too undisciplined to slow down Penn's ground and pound. Penn gets some needed practice in the secondary this game. The JV unit comes in before the end of the 3rd quarter. Penn 42- STJ 0 Washington at Jimtown- Can Wash get the offense going early? QB seems to be able to hit the quick game fairly accurately. But, their facing a stack team that will eliminate the short throws. Wash QB has to be able to throw down field and the Run game has to able to get north/south. Can Jimtown get Wash's LB's starring in the backfield in their wing T. Jimtown 35-Wash 21 North Newton at Clay- Battle of the win-less. Have no idea where North Newton is. This one is winnable for Clay. Can their coaches keep things organized and stick to what is working? Clay 21- North Newton 14
  3. Member Posted May 19 I don't think you can include Adams in the group. I feel that with their new AD and numerous good coaches, they will be able to compete with the big boys in the future. ****lol, I'm not even going to comment about Coach of the Year*** But, while we are on the topic about SB Schools. I found one of your post that didn't age well. Frankie and Lee were both hired at the same time, correct. Why has Coach Lee had immediate success year 1 and now year 2? Must be that he knows how to manage a quality staff. what good coaches are you speaking of at Adams? Is it the one that had absolutely no clue why his kid was ejected for kicking a Riley player while he was getting up off the ground, after breaking a 50 yard run on them? Heard he played in the JV game the following week (Solid coaches), or was it their DC who I heard stood with an IPAD waiting for a ref to come out of the locker room and then followed him to the parking lot this (past game?). This the same DC who Riley ran for 300 on his defense? They were fortunate Riley cost themselves multiple penalties that moved the ball for them or stopped their own drives (Riley). Otherwise the game would have been 50-0. Tape doesn't lie you can find it on youtube (game of the week 46) you can check the receipts. I know you must be related in some way or think because someone was a tight end coach at a powerhouse school who didn't miss a beat when he left. But, lets real it back in a bit and give these coaches a pat on the back. These same kids were running the team before they got there.
  4. Jimtown at Tippecanoe Valley, Jimtown will travel down to Death Valley and realize who the conference champ will be for the next several years. TV 40- Jimtown 7 Glenn at Bremen- Glenn got out muscled up front against Knox. Can Glenn shut down Bremen's offensive production in the air? Can Bremen get their run game going? Glenn should take this one 28-7 New Prairie at Adams- NP Beats another cupcake 42-7 Penn at Marian- Fortunate for Marian they are playing a HC who is rather conservative. Yeoman calls off the dawgs early in the 2nd quarter. Penn 48 Marian 0 St. Joseph at Elkhart- STJ hasn't impressed me. Their only wins are Adams, Wash and Fort Wayne South SIde all cupcakes....Elkhart 21 STJ 14 Washington at Riley- Ooofff Washington is off to a severely rough start after letting go off Stammich. Riley easy in this one 48-7
  5. Bremen at Jimtown -This one is going to be a toss up. Bremen's only time rushing over 100 yards was against a Triton team being held together by glue last week. They've thrown over 1000 yards this season 650 of those yards against South Central and Triton. Jimtown for some reason hasn't posted any stats. 75 out of their 124 PF this season came in one game against the mighty team North of Baugo Creek Osceola Grace. If Bremen can find success in the air and slow down Jimtowns run game like everyone else has. Bremen can take this one 21-14. If Jimtown can trap it's way through Bremens defense. Jimtown takes it 21-14 Elkhart at Penn- Penn takes this one. Elkhart is irrelevant this year and a major disappointment. Nothing more to say. Glenn at Knox- I'm taking Glenn in this one. Sure Knox is 4-0...but, Culver 56-8 (0-4), Winamac 42-0 (0-4?), North Judson 22-18??? and Judson was winning in the 3rd. Question is can Knox stop the pass, especially with Glenn getting Larkin back this past week. Glenn 24- Knox 7 New Prairie at St. Joseph- St. Joe hasn't impressed me they had 27 points on FWS in the first half. The same FWS team Carrol put 36 on in the first quarter. A team that's 0-24? or more in the past 3 seasons. They played a Washington team that allowed not 1 but 4 blocked punts in a single game. New Prairie is a run heavy team and Lakeland rushed for over 250 yards. Don't know about St. Joe's defense coming to play...New Prairie 35- SJ 14 Adams at Marian- Marian has the better QB, Defense has some holes in the secondary. BJ threw fror 359 yards and 5 TDS. Can the Eagles find a little success in the air? Their run game has been non-existent. Marian 36- Adams 7 Clay at South Bend Washington- If Clay has any chance at putting a win in the column this season. This is their last chance. Wash gets closer to its yearly average win total. Wash 40 Clay 14 Riley at Indy Wash- Riley put away Clay within the first 6 seconds of the game. Indy Wash 2-2 looks hosts a Riley offense that has rushed for over 800 yards and has 13 TDS on the ground. Riley's Defense has allowed only 403 yards of offense in 4 games. 173 Yards on the ground and 203 in the air. Riley 50 Indy Wash 6.
  6. Only reason they are not playing them is because Clay didn't even know if they would be able to field a team and no one wanted to be out a game. Lets not act like Jimtown didn't just play Osceola Grace.
  7. Yea, I think everyone in this forum knows that. My comment doesn't change....He's 2-0.....Elkhart Lions are 1-2.....
  8. Bremen at Triton- Bremen has to find success on the ground early to force Triton to tighten up their Defense. Seems like both teams took hits to their run game this year. Lions in a battle 22-21 Elkhart at Massillon Washington- One things for sure Coach Shattuck has opened up the season 2-0. Massillon Washington's QB looks like he's going to cause the Loins some headaches. MW 34 Elkhart 14 Morton at Penn- Does Morton have the fire power to keep it close? Or was Elkhart Defense just that bad....Penn 42 Morton 17 Glenn at Jimtown, Jimtown's front 7 is a little more disciplined and athletic then Anogola. Can Glenn score early and keep the game close going into half time. Jimton chews the clock in this one 21-7 Marian at New Prairie- Still not convinced about NP this season. NP 28- Marian 21 Riley at Clay- Watched the replay on 46 from Friday night. Riley seemed to have some missed opportunities early on and couldn't capitalize. Riley cleans up the mistakes and runs away with this one 50-0. St. Joseph at Adams has to find a way to slow SJ's passing game. If they struggle to run the ball like they did this week. It could get ugly by the 3rd quarter. SJ 21 Adams 14 Washington at Calumet- Panthers are in trouble. said it all last week.
  9. Wash hasn't beat anyone. They played Hammond Central and lost 34-12? Riley played Gary West Side and won 48-12
  10. What is the solution....Penn go independent to accomplish what? going .500 or below every year....Let's face it they will never be on Center Grove's level, until you bring in a Center Grove type head coach. Penn's what 1/2-6 in out of state games in the past few years.....4 loses to valpo....4 loses to Cathedral....2 to New Prairie....barely beat a 4A East Noble 2 years ago....lost to 3A Mish Marian. Penn needs that schedule more then those teams need their once a year ticket revenue. Not like most of those teams can't sell a few tubs of cookies to make up the difference.
  11. The issue is Washington didn't look this terrible under Stammich. Stammich was still a middle school coach to his core. But, he stressed the basic fundamentals and his teams did not look this horrendous. The Panthers dropped to Clay's level over night. Washington's PF 19 PA 126.....Clay PF 30 PA 135. Culture is instilled the day you walk into the building after accepting the position. Darrick Lee took over a program where the kids were running the show. You have to dive deep and see who Coach Johnson's DC and OC were in his conference title season. Then look at what happened immediately after they left. You have to surround yourself with quality coaches with actual football IQ at every position. Only change any of us has seen is that their media department splurged for the Gold Level Adobe Photoshop. There is a strong possibility Washington ends its season 1-9 and a slight possibility they struggle against Clay and go 0-10. Either way the West Side better figure it out before Adams and Riley consume most of the freshmen talent next season. Clay might close its doors next year but will live on in spirit in the West Side if things don't get figured out immediately.
  12. Brebeuf Jesuit at Marian- BJ coming off a loss to Chatard...Marian squeaked by a below average CMA. BJ wins easily 42-7 Morton at Elkhart- Morton is coming in 1-1 with a win over portage. Morton out gained Hanover Central by 70 yards but couldn't hang onto the football in their 24-14 loss. I like Morton in this one 21-14 Glenn at Angola- Glenn bounces back this week after being held to 74 total yards of offense. Glenn 14- Angola 10 Lowell at New Prairie - New Prairie suffers its 2nd loss of the season this week. Lowell 24 NP 14 Osceola Grace at Jimtown- Jimtown 0-2 and struggling to run the ball in their signature offense. Jimtown looks to get things rolling early. Jimmies 34- Grace 7 Penn at Cathedral- Penn needs to open the playbook a bit if they plan on keeping this one close. Cathedral 42- Penn 21 Clay at Chicago Christian- Do we really have to predict this game? Will Clay be able to finish the season? CC 40 Clay 7 Riley at Adams- Adams' slid by a sophomore packed Logansport with a freshmen Quarterback this past week. Wildcats jumped on the Falcons early last week and held them to under 80 yards of total offense. Taking Riley in this one by 2 1/2 bakers dozen Washington at St. Joseph- Washington was looking for a similar result as their cross town rivals by letting go of Stammich. The program has had an opposite reaction and the panthers are struggling on both sides of the ball. SJ is looking to go 2-1 after easily beating a FWS team that has won 4 games in five years. SJS 40- Washington 0 South Central at Bremen- Bremen found some life last week against a bad Washington team last week. South Central will struggle to keep this one close. Bremen 34- South Central 7
  13. Is it surprising? Bremen beat them soundly last year. All of Washington's minimal production graduated last year. Their looking at a 1-9 season.
  14. Wildly? I predicted them to win and they won? I knew Valpo would give up 30+ but I didn't expect them to put up 21.
  15. Boone Grove at Clay - Bremen at Washington - This one might be the ugliest game this week. Two offenses that struggled week 1. Who can play mistake free football this week and solid defense? Hammond Central's D. Woods carved up the panther defense for 22 carries 222 yards and 3 scores. Can Bremen pound the rock without Mosner in the backfield? Bremen 21 Washington 13 Culver Academy at Marian - Two teams struggling to find their identity. Marian hasn't been the same since Atkinson's returning skills have left. Marian manages a close win 14-10 Elkhart VS Northridge- Elkhart hasn't impressed me. Northridge takes this one 28-21 Goshen at New Prairie - Is NP going to put all the weight on Marshall's shoulder? Can they find anyone to replace Mungia? NP bounces back this week 34-7 Jimtown at Concord - If concord can find success in the air early. Jimtown will struggle to catch up. Concord 28-14 Mishawaka at Penn - This one is going to be close. Mishawaka 21- Penn 14 Adams at Logansport - Adams best receiver went down in practice. Will see if they can muster up some points this week. Adams 7 Logansport 28 Riley VS Glenn- Not quite sure on this one. Riley beat GW soundly 48-12 and Glenn had to come back in the 4th quarter, against a team whose notable wins were Bishop Noll and South Central. Riley 34- Glenn 7 St. Joseph at South Side - Not much to say on this one. If STJ doesn't blow SS out. STJ will struggle all year. STJ 40 SS 7
  16. Boone Grove at Glenn- . Seems like everyone is anticipating a big year down in Walkerton. Can Grove stop Glenn's winged offense or will its win column be barren week 1?. Grove 17- Glenn 10 Jimtown at NorthWood- Northwood starts the running clock in this one. Panther parents can hit the lake early this weekend. Panthers 48 Jimtown 7 Concord at Elkhart- Can Elkhart find its identity and dominate 6A in the North? Concord keeps it close early. Elkhart 28- Concord 7 Culver Academy at Adams- Two teams scheduling one another hoping for a Win. Adams posted a dismal 1-9 season with just over 100 points scored and 297 allowed. CMA was 2-8 with 129 points scored and 287 allowed. The Clay of the NIC North loses this one 24-10 Bishop Noll at Clay- save your admission fee and buy a scratch off ticket. Noll takes this one easy. 40-6 Lakeland at St. Joseph, Can Downey turn things around this season competing in the North? Big named RB Downey keeping quiet? STJ 34- Lakeland 14 LaVille at Bremen, Laville lost some talent to graduation and Bremen's RB decided not to come back out. Laville finds a way to win this battle of US6. Laville 21 Bremen 14 Marian at Mishawaka- Cavemen take out there cross town rivals 42-21 New Prairie at LaPorte- Cougars look to continue there success this year. While Laporte tries to find some consistency after its coaching controversy. Laporte gets sliced out of the win column 48-14 Penn at Valparaiso- Is the Yeoman era coming to an end? Will Penn open up their offense? Balis runs all over Valpo 34-0 Riley at West Side- Is the Hype real on the South Side? WS loses a 2k yard rusher. Riley loses a large part of its offensive production. This one might be close. Riley moon walks back to South Bend. 36-7 Washington at Hammond Central- Does Wash need a bus just for its coaches? HC air mails the Washington defense. 40-28
  17. I’m sure Mishawka would appreciate your patronage on their network.
  18. Penn is solid north of Kokomo. They played a young Valpo team. Time will tell. St. Joe played Lakeland. Hard to gauge how good they are. Defense allowing 17 to them would give me cause for concern. Elkhart like Penn will compete North of Kokomo.
  19. Concord at Jimtown- Two teams that struggled in their openers. I think Jimtown chips away at concord and wins a close one. Fairfield at Adams- I’m going to go with a guess here. Glenn at Riley -conference match up. Glenn has taken the last two contests. Both teams having solid outings. Going to give this one to the Cats Marian at Culver Academy- CMA takes this one. Knights are lacking Atkinsons home run ability on offense. New Prairie at Goshen- NP rolls through this game fairly easy Northridge at Elkhart,- hard to gauge Northridge, but I’m giving this one to the lions by 3 scores Penn at Portage- Balis looked good running the ball. Penn takes this one by 2 scores Clay at Twin Lakes- ahhhhh…where is Twin Lakes lol St. Joseph at Mishawaka- Cavemen by 2 scores Washington at Bremen- This is my toss up game. Two struggling teams this season. Going to guess Bremen by 7
  20. Fumbled on the 1 going into the endzone. Apparently had a few more opportunities
