No offense to MC, but what is HH doing? This is a lose/lose for them. They are the second largest school on the East side of the Hoosier Conference and might be the second or third largest overall in the entire Hoosier. This is not preparing them for conference play. On the flip side, this is a good add for MC.
All I know is we needed a game 1 after Blackford dropped us. We scrimmaged HH last summer and have a lot of respect for them. They really did us a huge favor by agreeing to this game, we were at the end of our options for a reasonable game 1.

good luck!
Thanks! It's tough finding games when your conference only has 4 teams that play football, but I think we got a good one here.

Monroe Central will be traveling to 3A Hamilton Heights week 1 of the 2020 season replacing Blackford.

Ryan Kerrigan - Muncie Central
A classmate of mine. Fine man, wonderful family.

I think if the Jones kid (frosh) commits himself to the weightroom, he could be a player.
Gonna give away all of our secrets! lol
Really though he's a great kid that definitely is all in. Bright future.

How will Monroe Central be? I know they'll have Ullom for 2 more years, but I was thinking that a lot of their interior guys were seniors. It seems like MC always have plenty of size.
We will return 10 on offense and most of our defense. A good freshman group coming in should bolster our depth. We added a 3A week 1 opponent adding to an already tough schedule with the likes of Adams Central, South Adams, Eastern Hancock, and Shenandoah. I'm excited to continue to grow our program.

The top 12 to end the year in no particular order were; Lutheran, LCC, South Adams, Adams Central, Southwood, North Vermilion, Parke Heritage, West Washington, Busco, Monroe Central, Sheridan, Traders Point.
I see mostly the same cast of characters being around. Are North Decatur, Attica, Milan, going to be players in the future? Those are schools I don't know much about save North Decatur which dropped us last year. Who else am I missing??

Public School can also accept out of boundary students if Family pays tuition. Most Public schools are open I believe.
So is it really an advantage?
Open enrollment changed the game, right on the money @Coach Nowlin
Really the only (non location) advantage a private school COULD possibly have anymore is if the church affiliated with the school were helping them out behind the scenes....BUT this doesn't really happen. Especially in this day and age, nothing is a secret. Even if they wanted to "cheat" or "have advantages" or whatever you wanna whine about, it wouldn't go unnoticed.
The fact is people don't like watching the Yankees, win the title. It can feel a little like that when you see an LCC or a Chatard win again. But constantly accusing them of cheating is just robbing the kids of the credit they deserve. Football is still played on the same field with the same rules.

Eastbrook up 20-7 at the half
-
East Noble scores. 17-10 Bricks
-
If you tune into the Eastbrook/Andrean game you can hear the broadcast pipes of a certain @Coach Nowlin retirement gig someday?
Hobart 17- East Noble 7
-
Hobart goes up 17-0. Total domination so far.
-
Eastbrook scoop and score. Panthers up 14-7 over Andrean
-
My goodness Hobart's defense is nasty 10-0 Bricks after a blocked punt gives them a short field.

Seeding the sectionals is one thing. That's a little easier than trying to rank all football playing schools 1-317 and then divide it up based on that. I typically don't put much trust in the sags. They're a nice discussion topic but don't do much for predictions in the tournament.
-
James Arnold, South Adams. Threw for over 3,000 yards and 43 TD's. Could drop a penny in a coke can from 40 yards away.

Rank all teams 1-317
How would we do this? And for those that say Sags....IMO If we use sags programs would run up the scores to increase their computer ranks, which would be counter intuitive to the whole idea of ranking for "competitive balance" which doesn't really exist in any amateur sport. Maybe ranking the top 10 teams isn't so hard but who wants to sit around and try to split hairs between teams 250-300?

You mean we'd get a bye week in the tournament in that case? Sign me up LOL
welll...I suppose we wouldn't be in 1A anymore if that were the case. But it's nice that someone on here besides Coach Nowlin, Foxbat, and Basement Bias is actually talking about small school football. Makes a 1A-er's heart warm 😂

Awe Shucks fellas.
I just turned 40, I am pretty well land locked in Crown Point and I do love my Bombers. I do not need a fancy title at this point me my life, but you never know what shakes down the future lane. I would take our offense to any school 6a on down who are not afraid to run the ball 85% of the time for a high success rate.
85%.....feels a little low coach. lol

Jordan McCaslin at Shenandoah. He's done a great job keeping that program a winning one. Always a pain in the butt to play and a good man.

I'm generally familiar with both teams, but interested in hearing from those who know them intimately, what would AC need to do reverse the outcome of the SA-AC meeting from earlier in the season?
AC needs to drain the clock offensively, get to the SA QB over and over (which no one has done) and have the benefit of a terrible weather night....then after that they'd need lighting to strike the field, Medusa to turn them to stone, and a Hurricane named Ditka.
AC and SA are great football teams, South Adam's combination of size, speed, and DEPTH, is almost overwhelming. The Mosser's at AC are fantastic coaches and will have their best ready for the Starfires. Should be a slobberknocker.

I had an opportunity to visit the Carmel High School "Freshman Center" this past weekend. What a monument to government spending and excess. I'm sure the overtaxed residents of Carmel/Clay township are proud of their boondoggle. Did you know at the "Freshman Center" cafeteria you can purchase sushi for lunch?
Those California crab rolls are to die for. A calorie paradise though.
