  1. Covington @ SV- Covington is struggling.. i heard there running back is out but not sure how big of a factor that plays. The Falcons played the Cats a lot closer than I thought it would be. Miller is going to get another conference win under his belt. I'll take the Jr Visors by two scores. FC @ Attica- Congrats to Coach Earl and staff on their first win, very well deserved. Does anyone know when Foxworthy will be back? They won't need him this week but there are some more winnable games on the schedule for the Mustangs when they get him back. Hats off to Attica, they are doing what they can. I'll take the Earl's by 3 scores. North Vermillion @ RP- North Vermillion put up a fight against SV, it looked like they moved the ball well on them. I think Crum has things going in the right direction he just doesn't have enough dudes yet. Hinche is going to be good, he throws the ball well and is a big running QB. I thought the Pats would put up a little bit more of a fight against the Panthers. Are the Panthers going to running clock everyone in the WRC? Tenderloins JV plays the second half. The Woofs @ Seeger- The woofs have proven some points and have won some games. I think this game is the game for second place in the conference. I think Seeger is going to avenge their loss from last week and take it out on the 2nd best team in Parke County. Seeger is good, Salts throws the ball well and they have some really good athletes on the edge. I will say the Pats are going to win out their conference schedule. I'll take Seeger by two scores.
  2. Covington @ FC- Coach Earl is going to get his first win this week. Not sure what happened last week against the Falcons but it definitely surprised me. I think FC is doing the right things, just not sure what they are going to be able to do without Foxworthy. Hopefully he will be back to finish his conference run because there are some more winnable games on the schedule for FC. Give me the Mustangs by a score. PH @ Attica- PH might be the real deal and may give the Panthers a run for their money for first place in the conference. I think the week 8 match up between the Woofs and the Loins is going to be the game of the year in the WRC. Attica is still on the struggle bus. The Rox by as many as they want. RP @ Seeger- The Panthers had some slow starts this year but it seems like they can flip that switch whenever they want to. Saw the stats from Friday night and it looked like the Lesniak kid was back and getting some carries. Not sure who #2 is for the Panthers but he's only a sophomore and going to be a stud. RP is better than Seeger up front but with Seeger having athletes and slinging the ball around I think this could be a good game. Give me the Panthers by a score. SV @ NV- NV pulled off the the upset last week, I think everyone in this thread thought that Covington would win that. SV lost a heartbreaker Friday that could have been won with a field goal... I think Hinche is going to do his thing against the Visors defense but the Kittys have too many athletes. Miller and his crew are going to win this game by at least 2 scores.
  3. FC @ RP- The Panthers may be all they are hyped up to be. The defense has given up 12 points in two games against two high ranked opponents. Offensively Billy Bettis may have been on the headset Saturday night calling all of the spread things. Earl is doing the right things at FC just not sure if he has the dudes to do it yet. Foxworthy is going to be a dang good athlete he's just young. I'll take the Panthers with a running clock. NV @ Covington- Man were we all wrong about the Trojans picking up another stat padder. I think this one shocked the whole WRC. NV just doesn't have the kids yet but I think they will get better as the season goes on. Covington will get the best of the Falcons. Give me the Trojans by 3 scores. Seeger @ Attica- Seeger is slinging the ball all over the place and doing exactly want Cronk wanted to do. They did knock the King off of his throne last week in a blow out win. Attica is just not there yet. I think they may have one or two more competitive games this season but that will be it for the Ramblers. Hats of to Coach Dean. Seeger by as many as they want. SV @ PH- This is the game of the week in the WRC. SV has the athletes to compete and they showed that winning the first quarter against Sullivan last week. I just think PH is to much for them to handle. I'll take the Rox winning this one late in the fourth by a score.
  4. Attica @ Tri County- Thought Attica would pull one out last week, I think this is their week to get a non-conference win. Give me the Ramblers. Covington @ Englewoods- If Covington wants to be competitive in the WRC they better beef up their non-conference schedule a bit. This is going to be another stat padding game for the Trojans. Rubbers by as many as they want. FC @ Crawfordsville- Crawfordsville pulled one off against what I thought was a much improved PH team. I don't think FC is better than PH at the moment. Earl may have to wait another week to get his first career win. I'll take the Athenians winning this in a close one. Paris @ NV- NV played a lot better than I thought they would against the TBirds. I don't think they have what it takes to get a win this week. Paris is a decent program, gimme the Tigers. Seeger @ Herbs- Although Herb is a HOF coach I think his alma mater gets the best of him this week. Not sure the Bison are going to out last the Patriots this time. SV @ Sullivan- Golden arrows by as many as they want WV @ PH- PH lost a close one last week. Crabtree is a great coach that has already planned for this offense. I think Crabtree will have the Viks ready to roll in Rockvllle. I'm taking the Vikings in another close one. Riverton Parkes @ Tri- This is another good non-conference game for the Panthers. Some polls have Tri in the top 10 and others within the top 15. Heard the running back over there is a stud. Was last week a fluke for the Panthers or are they really what they think they are? Guess we will find out this week. I'll take the Tenderloins winning a close one.
  5. Well, well, well... We are back again. I think there is one for sure favorite in the conference but think there are 2-3 teams that can compete for 2nd place. Everyone will be chasing the Panthers but believe Seeger, PH, and FC can make some noise for that second place spot. Attica @ Faith Christian- Coach Dean is doing what he can at Attica and he is bound for some success this year. I think Attica can get a win early this year. I'll take the Ramblers winning this one. Carroll @ Seeger- Seeger has the skilled positions to be really good but do they have the guys upfront? I know they graduated a lot of those guys last year. I think Seeger is right up there to be battling for 2nd place in the WRC. Covington @ Tri County- Coach Wheeler is doing the right things at Covington he just hasn't had the guys to do it. I think the Trojans will start the season 1-0. Crawfordsville @ Woofs- The woofs are much improved from last year. I think they are another team that can compete for 2nd in the conference as well. Not sure what Crawfordsville has going on but I am going to take the woofs to win the season opener. North Central @ North Vermillion- North Central as some athletes and North Vermillion is still a few years out from winning some games. TBirds will start their season 1-0. RP @ Linton- Do the tenderloins have what it takes to win a big game? Some may say they haven't done it yet. Or in the wise words of Billy Bettis they are a one trick pony. Will Coach Oliver have what it takes to stop their run game? I think this may be the game of the week and game of the year until the late post season. I will take RP scratching one out over the Miners. Southmont @ FC- Do the Earls have what it takes to fill the shoes of Herb? I don't think FC is going to have a year like they did last year. With the QB out and them losing most of their lineman last year they may struggle in some games. I did hear they had a kid transfer out and then come back. I don't think they have what it takes to beat the Mounties. West Vigo @ SV- Does Crabtree carry his hatred for SV with him? SV has some decent athletes they are still just a few years out from being a good football team. I don't know much about the Vikings this year... I will take the Viks over the Visors.
  6. Well as previously stated, Mr. Prince said that the Herbster was coaching D1 athletes at FC. You mentioned that he produced a coach that is coaching D1, agreeing with the Prince that he has produced some sort of D1 talent. The Rockville water may be getting to you sir.
  7. Might be the only D1 thing going for him...
  8. The only thing big about the Woofs is the visor Mr. Bettis wears on his head...
  9. Covington @ Attica- Covington is starting to get healthy and I think they can give some of the team in the sectional a run for their money. Attica is getting better they just aren't there. I think this game will be close at the beginning. Covington 35 Attica 12 North Vermillion @ FC- Herb and his crew will handle this one easily. North Vermilion is on the struggle bus. They did hang around for a quarter against PH last week. FC will be playing their JV at the end of the 3rd quarter. FC 54 NV 0 Visors @ Seeger- Ever since the loss to RP Seeger has ran through everyone else. South Vermillion is still young. Seeger will also be playing their JV by the end of the 3rd quarter. Seeger 60 SV 7 #8 Panthers @ #10 Woofs- This is a battle of two top 10 teams in 1A. Still not understanding how the Panthers have remained at 8th and the Woofs are at 10... The only competition the Woofs have played was Seeger.. We all know how that went, not many fireworks that night. This game is getting a lot of hype but I think the Panthers come in and take care of business and win by whatever they want. RP 63 Woofs 12
  10. Attica @ RP- Coach Dean got himself another conference win last week. Props to the Ramblers for what they are trying to do up there. Things are going in the right direction they just lack the kids to do what they need to do. RP is rolling everyone as they cruise to their shot at a conference title. Starters will be out by halftime. RP 54 Attica 0 Covington @ Seeger- Huge win for the Patriots last week over the controversial Hall of Fame coach. I thought going into this one that Herb and his crew would put up more of a fight. Seeger defense won them the game by picking Foxworthy off 3 times. Seeger will roll the rest of the way and look at trying to make it out of their sectional. Covington has shown some bright spots but I don't think it is enough to keep up with the Patriots. Seeger 54 Covington 12 FC @ SV- Herb will bounce back and get a win this week. His next test will be playing the Woofs. SV is just young and plays a lot of underclassmen. After what the Panthers did to them last week I am not sure if they can bounce back until they play Attica. Injured or not injured FC will beat the young Wildcats. FC 34 SV 13 Woofs @ NV- The Woofs are up there battling it out for second place in the conference. The only test they will have is when they play Herb and his golden mustangs. Crabtree and the Falcons are struggling with numbers. There are plenty of athletes up at NV just not sure why they are not playing football. I did heard that Crabtree sat some of his dudes last week due to discipline reasons. Hats off to him for doing the right thing win or lose. I think NV will put up a fight but it just won't be enough. Woofs 35 NV 6
  11. How are we in week 6 already?.. Looks like there is a clear cut favorite to win the conference and possibly make a deep run in the state tournament. North Vermillion @ Attica- I think this is a week that Coach Dean gets his second win of the year. From what I seen the Falcons played the Panthers physical last week they just didn't have the dudes to keep up. I think that this will be either a defensive battle or an offensive shootout. Attica 20 NV 12 The Woofs @ The Trojans- PH got a little snap back to reality last week against Seeger with their only points coming off of a safety. I knew it wouldn't be long before their "magical run" would be over. The Trojans are winning some games. Coach Wheeler has those dudes playing hard and they are getting in a groove. I think Covington plays harder than PH and will out physical them in this game. Trojans 30 Woofs 12 Seeger @ FC- Game of the week. This is going to be the battle to determine who comes in second and third in the conference. Seeger has a lot more athletes than FC does but after seeing FC play the Panthers in week 1 of conference play I think they are better up front. Is Foxworthy back? If so @ThePrince is going to take FC by 60+. I think this is going to be a close game but I am going to take Herb and his crew. FC 34 Seeger 22 SV @ The Panthers- Not sure how the Panthers only scored 48 points on the Falcons... maybe they play their young guys early. This is an old school rivalry that has a lot of tension between the two schools. Not sure of Coach Miller and the Mildcats have what it takes to beat the Panthers. Coach Sanders will have the Panthers ready to roll for this Wabash River Rivalry. RP 63 SV 12
  12. Attica @ Fountain Central- Although FC is banged up, the pulled one out last week against Covington. FC is the second best team in the conference. I still am going to tip my hat to Coach Dean at Attica for doing what he does. I believe Attica may win a few more WRC games this year. FC is just to big and to physical up front. FC 49 Attica 6 RP @ NV- Last season the Panthers and the Falcons battled it out in two hard fought games. I don't think this will be the case this year. NV is on the struggle bus. RP will win out and win the WRC without a question. With the bad blood between RP and NV I believe the Panthers will rush and score how ever much they want in this game. Panthers 50+ Seeger @ Woofs- I don't think the hype train for the woofs is all that.. They haven't played anyone in the conference yet and seem to struggle a bit with the Ramblers last week. I think Seeger has more athletes than the Woofs do and will take care of business. The Woofs won't go down without a fight though... Seeger 34 Woofs 12 SV @ Covington- Can we still call SV the visors? Although Coach B left the visor tradition still holds true.. SV struggled at times last week against NV. Covington is also banged up. I am not sure whether this game will go into OT because it is 0-0 or 42-42... Visors 14 Rubbers 6
  13. 0-3 FC, point proven or were they unhealthy week 1 and week 2?
  14. @ThePrince must be THE KINGS heir.. seems like the only valid reason for sticking up for him
  15. Correct me if I'm wrong.. I think he has a losing record at Fountain Central...
