Wabash River Conference Sectional Thread
Richard C replied to Donnie Baker's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Well as previously stated, Mr. Prince said that the Herbster was coaching D1 athletes at FC. You mentioned that he produced a coach that is coaching D1, agreeing with the Prince that he has produced some sort of D1 talent. The Rockville water may be getting to you sir. -

Wabash River Conference Week 8

Covington @ Attica- Covington is starting to get healthy and I think they can give some of the team in the sectional a run for their money. Attica is getting better they just aren't there. I think this game will be close at the beginning. Covington 35 Attica 12 North Vermillion @ FC- Herb and his crew will handle this one easily. North Vermilion is on the struggle bus. They did hang around for a quarter against PH last week. FC will be playing their JV at the end of the 3rd quarter. FC 54 NV 0 Visors @ Seeger- Ever since the loss to RP Seeger has ran through everyone else. South Vermillion is still young. Seeger will also be playing their JV by the end of the 3rd quarter. Seeger 60 SV 7 #8 Panthers @ #10 Woofs- This is a battle of two top 10 teams in 1A. Still not understanding how the Panthers have remained at 8th and the Woofs are at 10... The only competition the Woofs have played was Seeger.. We all know how that went, not many fireworks that night. This game is getting a lot of hype but I think the Panthers come in and take care of business and win by whatever they want. RP 63 Woofs 12 -
Wabash River Conference Week 7

Attica @ RP- Coach Dean got himself another conference win last week. Props to the Ramblers for what they are trying to do up there. Things are going in the right direction they just lack the kids to do what they need to do. RP is rolling everyone as they cruise to their shot at a conference title. Starters will be out by halftime. RP 54 Attica 0 Covington @ Seeger- Huge win for the Patriots last week over the controversial Hall of Fame coach. I thought going into this one that Herb and his crew would put up more of a fight. Seeger defense won them the game by picking Foxworthy off 3 times. Seeger will roll the rest of the way and look at trying to make it out of their sectional. Covington has shown some bright spots but I don't think it is enough to keep up with the Patriots. Seeger 54 Covington 12 FC @ SV- Herb will bounce back and get a win this week. His next test will be playing the Woofs. SV is just young and plays a lot of underclassmen. After what the Panthers did to them last week I am not sure if they can bounce back until they play Attica. Injured or not injured FC will beat the young Wildcats. FC 34 SV 13 Woofs @ NV- The Woofs are up there battling it out for second place in the conference. The only test they will have is when they play Herb and his golden mustangs. Crabtree and the Falcons are struggling with numbers. There are plenty of athletes up at NV just not sure why they are not playing football. I did heard that Crabtree sat some of his dudes last week due to discipline reasons. Hats off to him for doing the right thing win or lose. I think NV will put up a fight but it just won't be enough. Woofs 35 NV 6 -
Wabash River Conference Week 6
Richard C replied to Donnie Baker's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
How are we in week 6 already?.. Looks like there is a clear cut favorite to win the conference and possibly make a deep run in the state tournament. North Vermillion @ Attica- I think this is a week that Coach Dean gets his second win of the year. From what I seen the Falcons played the Panthers physical last week they just didn't have the dudes to keep up. I think that this will be either a defensive battle or an offensive shootout. Attica 20 NV 12 The Woofs @ The Trojans- PH got a little snap back to reality last week against Seeger with their only points coming off of a safety. I knew it wouldn't be long before their "magical run" would be over. The Trojans are winning some games. Coach Wheeler has those dudes playing hard and they are getting in a groove. I think Covington plays harder than PH and will out physical them in this game. Trojans 30 Woofs 12 Seeger @ FC- Game of the week. This is going to be the battle to determine who comes in second and third in the conference. Seeger has a lot more athletes than FC does but after seeing FC play the Panthers in week 1 of conference play I think they are better up front. Is Foxworthy back? If so @ThePrince is going to take FC by 60+. I think this is going to be a close game but I am going to take Herb and his crew. FC 34 Seeger 22 SV @ The Panthers- Not sure how the Panthers only scored 48 points on the Falcons... maybe they play their young guys early. This is an old school rivalry that has a lot of tension between the two schools. Not sure of Coach Miller and the Mildcats have what it takes to beat the Panthers. Coach Sanders will have the Panthers ready to roll for this Wabash River Rivalry. RP 63 SV 12 -
Wabash River Conference Week 5
Richard C replied to Donnie Baker's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Attica @ Fountain Central- Although FC is banged up, the pulled one out last week against Covington. FC is the second best team in the conference. I still am going to tip my hat to Coach Dean at Attica for doing what he does. I believe Attica may win a few more WRC games this year. FC is just to big and to physical up front. FC 49 Attica 6 RP @ NV- Last season the Panthers and the Falcons battled it out in two hard fought games. I don't think this will be the case this year. NV is on the struggle bus. RP will win out and win the WRC without a question. With the bad blood between RP and NV I believe the Panthers will rush and score how ever much they want in this game. Panthers 50+ Seeger @ Woofs- I don't think the hype train for the woofs is all that.. They haven't played anyone in the conference yet and seem to struggle a bit with the Ramblers last week. I think Seeger has more athletes than the Woofs do and will take care of business. The Woofs won't go down without a fight though... Seeger 34 Woofs 12 SV @ Covington- Can we still call SV the visors? Although Coach B left the visor tradition still holds true.. SV struggled at times last week against NV. Covington is also banged up. I am not sure whether this game will go into OT because it is 0-0 or 42-42... Visors 14 Rubbers 6 -

Not sure who your sources are... but you think the 28 point difference is made up by one player??? Heard the only score they gave up was a blown coverage. Didn't give up many yards after that. -
Wabash River Conference Week 4
Richard C replied to Donnie Baker's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Well, well, well.. We are finally back. Not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed when the page got shutdown. Overall, I think there is one team who is going to steam roll the conference. If they can get past Seeger this week then they will roll through the rest of the conference. Attica @ Woofs- Coach Dean is doing some great things up north, I just don't think he has the athletes to do what he wants to do. But I think he will compete with a few teams in the WRC this year. The Woofs are coming off of two wins against two really bad teams. I think the Woofs will start conference play 2-0 this week. Woofs 35 Attica 6 Herbs @ The Trojans- Herb and team played the Panthers tough last week. The Mustangs just couldn't hold their own against the Panthers size and strength. But I also heard that Foxworthy is hurt as well as a few others banged up. The Trojans wins have came against some really really bad teams. I think this week Herbie and the Mustangs take it to the Trojans. FC 35 Covington 12 North Vermillion @ South Vermillion- Not sure if I have many words for this game. Heard the Falcons finished with 13 players last Friday.. SV has played some bad teams.. This one will either be an offensive shootout or a defensive battle.. SV ? NV ? Seeger @ RP- From what I heard RP has whipped it out and ran on all of their opponents. I also heard that they are spreading it out and throwing the ball a little bit... Seeger is undefeated as well coming into this contest but they again have played some not so good teams... RP handled them last year and I think it is still in the back of their heads. If RP plays like they have been they will handle business and then begin their road to the WRC Title. RP 35 Seeger 14 -
Wabash River Conference 2025 Outlook
Richard C replied to Donnie Baker's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Football season can't get here soon enough.. Excited to see what the WRC has to offer this year. Although I believe those who finished at the bottom last year will finish there again but it is going to be interesting this season. I am going to go ahead an throw my predictions out there for the conference race 1.) Fountain Central- If Herb can win this conference this year I think he will ride off into the sunset on his golden pony. 2.) North Vermillion/Riverton Parke- This is a toss up. The tenderloins have to replace Goff and Price in the backfield and I'm not sure if they can do that. Surely someone has found a way to stop that double wing offense. With that being said having Crabtree back at the helm of NV I think they can be just as competitive as they were last year under the lead of ARod. Crabtree always finds a way to win games. 3.) Seeger- Coach Ragan will have his guys ready. I believe that they will be better than last year. They will be more experienced and be right up there with the top dogs this year. 4.) South Vermillion- Coach Miller is young but he is no Gregg Barrett... I heard that SV isn't returning a single yard of offense from last year. I believe they will compete but it will be a struggle for Coach Miller. Can he fill the shoes of the Great Gregg Barrett? 5.) Covington- Coach Wheeler had an impressive season last year. But losing Moore and his other seniors I don't think they will be as competitive as they were last year. I'll be curious to see if Coach Wheeler will have his guys ready. 6.) Attica- Coach Dean has the Ramblers looking better than they have in the previous years. I also heard they have been winning a few games in some other sports. I think they will be better than last year. We will see what's in store for the Ramblers this year. 7.) Parke Heritage- Coach Rector had a rough stretch last year. The two beatings they took to RP within two weeks was a rough stretch for them... Going to be hard for them to bounce back. I think it is a toss up between the Woofs and the Ramblers for last place in the conference this year... I wish the best for them If you think any different I will tell you you're wrong, I swear to god I will.
