And here I thought the only people that complained about driving too far were the Evansville folks.

I would drive anywhere for varsity but not making those long trips on work nights  for JV games ,, I'm fine with the one trip to Mount Vernon but several long trips on work nights wont happen ...Plus losing Southridge it wouldn't even be a improved schedule.

  2. Tell City Marksmen 16-4 ( 5-1 PAC) at Heritage Hills Patriots 19-1 ( 7-0 PAC )

This is the 54th meeting between Heritage Hills and Tell City and the Patriots lead the series 33-20. Patriots come in averaging 69.9 ppg and giving up 47.6 ppg while the Marksmen come in averaging 56.2 ppg and giving up 41.6 ppg.

In the February 5th AP poll Heritage Hills was rated 4th in 3A and Tell City 17th in 2A and Sagarin has Heritage Hills rated 31st in the state regardless of class and Tell City rated 97th in state regardless of class. Sagarin also has Heritage Hills schedule rated 194th in the state and Tell City schedule rated 182nd in the state. One note Sagarin doesn't count out of state games   so arguably the toughest team HH has faced this season Madison Central Kentucky isn't included in the Sagarin ratings.

Tell City has the number 6 defense in the state in terms of ppg allowed and Heritage Hills has the 50th  defense, Average Margin Heritage Hills is 6th in the state and Tell City 36th and Offense Heritage Hills is 15th in the state.

This game has huge conference implications  in the race for the PAC title. A Heritage Hills win and the Patriots would win their first outright title since the 2002-2003 season and a Tell City win combined with another Tell City win over North Posey the following night would give the Marksmen a share of the PAC title which would be their first in Boys basketball since rejoining the PAC  and 4th overall, Last time Tell City won the PAC title in basketball was the 1952-1953 season they would leave the PAC the following season and didn't return until 2001. Southridge could also get a share of the PAC title with a win at South Spencer  Friday combined with a Tell City won over HH the same night and it would then be either a two-way or 3-way share depending on the result of North Posey at Tell City Saturday night..

  3. After 1 quarter score was HH 20-14, at halftime HH 35-25, After 3 HH 49-38 and final HH 69-55. Patriots clinch share of the PAC title with their 16th straight win and improve to 19-1.

One more note HH was without their best defensive player Cade Jones who was injured at Southridge last week Cade also leads HH in charges taken and 2nd in assists. He needed surgery so not sure if he will return or not but a deep bench  really helps when your a man down.

  8. I was really worried about this game especially after I heard from 3 different people this morning that 2 of our 3 leading scorers were sick this past week but since the big 3 combined for 60 points they must have been just fine.

Heritage Hills finally got that statement road win that the program needed so badly. Anyway to the game.
