I understand most of the time you can buyout a contract. If I remember correctly Princeton had to pay North Posey $300 to get out of a contract so they could play Wood Memorial about 10 years ago.

I think, never been told this, but I think the goal was to honor all current contracts. If situation occurred and it was not possible to honor one or more of these contracts then so be it.

Personally I hate that Tecumseh is staying independent, and personally I wish they would either be in or be out of the conference all together. I don’t like that the PAC is giving them special partial membership.

I see where you're coming from with Tecumseh but at the time they voted to allow it the PAC wanted Forest Park in the conference and doubt they wanted 9 teams in football so at the time it benefited all parties.

The latest reclassifications have Southridge dropping down to 2A in boys basketball. This will leave Sectional 31 with only 5 teams. Sectional 30 to the east has 7 teams so it might be reasonable to assume one of them could be reassigned to Sectional 31. Brownstown Central is the furthest north and west of the core of Sectional 30, so I think the might end up being the team to be reassigned. Also with Southridge out as a host, it looks like Washington, Vincennes, and Princeton might end up rotating as hosts.

A 3 team rotation is unlikely unless they change back to reclassing  every 4 years, Southridge could be back in 3A in the 22-23 classification.

  4. Total guess on my part but since the PSC Holliday Classic is always between Christmas and New Years  and this game is December 29th  which I'm guessing is the final  day of PSC games that PSC will have to find a replacement for the 3 time defending champs.

2 Trips to Newcastle in 2019 to watch Heritage Hills play only this time I'm getting a motel and maybe travel to the Football Hall Of Fame between morning and evening sessions.

    Heritage Hills

Heritage Hills should be loaded with mostly Senior starters. This class went 7-1 in 7th grade, 7-0 in 8th grade, 8-0 as freshman , As sophomores  with 4 or 5 of them playing varsity the JV was 5-1-1 and with most of them varsity last season the varsity went 10-1.

That said if we want to make a post season run must be able to pass the ball more, last season HH ran the ball 474 times and only threw 66 passes, You wont make a post season run passing 12% of the time 3A is too tough to be one dimensional  .

Don't get me wrong love the Flexbone but  personally feel we need to pass at least 30% of the time to keep defenses honest.

  6. Evansville Bosse Powel and Heritage Hills Becher who were rivals in sectional are the only 2 Evansville area players to be selected and both on the blue group  who will play against the KY Junior all stars at KY.

Team has a Core 6 and 3 more groups of 6 the Core plays in 3 games and other 3 play in just 1 game so sounds like 12 dress for each game.

  7. For the Unofficial Heritage Hills website I started in 2002 I use a  shareware program Arachnophillia  to write my pages and a paid version of WS-FTP Pro to upload my files. It use to be hosted by my internet provider but a couple of years back they ended public web space so I was left to either end the site or move everything and I chose to end it but Chris Johannes and Jon Goldsberry stepped up and moved all my files to the Heritage Hills Quarterback Club website and my site survived with their help.

I'm far from a expert started my page with HTML dictionary and copy and paste everything. Been updating that site over 15 years and still only know very basic HTML.

Both teams should be outstanding next year. Move in players have really helped Bosse the last 2 two years. Ware last year was the difference in the sectionals and Sanford was huge late last night. Already looking forward to this matchup again.

Wish Jones could have played more  would have been nice to have him Face Guarding Sanford all night like he did to other teams best guards before his injury. Never scored but best  defensive player we had by far.

  10. Evansville Bosse Bulldogs 16-7 VS. Heritage Hills Patriots 22-1 3A Boonville sectional 1st Round
Heritage Hills was ranked 4th in the Feburary 19th 3A poll and the Patriots come in averaging 68.7 ppg and giving up 47.3 ppg, The Bulldogs average 67.8 ppg and giving up 59.4 ppg.

Sagarin has Heritage Hills rated 30th in the state and 6th in 3A, Bulldogs are rated 46th in the state by Sagarin and 9th in 3A. Sagarin has the Bosse schedule rated 85th in the state and the Heritage Hills schedule rated 195th in the state
Note: Bosse has 2 games and Heritage Hills 1 game against out of state opponents that are not included in Sagarin ratings.

Both Sagarin and John Harrells computer rankings has this game too close to call, Sagarin has Heritage Hills favoried by 3.78 points and John Harrell has it Heritage Hills 63 Bosse 59.

As a Heritage Hills fan one of the things that scares me the most about Bosse is the fact they have 5 players averaging in double figures and all around 10 to 11 ppg making it impossible to key in on one or 2 big scorers like is the case in most games.

Top 7 scorers and a few stats for each team.
HH stats are through 23 games, Bosse stats are through 22 games stats for the Bosse / Reitz game were not updated at the time I typed this.

    Bosse Team shooting percentages
    2 point percentage 478 out of 920 for 52%
    3 point percentage 108 out of 318 for 34%
Free throw percentage 202 out of 327 for 62%
    Heritage Hills team shooting percentages.
    2 point percentage 473 out of 796 for 59%
    3 point percentage 134 out of 362 for 37%
Free throw percentage 232 out of 338 for 69%

Both teams get a ton of steals Heritage Hills has 226 through 23 games and Bosse had 210 through 22 games.
Bosse also gets a ton of blocks with 207 through 22 games, HH had 41 in 23 games.

  11. PAC teams have been hearing the schedule arguments forever. From 2000-2007 Heritage Hills won  7 sectionals, 7 regionals, 2 semi states and 1 state title and in the 8 year period we had regular season wins over the  2001 4A state champ Jasper, 2002 2A state runner-up Southridge, 2005 2A state runner-up North Posey and 2007 2A state runner up Southridge yet we still heard that schedule argument over and over .

This particular proposal is only for football and won’t effect anything with the other sports.  I assume the Big 8 will stay intact for the other sports and will have to look for a replacement for Mt. Carmel in all of the other sports schedules.

If this passes  since Mount Carmel only has to leave because of Illinois adding districts if the Big 8 was ok they could stay in the Big 8 if they wanted to because most of their football schedule will be filled with district opponents they might not need a conference for football.

Personally I don't understand the football only thing if your going to do this just move GS and HH in the Big 8, Add Tecumseh back into the PAC and try to steal Perry Central from the PLAC to get the PAC back to 8 teams.

  13. Heritage Hills at Princeton

After 1 quarter score was Heritage Hills 12 Princeton 9, At halftime it was Heritage Hills 26 Princeton 17, After 3 quarters Heritage Hills 40 Princeton 33 and final Heritage Hills 58 Princeton 45. Princeton made a run in the 3rd quarter and had the lead down to 1 point, Cole Sigler hit a 3 pointer with around 5 seconds left then HH stole the inbounds pass and Blake Sisley hit a leaning 3 pointer to push the lead to 7 after 3.

Last season Heritage Hills only lost 1 home game and it was on Senior night at the hands of Princeton so it was nice returning the favor this season, Princeton was unbeaten at home but it wasn't the Tigers Senior Night they have one home game left Friday against Day School.

Heritage Hills increased their winning streak to 18 games which is a new program record for Most Consecutive Wins . Also Heritage Hills tied the school record for most wins with their 21st win. The 88-89 and 96-97 teams also won 21 games but that was when we had a 20 game schedule both those teams went 18-2 in the regular season and won their 21st in the championship game of sectional.

  14. Heritage Hills 20-1 at Princeton 17-4
This is the 34th meeting between the Princeton Tigers and Heritage Hills Patriots and the Tigers lead the series 21-12.

Heritage Hills was ranked 4th in the 3A Feb 12th AP poll and the Tigers were ranked 14th. Sagarin has Heritage Hills 6th in 3A and 31st in the state and Sagarin has Princeton 14th in 3A and 61st in the state. Sagarin has Princeton rated the 187th strongest schedule in the state and Heritage Hills the 192nd toughest schedule.

Against common opponents the Patriots and Tigers both have a 10-1 record and both lost to the same team Washington, Patriots were defeated 74-57 and the Tigers defeated 72-58 and both losses were at the Hatchet House.

Patriots are averaging 69.2 ppg and giving up 47.9 ppg and Tigers are averaging 66.0 ppg and giving up 51.0 ppg.

Both teams are undefeated at home this season,Last season Heritage Hills suffered their only home loss of the season when Princeton visted HH on Senior night and this season the Tigers are the team trying to defend a home unbeaten record However the Tigers still have a home meeting with Evansville Day the following Friday.

MaxPreps didn't have Princetons game with Barr-Reeve updated so I added the points from that game to the listed numbers from that game to figure the Tigers leading scorers. Carey wasn't listed as scoring in that game and watching the stream couldn't tell if he played or not so used 21 games for his average if he missed  that game is average would be 9.0

    Heritage Hills leading scorers.
    Becher 20.7
    Scherry 15.8
    Sisley 13.3
    Sigler 7.4
    Begle 4.6

  15. Tell City at Heritage Hills

After 1 quarter Tell City led 16-11, At halftime Heritage Hills led 22-20, After 3 Heritage Hills led 38-26 and final Heritage Hills 60 Tell City 50.

First outright PAC title for Heritage Hills Basketball since the 2002-2003 season .Its Heritage Hills league leading 16th PAC title, Southridge has the 2nd most with 14 Boys basketball PAC titles.

    ...

With the win the Patriots tie the program record for consecutive wins with their 17th straight win, The 1988-89 team that had a starting lineup of Ken Dilger, Matt Sisley, Steve Schaefer, John Wetzel & Klint Arnold also won 17 straight, That streak ended in a regional loss at Roberts Stadium.

This is Heritage Hills 4th straight win over that talented group of Seniors from Tell City, Last win by Tell City was when the Marksmen Seniors were freshman and most of the HH starters were dominating middle school.

Simon Scherry followed up his 12 point, 10 assist, 7 rebound, 6 steals, 3 blocks and 0 turnovers game with a career high 28 points tonight. He had 6 at halftime but scored all 16 of Heritage Hills 3rd quarter points.

    Heritage Hills scoring
    Scherry career high 28
    Becher 15
    Sisley 13
    Begle 4
    Tell City scoring
    Beard 22
    Arnold 15
    Fest 8
    Blake 5

    Patriots improve to 20-1

HH JV loses 41-22 and falls to 16-3, It was the JVs first home loss. Heritage Hills JV had beaten Tell City 43-27 earlier this season in the Forest Park JV tournament so it was quite a turn around for the Tell City JV.
