Silver Creek isn't going any higher than 4A (if they stay there), Ctown may get to 4A some day; but the approved development ration between Charlestown and Sellersburg is currently 6:1. Ctown has approved over 3k new units over the next three years. Plus, the number of parents bitching about the headache of Sellersburg school traffic every morning continues to grow, while they basically remodel the existing school instead of building a new like needed. Not hating, just saying. Wish them well, but they are behind the curve for the next decade.
You're not wrong. The current location of the school is a complete train wreck right on a narrow HWY 31. The fact that all those new developments are going in along 403, which runs right into 31 in front of the school, makes it 10 times worse. They should've found a new spot to put the school. That or convince the county and town to completely redesign 31/403. Don't get me wrong, their new facilities will be top notch, but it won't be built to withstand the amount of potential students they could have.

Does anyone think I don’t have a right to be mad? Floyd Central blew a Sectional 2 years ago. Started 0-5 last season. They’re at 1-3 right now. They get creamed by Louisville schools every season. Haven’t beaten East since George Bush’s first term. I can’t think of one good thing that program is doing right now? They sure don’t have much trouble in all the other sports.
Coach Hess said most of it pretty well, but get over yourself, man. It's high school sports. Not college or pro. Stop making it like it's a big deal. To most people who don't play, coach or aren't parents, it's really not. You have no reason to be "mad." They're high school kids. They have a lot more on their mind that football. Leave them alone and the guys who are trying to help mold them. Stop coming on here after every loss and complaining. It is what it is.

Kinda shocked you guys are taking My Vernon, it’s MV Posey isn’t it?
Yes. MV beat them last year 35-13. MV does have to travel to Jeff this year, so that could impact it some since it is a haul. But Jeff has struggled so I think it's certainly possible.

Bit of a haul from English to Westport.
For sure. I think Crawford's coach used to be the head coach at SD, so that is probably how it got arranged.

I left the area for some time and don’t know how transfers work. Had family at FC/NA/Jeff back in the early and late 90’s.
Kid from NA seems legit and hope he succeedswas just wondering what the new transfer rules are?
FC seems to be playing a early heavy schedule… which can help or hurt. Looks like hurt them this year from the injury report that I’m hearing from my buddies back home They seem to be in a conundrum that lower level schools don’t want to play them so they have to fill with bigger schools. Just trying to get a understandable why playing the big Louisville teams help this early in the season. Heard FC drops Male and Manual next year but picks up St. X next year for opening night. Does that help or hurt program?
Thoughts?
They would have had to move to this side of the river. If they relocated, then the transfer would have been approved. Students from out of state are not allowed to attend Indiana public schools even if they're not an athlete.

Forgive my lack of knowledge of the school districts down there. Is that in Silver Creek’s district? I remember there being a districting issue down there but I don’t remember all the details.
Yes, all of that is. From the Clark/Floyd line all the way west to the 111/60 intersection and east to the 403/Salem Noble Road intersection. Just north of Memphis for the northern border. The whole area is absolutely booming with development as Sparks said. To the west is Borden, north is Henryville and east is Charlestown. Borden and Henryville used to be a part of their district, but are now a combined district separate from Creek.

I believe if I’m not mistaken FC was originally in the MSC. They were a smaller county school back then.
FC was an independent from 67-69, then was a member of the MSC from 70-75. They've been in the HHC since.

So why did they keep the contract? Did Bell County play Friday?
Yes, Bell County beat North Laurel 42-35. I had heard a while back that Jeff needed a new opponent. I guess we still don't know why, but it gave Bell enough time to find another opponent.

Just saw where Springs Valley and Salem both need a Week 5 game now. Seems like an easy fix for both teams. Looks like Dugger dropped out for Valley. Not sure who Salem's opponent was.
That week 5 for Salem was Clarksville. They weren't going to play last year until Clarksville's newly scheduled week 5 couldn't play (I can't remember who it was). Salem was unable to fill it. Seems like a good match to fill an open week with SV.

I think there are lots of close calls this week. It is usually that way at the beginning of the year, but lots of these games could go either way. Good luck to everyone.

I was told no football this year for the Rock Creek HS and Junior High programs.
You hate that for the program, but it also really puts a lot of teams in a pinch at the last minute. I hope the teams are able to fill their open weeks. I did see at least Clarksville was able to fill their open date with Greenwood Christian. Salem has week 5 open and now so does South Decatur. Maybe that could work out.

Thanks, Coach May. That is an overwhelming amount of support from all of the people who should be the most important in the decision making process when it comes to this stuff. How the IHSAA is unable to recognize this is quite unfortunate.
