Thank you.
Are moderators voting members of GID brain trust? Or only the five administrators, one of whom according that page has yet to login to the new GID?
Actually, Voting By Laws that have been established by the "brain trust" are so well hidden that I am not sure I can resurrect them, they are THAT privileged

In the interest of full disclosure, who exactly are the "we" you are referring to? Who currently makes up the GID brain trust?

just so everyone is clear
1) Not looking into this in any capacity
2) We are not sending out distress calls on the financial end of the site
This is just 1 member high horse he continues to ride, when we let him ride in our community

I wonder what Notre Dame and Ohio State are thinking? Along with the other big Midwest schools like Michigan, Wisconsin, Kentucky...Missouri.
Considering he will be a national recruit, I would say those school you listed are not focused on QBs who just finished their freshman year. Michigan can wait. So can OSU and Wisconsin.

NO
And considering that truly only 2 people votes actually matter in this made up vision.......
I would say it is pointless to think otherwise.

I know its a big 10 road game, but calling it an IU MUST WIN vs Rutgers just shows you how the last few weeks has been unkind to IU

I will comment as a coach that was at the meeting. The Cass athlete was nominated by his coaches. There are a healthy amount of good players in our region. The particular player did not necessarily stack up in the measurables as well as the other players. He was a kid that got better all season. He was an average player at the beginning of the season and made himself into a better than average player by the end. He received IFCA All State, AP All State, Kokomo Tribune, and All Logan Land. He was also Academic All State and Team Captain. Not a bad senior year. Region All Star would have put the cherry on top for his season.
There were some teams with lesser records that got kids on. It does not mean that they were any less deserving. I cannot try to reason how a 6-4 team gets 3 guys on and a 7-5 none. It sometimes comes down to the number of kids nominated in a position group.
I will also add that this is the first year in 2 years that any Cass coaches went to the meeting. There have been conflicts and miss communication at times that have prevented in coaches attending. This may not sit well with some coaches. I don't know. But there is a responsibility that comes with coaching, and representing your team when you have kids to nominate and when you don't is one of those.
I will say it was disappointing, but it does not define this kid. I talked with him last night, and he was good with it. Like I said, it was going to be the cherry on top. Nothing more.

I think in the fact All-State teams are selected by class, and the Region has No Class. It is all encompassing. So I do understand what your saying, I do not think that argument holds much water.
I have been going to this meeting for longer than these kids we are voting on have been alive. I have had some very deserving kids and managers who did not make this team. It does not take away from their success and accomplishments. He is a heck of a football player I am sure. You do not get those type of accolades if you are not.
This guy knows a thing or two

NCAA has allowed a 10th paid coach, I am sure that is included in the figure:
Other support staff potential but not limited to: Recruiting Department, Social Media department, (those amazing graphics they push out to recruits cost the price of someone doing it) Eron Hodges salary Just a guess

left for dead at 6-5 after crossroads loss to ND, Painter gets the attention of his team through his post game comments, since then, young guys have accepted their role, coaches have shuffled the deck and fine tuned how they are attacking and their All American has started to trust the process more with guys around him. Now 14-6 and one of the hottest teams in America, all starts with defensive effort provided by former walk on now SR Captain Grady Eifert
Been fun to watch and loved going back telling all my Purdue chicken littles now after the fact they should of listened to me when I said trust in Painter and COACHING.

dangers of the 1 and done culture:
Painter hit it on the head in post game presser after IU game
Why should some of the mid tier guys bust hump when they roll out red carpet for Romeo and knowing he is gone in 2 months, is he worth fighting for? That culture worth fighting for? I say yes, but their play says otherwise as it just seems when adversity has set in, the fight as flown away.

The IFCA and the Indianapolis Colts partnered to select the Colts Academic All-State team. These young men were recognized at the Colts game vs. the New York Giants. The 2018 Colts Academic All State team was chosen, and this impressive group will either be Valedictorian or Salutatorian of their 2019 graduating class. All chosen were in the top 3% of their individual graduating classes as well. Congratulations to all! Please see the attached list.

I would imagine they are looking for the best candidate to lead LaPorte HS and are not going to pigeon hole themselves in a certain direction offensively.

I'd bet the highest paid pro athlete out of Luers right now is Purple Nurple's progeny. It'd be nice to have a fundraiser, I'll give a portion. 🙂
I need to send my Many Baseball cards to the Nurple one: See if I can get some 1/1 sigs!!

This is off topic of the thread subject, but I have question:
If live feeds hurt the budget of a school... why don't they decide to NOT offer a live feed? Also, if a school is willing to allow live feeds, they should attempt to recoup money lost from butts in seats with advertisements (I'm sure some are already doing this).
I believe some due charge and that will continue to grow as well.
We only have had MTC sports do our games, but they have been in Lafayette, and they came to Rensselaer once in 2014 or maybe twice, before streams really started to take off. In that year, much like New Pal, we were really good and butts were in seats.

Should he break up with his Girlfriend, but Step Sister 2nd?
QuoteMy girlfriend and I were childhood friends turned high school/college sweethearts. We are both 20 now and have been dating since we were 14. We are both commuter students at the same state college, so we still live at home. The same home. Because our parents are married.
