Northwood has some dudes.  But I wonder if all the showing off they do is a distraction from actually playing football.  From all of the posting on social media, to pointing the first down after every one of them, and then the hanging mouth piece from your WR.

Most coaches wouldn't allow this to go on if you are losing games and I wonder how much control the coaches at Northwood have.  Does the tail wag the dog?

Mishawaka is the best team I have seen in the NLC.  Their QB is the best player in the conference.  We need to beat Goshen this Friday to continue on our overall improvement.

Interesting comments coming from a poster whose team got beat 42-7 by an  uncoached team.

So, if your mad about the NLC not wanting to blow things up, then does the NIC tell the SB schools that they have to go independent or find a new conference? Because that is what I think people are trying to say without saying it.

I don't think you can include Adams in the group.  I feel that with their new AD and numerous good coaches, they will be able to compete  with the big boys in the future.

My understanding is that most schools fund their turf privately but I admittedly don't know the details on many of them.  Penn has had turf for a long time now but I recall them soliciting private donations for it.  Still surprising to me that Luers can't find a way to fund it.  Off the top of my head, I know they have professional football and baseball players that have made pretty good money and I'm sure there are some other wealthy families in the fold.

Even the poor South Bend Schools had a turf field (School Field) privately funded/.

You clearly have never seen the fields at Fort Wayne North, South or Wayne High schools. All are in MUCH worse shape than Luersfield. Spuller Stadium (Snider,Northrop) was bad before the turf and I’ve heard so many bad stories about Arlingtons field down there for Cathedral.

North, South, or Wayne don't have the winning tradition Luers  has.  As stated before most schools with winning tradition have good facilities, but not Luers.

  5. For a school with a  great winning tradition in football, Luers has the worst facilities of any successful programs in the state.  Talking about playing field, press box, concession stand, restrooms. dressing rooms  etc.  Most schools with multiple state championship have just outstanding facilities, except Luers.  I don't blame them for moving to Dwenger.  Any place is better than  Luers.

  6. Yes, there should be concern about Washington, Clay, and Riley but there should be more concern about Adams.  Adams only won 3 games this season against teams that had an overall record of 5-18.  Adams has an enrollment of close to 2,000 students and still can't put a quality team on the field.   Something need to change at Adams.
