  1. Seabe Gavin, Riley Athletic Director , should get NIC "Coach of the Year" for his scheduling for the football team.
  2. Interesting comments coming from a poster whose team got beat 42-7 by an uncoached team.
  3. I guess I mis-understood. To be Mr. Football in Indiana you have to play for a 5A/6A team.
  4. Nitro Tuggle of NorthWood, committed to #1 Georgia, has to be in the discussion. As a receiver he has 36 receptions and 521 receiving yards.
  5. Fact: All NIC football teams will be playing a 7 game conference schedule next year.
  6. I don't think you can include Adams in the group. I feel that with their new AD and numerous good coaches, they will be able to compete with the big boys in the future.
  7. I was fortunate enough to see NorthWood play last night. I have been to a game every Friday night and in my opinion Nitro Tuggle is the best player I have seen this year.
  8. When you run out of topics to discuss, we can always go back to trashing South Bend football. It seems like with the sectionals in full force there would be other topics to discuss.. I guess it more fun to trash someone else rather than discuss our team.
  9. Saint Joseph @ Marian- Both teams having down years. Is this just an off year for both teams or is this a trend for the downward spiral of both programs? Saint Joseph, Marian, Riley, and Adams are all within 2 points on the Sagrin ratings.
  10. Balis(running back), McCullough(QB) and White(receiver) are also offensive threats who can score at anytime.
  11. Saint Joseph and Marian losing to former Northern State Conference teams(Glenn and Bremen). Looks like South Bend schools aren't the only team in a free fall in football.
  12. Wow! Corey must be feeling the heat to schedule this game. What a mis-match.
  13. I guess Ben has spent enough time with his family. Time to get back to Football.
  14. Maybe football is so good in Hispaniuc-Majority schools, but the soccer just keeps getting better.
  15. Are there any remains of the old baseball stadium that are shown in the above picture?
  16. Even the poor South Bend Schools had a turf field (School Field) privately funded/.
  17. North, South, or Wayne don't have the winning tradition Luers has. As stated before most schools with winning tradition have good facilities, but not Luers.
  18. A few kids are making a difference at Marian and New Prairie. You can add LaVille and Glenn also.
  19. OK, Luers field is better than Cathedral and Snider, but not by much.
  20. For a school with a great winning tradition in football, Luers has the worst facilities of any successful programs in the state. Talking about playing field, press box, concession stand, restrooms. dressing rooms etc. Most schools with multiple state championship have just outstanding facilities, except Luers. I don't blame them for moving to Dwenger. Any place is better than Luers.
  21. Yes, there should be concern about Washington, Clay, and Riley but there should be more concern about Adams. Adams only won 3 games this season against teams that had an overall record of 5-18. Adams has an enrollment of close to 2,000 students and still can't put a quality team on the field. Something need to change at Adams.
  22. It's nice Riley informed New Prairie a week in advance, not Friday afternoon like Riley did to Washington.
  23. Kokomo @ South Bend Washington, Saturday @ noon @ School Field. Glad both teams will get a game in.
  24. Do Adams, Marian, New Prairie and Saint Joseph have Freshman and JV teams this year?
  25. Big game this Friday @ Otolski Field between Marian/Penn. The winner of this game is certainly in the driver seat to win the big school division. Was Elkhart just a "one hit wonder" last year
