  1. I do not believe Jasper has gained a yard in the air.
  2. So long as we recover. Int on the Hail Mary. No offense, but Jasper really looks small this year.
  3. Well, that REitz passing game is a thing of beauty.
  4. Jasper fumbles. Reitz scores on the first play. 27-7 Reitz, live from the Bowl
  5. My shot at this. Memorial Castle North MD, although I wouldn’t be surprised to see VL win Reitz
  6. I wouldn’t say the favorite. I would most likely say even. VL exposed the defense a little. Should be a good game. I will be there.
  7. Wow. That Jasper @ Reitz line is surprising to me. I would say even at worst, or blue -1.
  8. Credit where credit is due. VL is legit. Hunt was amazing at times. The play that sticks out to me was when Hunt was running for his life toward your sideline, and threw the sidearm pass on point, but was not completed. The biggest knock I saw on him was he locks on to one receiver, and it led to an interception when he showed the safety where he was throwing and the kid made a play. Good luck to Lincoln the rest of the way. I’ll be paying attention.
  9. Reitz is big and athletic, and most of the defense is juniors. We were missing our starting MLB (Wells), but was preventative. He will be back next week. Lincoln surprised me tonight. Their QB is a solid runner. He was a little shaky on passing, but is adequate to keep defenses honest. Penalties almost cost Reitz tonight (8 personal fouls, 5 encroachment calls on short yardage). Right now, Reitz is their own worst enemy, and if they clean it up between the ears, they could be a force.
  10. 19-18 Reitz. 1:30 left in the half. Anyone who underestimates this Lincoln team better beware.
  11. Mater Dei Jasper Reitz now the tough ones Bosse in a game I think will be quite ugly North by a late score
  12. 4-7 won’t cut it for most of us big blue backers this year. They are bringing back the majority of their starters from last year, and Cory is in his third year at the helm. I expect to see a huge jump this year.
  13. Having made that drive to East Central several times, it is terrible. There really is no straight line to get there from here, and it doesn’t matter which way you go. But their facilities are nice.
  14. I believe best defense will be Reitz just because of the number of returning starters this season. No clue on offense.
  15. QB is all currently rumor and speculation, so as of now, no comment on that (although it seems there is quite a bit of meat on the bone at a rumor going around currently), but O-line should be very solid. No real hits to it as most were also underclassmen (only one senior I believe last year). Two biggest things to watch this season with Reitz is the growth of the defense, and if a freshman will be starting at running back. Not saying it will happen, but the kid is an extremely dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands. You will probably find out about a QB before I do.
  16. You are correct. 8 sophomores either started or saw extensive minutes on the defensive side of the ball including three of the four Defensive backs, and four of six defensive linemen on a rotational basis. Throw in the younger Oxley boy at MLB, there are the 8 I can currently think of.
  17. Majority of their talent this year is in the sophomore class, with 7 or 8 starting on defense, and the 8th grade class this year. Don’t be surprised to see two or three freshman starting for Reitz next year, and I can guarantee that one will be starting, possibly even at quarterback.
  18. Unfortunately, I was unable to make the game due to my work schedule yesterday, but it sounds like they just ran out of gas after tying it up at 28. I could be wrong, but that’s what I believe happen. (I’m sure Jay Smith had between 30 and 40 carries again last night.)
