Another passing TD for the panthers. Missed xp on a bad snap. 20-0, 7:52 left third. -

Reitz is leading Lincoln 14-0 at halftime. Both panther TDs have come via the pass. Defense has been very good tonight, and maybe even more disciplined with Coates out tonight. -

Bosse over Central in a shootout. MD over Castle Reitz over Lincoln Memorial over North Harrison plays hard. They could do it I’ll call it Harrison over Jasper (unlikely to happen) -

Game was 28-7 at halftime, and 42-14 at the end of the third. Harrison scored twice on the JV defense in the fourth quarter, while Reitz scored again. Game was way too choppy and broken up, and really just drug on all evening. As far as the “discipline”, that is a bunch of bulls***, and I know several on here know it. Truth is, this is the same stupid s**t that we saw last year, and the year before, (as Coates was thrown out of the game at the end of the third quarter, so no playing against Lincoln for you) and as much as I hate to say it, if this continues again this season, results be damned, Brunson should be gone. I know I am in the minority on this view, but, I’m sorry, this is not Reitz football. -

In true pick ‘em style, I’ll put this out there. Reitz over Harrison in running clock MD over Central in a game that is closer than it should be. Lincoln over Bosse in high a scoring affair Castle over North fairly handily Jasper over Memorial in the “upset” of the week? (Can you really call a home team winning really am upset?) -

Reitz and MD went ok. Defense will be the Reitz calling card, but offense wasn’t too bad. Reitz has no seniors starting on their offensive line this year, so fairly young up front, but did keep our QB upright most of the scrimmage. On the flip side, MD struggled running the ball all night, and really only connected on one long passing play. Too many times the Reitz edges beat the MD tackles around the corner last night. It could be a very long year for MD no matter who their QB is if they can’t sure up the o-line. -

Just remember that a few years ago, Princeton was in sectional 30 with Brown County, Edgewood, and Sullivan, while Gibson Southern was in 32 with Corydon Central, North Harrison, and Salem. I’m pretty sure that the IHSAA doesn’t worry too much about travel. -

Sectional 30 will be an easy fix with most likely West Vigo sliding up to sectional 29 to replace the team that slides to 28. The question is how much of a cluster will sectional 23 and 24 look like with EC moving up and Memorial moving down. Yes, Chatard will push someone to sectional 23 (most likely), but not a lot of options for 24 -
All I say about the game against Memorial is this. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Reitz can’t blame anyone but themselves for this one. You have over 200 yards in penalties for the game, you won’t win many games. I can’t tell you how many times the defense had a stop, only to make a stupid mistake to keep a drive alive. They got punched in the mouth early, and didn’t respond. Good game to the tigers.

Evansville North defeated Castle at Castle 21-14 first game of the season this year, and Evansville Reitz defeated Evansville Memorial at Reitz 34-0 at the mid point of the season. -

Sectional 24 Thread
TransplantedPanther replied to TigerFan20's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Actually, Davies was a touch on the injured side so he didn’t play much (and when he did, you could see was having problems out there). With Vera at QB constantly, Boonville stacked the line knowing he wouldn’t throw the ball around like Davies does, and he was looking to run. it is the adage of do what you can with the hand you’re dealt. Last week, Davies was healthy, and threw for 278 and 3 TDs, thusly opening up the offense that wasn’t available against Boonville.
