The lack of talk from Lincoln City is surprising. Being the number 2 ranked team in 3A by Sagarin and 12th overall, I thought there would be more talk this week.
Heritage Hills High School has had a rough week off the field.

This is a quote from the NFHS stats manual from 2003.
SECTION 3:
First Downs
Provision 1: Any time the ball is advanced beyond the line-to-gain (forward stake) during a scrimmage play, a first down is recorded, provided a) the forward stake is in the field of play (between the goal lines), or b) a live-ball penalty during the play does not move the ball back behind the forward stake. This includes a touchdown play.

8tliShoe ·Family and friends,I am sure by now most of you are aware that a member of our small community was injured in a farming accident on Saturday that involved a combine. Blake, the 17-year-old son of Ben and Valerie (Tempel) Duttlinger, sustained serious injury to his left leg after becoming caught up in the machine while working on the family farm. He was transported via LifeFlight to the hospital where he immediately underwent surgery. Blake is currently hospitalized and will remain so for the foreseeable future. He underwent another surgery today and is scheduled for additional surgeries over the coming week. As you can imagine, he and his family have a long, difficult road ahead. The family is continuing to travel back and forth from their home here in Spencer County to the hospital in Evansville to be at Blake’s bedside. The Tempel/Duttlinger family has diligently served our community in countless ways for decades. They are the first in line to help others, especially in their hour of need. I believe we, as a community, now have the opportunity to step up and help them in their hour of need. At this time, we can ease their burden by:First and foremost…Offering prayers for everyone involved - Blake, his parents, his brother, his extended family, and every single person who has had or will have the opportunity to provide care, whether it be medical or spiritual. We should also be mindful of teammates, coaches, and other students who have been emotionally impacted. Blake is a junior at Heritage Hills High School where he is a dedicated member of both the Patriot Wrestling and Football teams.Second…Assisting the family with gas and meal expenses as they travel back and forth so they can remain at Blake’s side. To ensure the entirety of every donation is received by the family, the following methods for donation are being utilized:1. Cash2. Checks* (can be written directly to the family OR to me, Amy Tempel, with the designation “The Duttlinger’s” in the memo line)3. VenMo to @Amy-Tempel-1*Checks can be mailed to: Amy Tempel, Re: The Duttlingers, 3805 E CR 2000 N, Dale, IN 47523Names of individuals, but NOT amount donated, will be provided to the family UNLESS you specifically ask to remain anonymous.Third, a “meal train” sign up will be coordinated upon Blake’s homecoming. Plans will be made as that date becomes available. Finally, please be on the lookout for fundraising events being planned in our community. I will do my best to share each of those with you as plans are finalized. If you have questions, information, or ideas about how we can help the family, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me!Thank you in advance for all of the love and support I know you will give The Duttlinger’s.Much love and appreciation,Amy Tempel812-455-6601P.S. - Please feel free to share with anyone you think would appreciate the opportunity to bless the family!

Jets I don't believe heresay on anything any more. Show us the Non-Renewal signed doc. Oh that's right you dont have it I can already see the next attack format! LMAO
I am not sure why you would think Southridge would not want to play Linton again. At the time the Linton vs. Southridge game was not renewed Southridge was 7-0 all time vs. Linton.

Great players attract great players, as you know well.
We will see how it all plays out. The specific group has yet to win a sectional (or the conference)....my guess is that it ends very different this year. Everything seems to be in place.
I believe that Gibson Southern did win the Big School Division conference championship. I don't think that Southridge beating them changes that because Southridge is in the Small School Division.

So your not familiar with two of the greatest athletes in SS history? I mean their pictures are everywhere in the school, and have been for years! There's not a person from Rockport that wouldn't know who they are, but you prove my point. Who was your football coach at SS? And if you coached at SS you knew who these guys were too.
Butkus, it looks like you are talking about the 2 basketball players you said transferred to South Spencer last year. If that is the case why would their pictures be everywhere in the school for years?

Nothing is going to sour for what this team accomplishes. Whether it be 4-6 or 14-1
some of the comments on here are funny though because regardless of any of this transfer stuff or side chatter….the radio call is still an Allen drop back with a pass to Rory for a Td….bread and butter
Well without the 2 linemen that transferred in maybe the radio call is Allen sacked in the backfield for a 5 yard loss.

AK Steel is definitely not in North Spencer School Corporation. It does supply a lot of treated metal to Toyota though. There have been a few contributions to GS from HH though in football and elsewhere.
Do you think GS will accumulate enough success factor points to be in 4A, and where will that leave Memorial? It could be a very interesting alignment forthcoming depending on those programs and Mater Dei.
It's possible that the Titans will put a running clock on every team from here on out.
Gibson Southern would need to 6 classification points this year and next to move up to 4A. To get 6 points they would need to win semistate this year and next year or win state and regional this year and next year.
