I may be wrong on this but wasnt there a 5A team in recent history that won the state championship but had a losing record going into the tournament? I think this was prior to the 6A class.

Linton had a kid maybe 7 years ago. Played QB and Inside Linebacker. Very physical kid. He was a LB playing QB. Rupska I think his name was.

I'm sure it does. I'd just like to know for my own curiosity.

Does he need one? Maybe fresh eyes and a new voice *that can recruit*. Some coaches seem to have 'it' and others don't.
Of course there needs to be one. Why else would a long time assistant at a small West Virginia school even know about this job when people living here had no idea it was open?

Could end up being a big move, had a great record in WV. Wonder how many Jeff/NA kids he will get to come try and win 1A titles. Favorable situation to do so.
But what's his connection? Surely there are a lot of small, down on your luck programs between WV and Rock Creek.

At home (WW) the ONLY choice is the ribeye sandwiches from our concessions. Often imitated, never equaled. All other restaurants are 15+ minutes away and can not compete with our sandwiches.
When traveling to Paoli or Springs Valley I stop in Paoli at Porkys BBQ before the game. Springs Valley also requires a stop at West Baden Hotel for a hand dipped ice cream cone. Mitchell is a good excuse to go to Spring Mill Inn for the buffet. Perry Central I have to stop at Schwartz’s Amish Restaurant. Man I’m hungry, when does football start?
How did you not mention the cheesy potatoes King Phillip makes? Love those. Wish he'd leave a plate of those in the locker room for me.

Rock Creek secretly has an opening and hires a long time assistant from West Virginia. Seems strange.

I thought about Madison. That wouldn't be bad. I thought TC would help Perry Central. Madison would be cool though. Especially since it won't ever happen anyway.

Well since I'm sitting at school. All alone. By myself. Reading all this SIAC and PAC conference realignment talk. I'll throw this out there and let you rip it apart. I posted this a few years ago. Merge the PLAC and MSC just for football. Minimize travel times and simplify scheduling. If we could add Tell City to this, you'd have two 8 team divisions. North: Brownstown, Mitchell, Scottsburg, Springs Valley, Paoli, West Washington, Salem, Pekin. South: Tell City, Perry Central, Crawford County, North Harrison, Corydon, Clarksville, Charlestown, Silver Creek.
Weeks 1-7 Divisional Match-Ups
Week 8 Cross Division Match Up (Each team play a team from opposing division once out of 8 years.
Week 9 Playoff Week (North #1 vs. South #1 and so on.)
Week 10 Sectional.

I doubt there are more than 50 schools in the state that have a potential on line audience large enough to support any investment in this option
If they are not able to support this, I think the program should be contracted immediately.

Yep. Asks where my nearest sibling lives. I thought I knew. Evidently I don't .

I reset it but my phone and home computer won't accept the new one. It's fine. I need to spend less time on here when I'm home anyway.

There are currently 2 Middle School Math positions, 2 Middle School Special Ed positions, 1 Elementary Special Ed positions available in the Crawford County School Corporation for the upcoming year. There will be more openings very soon just not yet posted. I'm always looking for willing coaches and discuss we can discuss responsibilities if you are interested. This is a very underrated place to work. The insurance is great. The pay is very good. Message me here or email me at jreynolds@cccs.k12.in.us

Is there anyway we can lessen the password requirements on here? Somehow I got logged out of all my devices. Couldn't remember my password because this site has the strictest password requirements of any site I need a password for and I can't use the same password I use for everything. Made a new password and got logged back in on my work computer, which is really where I do my best posting, but I can't get logged in on my home computer and phone because either I can't remember my new, new password or I'm not sure why.

Could you give a gist of what it says? I have used all my courier press articles for a month....
Did you know that if you open up an Incognito Mode tab, that you can open these all you want? I had no idea that Incognito Mode had a 2nd use until I found this.

My last job I taught through a co-op. I paid like $253 a pay period for bad health insurance. The insurance alone made it worth it. Not to mention the bump in coaching stipend, bump in salary. Better teaching job. I just need coaches to come coach with me. It's not a bad deal here as long as you can deal with tough coaching. Most people can't do that I guess. I've probably been turned down by 50 people in my quest to find assistants. I haven't been turned down this much since my high school prom.

That include health insurance?
Yes. I pay nothing for health insurance. I pay $1 for vision and $1 for dental. On the family plan. Come on over!

And usually its not declining because students are choosing to go to a charter or private school! So the argument of "be a better school" does not apply!
Why is it declining? I know in our area, Springs Valley, Paoli, Crawford County, Orleans, NE Dubois, Shoals are all declining when there are more jobs in the area than ever before. So people aren't really transferring to other schools. Are people not reproducing as much? A smart man told me that the issue is there are more jobs in the area so all the people that like to draw unemployment moved out of the area. He might be on to something.

If there are any assistants out there looking for more responsibility, we at Crawford County have several middle school teaching openings and a few elementary positions available. We can discuss coaching responsibilities but we are pretty flexible. Little known fact about Crawford County, the benefits are great (I pay $1 for vision and $1 for dental and that's all I pay for insurance which covers me, my wife, and 4 kids) and the pay is better than most schools in our area. If interested, please email me at jreynolds@cccs.k12.in.us.
And a Foreign Language job in the high school! For those of you that like to speak Spanish.

Haven't heard much on Silver Creek, not that I want to name any names. I would think they have to be getting close to a hire though, going into the summer with little to no plan or worrying about what the new head coach may want to do, etc. That's a problem that can put one's team behind the eight ball.
I know they have a name they're taking to the board for approval. I do not know the name though.
