Fisher and Rode have been ruled out tonight

I’m expecting over 80 points in this one

I would assume one of the backups, probably Pedtke, but I can see some Wildcat formations too tonight.

Picks! Reitz at Central Give me the Panthers in a running clock for this. Harrison at Memorial Could be an interesting game at first depending on who plays for the Tigers tonight for HOCO. However, I’ll take the Tigers in this one by 3-4 scores. Bosse at North Oh this is going to be one interesting game to tune into. North and Bosse are looking for bounce back games after losing last week. Can North’s defense stop Bosse’s High-powered offense and hold them. Or can the Bulldogs exploit some of North’s defensive weaknesses and snag one off of 41? I think I’m going to take the Huskies by 17 in this one in another high scoring matchup. Jasper at Mater Dei Mater Dei really surprised me last week with their defense, it seems like they are slowly getting things together on that side of the ball. Offensively it wasn’t too pretty except for 1 drive. Jasper looked like they were going to get away from Bosse at the end of the 1H, but Bosse put up some big points in the 2H. However, Jasper did dropping 56 points on them. MD should have some juice in the battle of the Wildcats. But I’ll take Jasper by 10. Castle at VL This should be an exciting matchup between the Alices and the Knights. Castle comes into the game with a really good offense, as well as VL. However, both teams do struggle defensively at some points too. Strong feeling this game could be a high-scoring fest between the 2 teams. Can Castle stop VL’s elusive QB Hunt? Give me a close game, but Castle comes up top by 3.

Pretty sure #6 will be limited this week, unless something else changes.

Calpreps Harrison at Memorial (-41), 99% chance of winning for the Tigers Castle (-6) at VL, 62% chance of winning for the Knights Jasper (-19) at Mater Dei, 88% chance of winning for the Jasper Wildcats Reitz (-58) at Central, 100% chance of winning for the Panthers Bosse at North (-16), 86% chance of winning for the Huskies

Personally, I do not know why #5 doesn’t get more touches. But I know he had a problem holding onto the ball at one point

Power Rankings! 1. Reitz (4-0)- Defense is legit for the Panthers to the point where scoring enough gets the job done. 2. Memorial (4-0)- Another legit defense and #1 overall in the SIAC, great passing game from the Tigers, and questions on the run game. 3. Castle (3-1)- Very good offense from the Knights scoring around 41 points per game, still working on a few things defensively. 4. VL (3-1)- Pretty good offense from the Alices too, seems like they are still figuring some things on the defense. 5. Jasper (2-2)- Slowly getting there, but putting up 550 rushing yards is quite a feat no matter the opponent. 6. North (2-2)- Still a lot of potential for the Huskies if they can get a few things fixed. 7. Mater Dei (1-3)- MD well Defensively against Memorial last week holding them to 9 points. However, MD’s offense couldn’t do much last week against a very good Memorial Defense. 8. Bosse (1-3)- Lots of talent on Bosse especially in Wagner, but lots to work on defensively. 9. Harrison (0-4)- Gave Castle a game in the 1H for a bit before Castle completely took over. Long ways ahead for the Warriors. 10. Central (0-4)- Same boat with Harrison.

What we have learned: Mater Dei at Memorial (9-6 Memorial) Always a classic matchup between these two as it will either be a 20’s scoring game or a very defensive game. Which is what we got on Friday night, as the Tigers took the win in a defensive showdown. Both defenses looked very strong , while the offenses struggled during the game. Memorial remains at Enlow against Harrison, while MD heads over back to the Bowl to face Jasper. Central at VL (56-6 VL) Nothing much to say about this one, as VL rolled straight through Central in a blood bath. Looks like the VL defense forced 5 turnovers against Central. VL gets Castle at home in a big show down, Central will get Reitz at home. Harrison at Castle (49-7 Castle) Sounded like Harrison made this game early on in the 1st half scoring first and was deadlocked in 1st quarter and some of 2nd quarter. However, Castle took a 21-7 lead at half and then took over for the rest of the game to score 28 points in the 2H. Big matchup at Inman Field, as Castle heads up US41 against VL. Harrison travels to Enlow for Memorial. Bosse at Jasper (56-34 Jasper) Jasper jumped out to a 28-6 lead at HT, after Bosse scored early on. It appeared Jasper had Bosse under control offensively. While I didn’t fully tune into the game, looked to me Bosse and Jasper went back and forth in scoring in the 2H. But Jasper scored and defended well enough to keep a safe distance at the end. Bosse will travel to North, while Jasper heads to the Bowl to face MD. North at Reitz (24-7 Reitz) Deja vu, I think I’ve seen this score before, as Reitz wins another 24-7 game (3 straight weeks of the same score). Another great defensive showing from the Panthers, as they held North to just 7 points. It looked like both teams did have a mistakes/penalties throughout the game. And it seemed like after the 1H, both teams couldn’t do much in scoring. North will get Bosse at home, while Reitz heads over to Central.

A lot of mistakes/penalties with a mixture of banged up players the last 2 games

Haha, there were a lot no gains/negative gains for the most. If you like defense, this was the game for you. Both teams played hard in this matchup. And lots of penalties for both teams. At one point MD was like 3rd and 4 at mid and it ended up being 3rd and 22. This game reminded of the one back in 2019 where there was nothing going for both teams. How did the Titans do against SW?
