  1. Wow....penalty flags only thing keeping this game from getting completely out of hand. HH given 3 first downs by penalties on 4th down.
  2. And my opinion was getting bashed......21-3 at halftime and it isn’t even THAT close. HH is terribly overmatched, just as almost anybody in 3A would have been and has been. Just because I was basing my opinion last week on my town’s team, doesn’t mean that my opinion when I don’t have a dog in the fight is going to be way off. You definitely can tell that Chatard has players that only play 1 way. The physicality in which they play at gives them an advantage not many at the 3A level can compete with.
  3. “Attack” actually is a little strong....bad choice of words. My bad....“Bash” is probably better. Anyway, I am just as free to post my opinion as anybody else on here. It’s just that, an opinion. Nah, I’m good....I don’t have a dog in this fight. I just looked at things pertaining to these two teams. After seeing HH in person, they are a big physical team. They were bigger than Danville last week in most positions, which aided them. But they will not have that size advantage vs Chatard. My opinion is still the same.
  4. Not one time did I troll Chatard. Show me where I did. I’m not trolling HH either. And yes, that game WAS close for 3 qtrs. (3-0 after 1, 10-9 at half, 12-10 after 3....how is that not close). You actually expect me to pick against my town’s team?? You been having Tiger BL’s with STC? I do hope both teams come out healthy. And I don’t expect anything less than both teams leaving it all on the field. But I am able to have my opinion on how the game will go just as much as you or the next person. Just because I have a different opinion then you gives you no right to attack me and my opinion. If you have a different opinion, that’s ok...I’m good with that. But for you to come on here with your “holier than thou” attitude about your opinion is ridiculous. I’ll be there on Friday.....because I love high school football. Good luck to the Patriots. But you know my opinion.
  5. I picked Danville 34-21. I’m not afraid to say that. But that prediction has absolutely nothing to do with this HH/Chatard game.
  6. That’s what I figured. There is no way you can make me believe that won’t be a huge difference in this game. I won’t say HH will be “gassed”, but I will say that they “won’t be nearly as fresh” as Chatard. Taylor is a back that 95% of the schools in the state probably don’t have a scout player on their team that can imitate what he can do. I’m still sticking with my prediction of Chatard winning by a minimum of 3 to 4 TDs.
  7. Enjoyed the HH-Danville game last week. For 3 quarters, it was very competitive and hard hitting (HH 12 - Danville 10 after 3) and not a dominating performance like some have said. HH did end up with 3 INTs. 1 was on a tipped pass, 1 was underthrown, and the other was a great play by #3 stepping in front of the WR. Overall, I think it was a pretty strong performance from a sophomore QB and this being his first year of varsity action. Danville’s D showed up to play. Couldn’t be more proud of their effort. The two late INT’s in the 4th qtr really did them in. The final score was not indicative of that game. That Danville team doesn’t lose very much to graduation. I look for them to quite possibly be right back in the same position they were this postseason. But credit to HH for capitalizing on the Danville turnovers. That’s what good teams do. With that being said, I look for Chatard to use their passing game to set up their run game. Chatard’s OL matches up better size wise with HH. If Chatard has the success Danville did for the first half with their passing game, I believe HH will be in for a long afternoon. HH has to keep the ball away from the Chatard offense. You can say what you want about previous Chatard teams, but this one seems to have a different mentality. I just don’t see how HH stops them for 4 qtrs. I think Chatard ends up being too much for HH, who has about 8 or 9 guys who play both ways, and wins by 3 or 4 TDs. Great season from HH who maximized what they had with a senior class that stuck together and made it to the State Championship.
  8. I sure am glad my peeps showed up! I knew I wasn’t in this by myself. The Warriors travel in packs! Just like the way the Warriors will stop the run tomorrow night! There will be multiple hats getting to the ball on every play. I love the fact that this defense is getting overlooked....keep it up. Since the postseason started, these guys have been playing with an attitude. I don’t see that changing tomorrow night! Warriors 34 - HH 21
  9. This is something we can agree on STC! Also, as for the Sagarin ratings, who cares about that either. Those ratings don’t mean anything when it comes to postseason play. It’s all about winning and moving on to the next week.....that’s it!
  10. Boy, you guys must have some pretty strong moonshine your using to spike the kool-aid down there! Danville the 4th best team in the PAC? Come on.....
  11. From the way they have played since the start of the postseason, this is a different Danville team than the one that played WeBo a month and a half ago. They appear to be hitting harder, are more crisp offensively, and are very solid defensively. Somebody on here compared Danville to Gibson Southern, am I right? I think Danville is better on both sides of the ball than GS is....didn’t GS have HH down 20-7 late in that game only to let it slip away? If Danville gets up 20-7 late, they won’t let it get away from them.
  12. As a fan, I don’t have to worry about it. I’m sure the coaches will do their best to get the boys ready. I just wonder where all this disdain for us comes from? Relax, Clown....the majority of us here in Danville was rooting for you guys to beat Concordia back in ‘16. But apparently you can’t wish the same kind of luck for us. Thanks anyway....the guys will do the best they can and we’ll see what happens.
