    What are these advantages that private schools supposedly have?

    Private schools have to compete not just for football players but for literally their entire student body.  The parents of these students all make sacrifices in time and money that public school parents simply do not have to make.   The parents always have the option of deciding that these sacrifices are too much and simply walking away.   There is always a public alternative that the parents have already paid for anyway with their own tax money.

    The facilities at private schools are often not their own.  Covenant Christian HS uses the Zionsville West Middle School field as its home field.  In 2016, Lutheran had to move its regional game against Fountain Central to Beech Grove's field as Lutheran's old home field was simply not that good of a field.  How is playing on a field that's not your own an advantage? 

    I will grant that many 1A public schools have stretched resources.  They are at least guaranteed a student body from year to year and have their own facilities rather than borrowing someone else's.  Once again, what advantages do private schools supposedly have?

     

     

     

    Private schools can recruit kids to go to school there for sports. They also don’t require a certain zone to live in for kids that want to go there, ANYBODY can go there if they wanted to.

    I saw that spot, surprised that the refs missed it by that much. And as Temptation mentioned, the “catch” made that was clearly out of bounds, and the receiver juggled the ball. I’m starting to now think that it might be something beyond those plays that the BD guys are talking about.

    On a separate note, does anybody know about the “controversy” of the semi-state between CG and BD? I’ve seen stuff on Twitter from some BD guys saying that they should’ve been in the state game. Gipson (BD QB) tweeted at a CG student account saying that everybody besides CG knew what happened. They were saying that they were getting cheated, so I was curious to see if this is made up or not.

    I’m more than qualified to speak on it...unfortunately I’ve been to games were Southport was on the losing end playing CG, I gave props when deserved...

    Said it once and I’ll say it again Center Grove is the exception and not the rule...

    Never said that you couldn’t speak on the issue because you are a Southport fan 🙄. And what issue is there? CG fans being “wack” and “obnoxious“?

    For the most part Center Grove fans are wack as can be anyways some of the most annoying and obnoxious fans out there...

    Are you sure that you aren’t talking about Cathedral fans? I’ve never heard somebody say that CG fans are wack and obnoxious. These are some pretty big words coming from a Southport fan...
